I forgot how much I enjoyed this series until I started book 2 and was right back into it! The world-building is rich yet easy to follow and understand, taking readers through the stunning differences between the kingdoms and introducing us to several new places. The characters continue to develop beautifully, and the bond between Nyx, Zaria, Luka, and the entire found family grows stronger. Jaxus and Kiera's chemistry is great, very relatable, and their banter is top-notch!
If you're into dragon shifters, fated mates, and a strong found family vibe, then this series is for you! I can't wait to see what happens in the next book.

A solid 4.25/5.
This is the second book in the series and just as amazing as the first.
We found a new flyer/ryder pairing in an unexpected place and followed them along on their journey to gain acceptance and work together to help bring peace to on of their friends.
If you are not a huge fantasy person, this book is for you. The focus is more on relationships and friendships.
Plus both of the main characters are so likeable.
This is the second book in the series and just as amazing as the first.

ARC REVIEW!!
Wow! Eden Eaves has created an absolute masterpiece with the second book of The Flyers of the First Kingdom series! This was my first time reading an ARC and I can say confidently that I chose the perfect book for my first one! Once I got introduced to everyone and the storyline, I couldn’t put it down! It trapped me in!
The first book in the series, The Ryder of the Night, was so good that I thought it would be hard to top it but boyy was I absolutely WRONG! I love Nyx with all of my heart but Jaxus forced his way into my heart as well. My favorite thing about this book, this series really, is how you can see the differences between the Kingdoms, it’s so well written that you feel like you’re in each Kingdom. Learning about Kiera’s world and home was so enjoyable and it was so much fun learning about healers.
Eden Eaves did a fantastic job with the characters, they all found their way into my heart. I was so excited to see that we got to be introduced to Nyx and Zaria again (and Luka of course). They go through so much trauma and heartbreak, seeing them stand together through everything is heart warming. They really are one big family. Kiera and Jaxus are so flipping cute, they let each other have their independence but also depend on each other. They fully trust each other and it’s so amazing to witness their love. They can banter back and forth but still be there for each other whenever they need.
I loved meeting all of the other characters, from Kiera’s home to Jaxus’ hidden “Kingdom”. The plot was so interesting and keeps you on the edge of your seat! It definitely makes you want to skip ahead and spoil it for yourself. I absolutely enjoyed this book and the first book! I fully recommend this series if you love dragons, what makes it even better is the fact that they’re dragon shifters!
Make sure you check out Book #1, The Ryder of the Night, you will LOVE it as much as the second book!

Absolutely magnificent storytelling. Superb. Better than watching a Ferrari winning at Monza. I love it more than Charles Leclerc’s dimples, and I love them a lot.
Book one, The Ryder of the Night, was great and has set the scene for this new fantasy world of the twelve kingdoms. In book two, Zaria and Nyx are loved up and she’s getting good dragon dick, but our boy is sadder than Max Verstappen when he doesn’t finish first (that is very sad). He’s hurting and it’s causing problems in the First Kingdom.
Jaxus has claimed his ryder, Kiera, but she’s resisting his dragon boy charms because she’s a healer and you can’t do two jobs at once. Jaxus and Kiera to the rescue. Tiny mushrooms and potions galore.
Honestly, Jaxus could run for president and prime minister and he would get my vote. He’s so level headed, so thoughtful and so altruistic. He’s a dragon for the people, all people, or all dragons.
Some laugh out loud moments, some sexy knotting moments, and just the most fabulous evolving story line.
I’m still not ready to forgive the writers for hurting my feels in Ryder, but they are winning me over, little by little.
“What’s wrong with unicorns?” She asked, holding back a laugh.

We see the crew altogether trying the put the pieces of their hearts back together after the devastating loss of Kol in book 1. This book made me just as sad as the characters simply because Kol; Nyx's identical twin brother was such a great character in book 1 and his loss is definitely noticeable.
Kiera is a healer in the 1st kingdom, taking pride in serving those in need all while trying to be there for her BFF Nyx who is spiraling with unimaginable grief over the loss of his brother. When Nyx's grief causes him to fall in dangerous state of mind, Kiera knows that she must do something to help him because the fate of their Kingdom rests upon Nyx's leadership but in order for Kiera to be successful she must put aside her stubborn, narrow minded ways and seek help from the one person she has been trying g to avoid at all costs.
This was a story of overcoming grief and setting aside preconceived notions about people just because they are different and raised differently than the status quo.
Kiera and Jaxus; although perfect for each other, had alot of obstacles to overcome before they could do what was necessary to save their friend and the fate of the 1st Kingdom.

You know when you read a series and the familiarity with the characters and the writing style gives you a warm fuzzy feeling? That's what this book did for me. All the books in this series are long, but because they are fairly slow you can get comfortable with the characters, mysteries, and romance at a comfortable pace. I am constantly thinking about what I am going to read next, and this book helped me chill out (a little bit🤭) while reading it. It may also have to do with the fact that I much prefer reading physical books over ebooks and I got to do that here.
Anyways, on to the book contents. Kiera and Jaxus have decent banter and are clearly very attracted to each other. I enjoyed the slow burn, although I feel like there could have been a little more tension/yearning. The overall conflict of the world is being teased out slowly, which is kind of nice, but it does mean this likely won't be resolved by the 4 books currently out/expected in the series (ie. there will be more). Although the author told me this could be a standalone (I accidentally bought this, instead of the first in the series), I think it's better if you read the first one, before this one. If you enjoy a long fantasy series with lots of romances, and lots of characters this could be for you.

