Oh, how could I have forgotten about Rokkaku and Fujisaki? They are absolutely bizarre supporting characters in the show and it's good to see they're eased into the plot here, although Rokkaku's spectacularly bad timing and lack of awareness is still proudly on display. Poor Kurosawa; that dude is not competition