The Flyers of the First Kingdom series returns with The Keeper of the Kingdoms and once again Eden Eaves had me enthralled in the magical world of the twelve kingdoms as Zaria and Nyx continued their adventures with the addition of several new characters including Kiera and Jaxus whose banter I loved. With dragons and ryders, fae and magic, fated mates and not forgetting an intriguing plot with enough twists and turns to keep readers engrossed…. although if I’m being honest, dragons were more than enough to grab my attention and everything else was a bonus.
The balance of drama and spice was spot on with Zaria and Nyx’s relationship as they faced up to what lay ahead of them, and I loved how all the characters came together and created their own found family. The world building for this series was fantastic with each new kingdom more unique than the last and described so vividly it was easy to almost visualise scenes in your mind’s eye as they played out. Two books in and I’m hooked and already eagerly awaiting the release of the next book

Totally fantastic!
This book was absolutely fantastic – I loved the story of Kiera who is one of the finest healers in the 12 kingdoms and when she discovers that she is also a dragon ryder, she starts avoiding Jax. In the kingdoms, its nearly unheard of to be a healer AND a dragon ryder, and it doesn’t help that she has had a huge crush on Jaxus since he arrived. Jaxus has a lot of secrets himself, but he is unable to tell anyone about it since he was forced to give a blood oath which will kill him if he tells where he comes from, but he also knows that Kiera is his fated mate.
As they grow closer to each other and learn how to be a dragon and ryder, they are trying to figure out what is going on with this undead army. Jax knows that he cant keep his secrets anymore from Kiera, so he has to take her with him to where he comes from which that part was absolutely crazy.
There was so much that happened in this story, but it was SOOO intriguing, and I cant wait to see what happens next!

Okay, WOW!!! Eden Eaves has done it again with the second installment of The Flyers of the First Kingdom series!
Book 1, The Ryder of the Night, was so amazing and this one is equally so! I was sucked in and enraptured from the very beginning. Once the storyline got going, I just could not stop! It was engaging and exciting with lots of action throughout!
I absolutely love the brilliant world building Eden Eaves has achieved. The differences in each Kingdom are as equally breathtaking! I truly enjoyed learning about the Third Kingdom and the healers in this one. And let’s not forget about the hidden “kingdom” Jaxus hails from. What a wild ride that was, while visiting there.
The characters are masterfully crafted and continue to develop throughout the book. I love that we have even more of Nyx, Zaria and Luka. The found family that they have all created is quite magical. The loss that they share over Sol’s tragic death is heartbreaking, but they are always there for each other; there is just so much passion and devotion.
Kiera and Jaxus are just so freaking adorable together. It took quite some coaxing from Jaxus for Kiera to come around to the idea of being his bonded Ryder. After all, she’s just a healer, in her mind. But when they come together, it’s 🔥🔥! And their banter is top notch!
The plot was engaging and intriguing and kept you guessing just a bit with a couple little twists. There are definitely a few little hidden Easter eggs within the book and I have my theories!
I thoroughly enjoyed every word of this book! I highly recommend this series to anyone who loves dragon shifters (LOTS and lots of delicious dragon shifters, I might add 🫠🫠), fated mates, he falls first, found family, and did I mention dragons? Yes, lots of DRAGONS!!!

I loved this book and the world building. This is my first book by Eden and this series- and I fell in love. First of all her main characters are so well written and their struggles make you stay glued to the pages at every turn. It gave me game of thrones, acotar, lord of the rings ish vibes but made its own if that makes sense. The tension between the fox and mmc and how they end up at the epilogue made it har to put the book down. I loved the story she gave them and her gran - she’s a Fran I wish we all had , you will quickly fall in love with them as well as the rest of the “circle” haha now ma’am we need the rest of the series !

Keira is the smartest bean and an accomplished healer, I love that she doesn’t just fall in line. Naturally, like any strong woman she makes my pansexual heart happy.
The Nyx and Zaria content made me so happy, especially how Nyx’s depression was handled.
Luka is the love of life, he needs a book.
Faolan better make a resurgence because he’s hot and mysterious.

Well this was better than the first book, but the overarching plot of war/Dragon's Bane is being held back A LOT. I was honestly hoping this was more plot driven that it was. Kiera and Jaxus are a great match. This is a HEA with dragon shifters, but honestly, you could read this on its own and not even bother with book one and still have a good idea with what is going on. My biggest issue is this needs more editing as there were a number of times there was mind-to-mind speaking that should have been in italics but was not. So, just a personal pet peeve of mine, but did not take away from the story. This one takes place in the capital as well as the Forest Kingdom, so it was neat to read about a different place than just the capital.

Overall I’m enjoying this series. I particularly enjoyed the world-building with tie-ins and commentary about our world. This installment had a lot to say about healers and an overworked healthcare system translated into a fantasy world. Kiera really captures the spirit of someone who works in healthcare.
I loved Keira and Jaxus as characters and the chemistry between them. (Loved their “touch her and die” moment!) Keira and Zaria growing in their friendship was a delightful addition to the story. Also, Gran almost stole the show!
As much as I enjoyed all of these elements, I really wish I had more of Nyx and Zaria’s POV during this part of the story. They were going through such a big, emotional struggle and I missed the emotional impact of their side of the storyline.

Thank you Eden for another ✨✨✨✨✨read in this magical world you have created! This is the second book of The Flyers of the First Kingdom and this book stole my heart just as much as book one!
I loved how Nyx, Zaria, and Luka are still present while new characters are also being introduced! Oooo Kiera and Jaxus may just be my new favorite couple now too! They are cute, hard headed and have some chefs kiss banter!
The world building is magnificent while being easy to follow and enjoy!

I really enjoyed this. It's action packed, the plot is still loving forward, and I loved that it's from different characters pov. I did feel like the last 15-20% was rushed and parts were jumbled and confusing, but otherwise still really great. I would definitely be jumping right into the third book if it was out already! This series is quickly climbing the ranks of favorites with dragons.

3.0 — I felt like this one started off more interesting and engaging than the first book and then right when the action should have made the story “hard to put down”, instead it started getting repetitive and distracting. It’s like the author forgot to keep track of continuity while writing and would start a new chapter recapping the very end of the last chapter. It was weird and a bit annoying and mostly just distracting when you want the story to move forward.
It’s an easy, fluffy, fun read for when you just need a break or something to tide you over till the next book comes out.

Amazing story!
I definitely enjoyed this story. I loved Kiera and all her attitude. I know we are given her physical description several times, but to me she comes across as someone with beautiful dark skin with long braids. I love picturing her like that along side Jaxus with his long blonde locks…gorgeous!! LOL! Anyways, the display of magic they had at the end gives me hope for Kol. I haven’t given up on him yet…he will come back…he just has to!! I am really excited for Luka’s story! I can’t wait to see what headstrong dragon claims him…it’ll be sooooo good!!

Eeeekkkk! Such an extraordinary second book in this series. I absolutely adored Kiera and Jaxus' story! I couldn't put it down. Just like the first book, this one continues with an incredible plot, character development, secrets, delicious spice, and all our favorite characters from the first book, too. Filled with twists and turns that will have you gasping and needing more, it is guaranteed to have you on the edge of your seat. I absolutely love Eden Eaves. Her writing is phenomenal. I highly recommend this series!

This book was even better than I knew it would be. The authors take us into a world of flying dragons, magic, intrigue and love.
It seems like I’ve waited forever for this book and it did not disappoint! I was immediately sucked into this world where Nyx is slowly losing it and his friends are desperately trying to find answers. I still laugh at the tiny mushrooms. I cannot wait for the next book! Oh… and I want Jaxus as my dragon boyfriend!!

Friendship, love, lust, challenges, lessons, ryding (in all the best ways) emotional and mental growth….oh and dragons! This book has everything I want in it! I’m in love with Jax and Kiera and their relationship. Jax is perfect and worked at Kiera’s pace which I adored. Their banter and chemistry was TOP TIER!! I can’t wait for more from this world and to continue the world building and character storylines!

I really enjoyed Keira and Jax’ story. We continue to see more world building by the author’s, and more questions uncovered than answers revealed. I loved the forest kingdom; I could absolutely picture the tree house filled land. So magical! I enjoyed Keira’s personal growth throughout this story and Jax is such a big cinnamon roll. Except he does not love tiny mushrooms! Also Keira’s grandma was such a great character, plus I have a feeling she might get her own love interest later…

I really enjoy this series. The way these authors write is just captivating. Once you start you can't stop. We get to meet so many new characters in this book but so many from the first book are still there. I get a few questions answered from book 1 but this just gives you more new questions. Need the next one.

What an amazing magical adventure. The world-building and imagery is absolutely amazing. The banter between Jax and Kiera was fabulous and had me laughing out loud at moments. I definitely enjoyed this read and can't wait to see what happens next.

Solid second book in the series! Loved getting Jaxus & Kiera's story! Also loved seeing different kingdoms and finding more secrets that will certainly affect our growing crew of friends!

OMG that was a brilliant read ! I'm all over the place do I review or grab the next book guess what ! I needed others to find this review that I've recommended the book , it's was an amazing storyline it keeps you on the edge of your seat ,and the characters are a stroke of genius wish I could give it a 100 stars but it well deserves 5 stars

This book is like Eragon meets ACOTAR. It's full of magic and shifters with a heavy focus on the dragon shifters. I was entranced. It was a little bit of a slow start, but once it picks up you will be hooked until the end. I can't wait for the next installment and to see what that one brings.

This book was definitely a page turner and I enjoyed reading it. I haven't finished it yet due to health issues but so far I am thoroughly enjoying this book.
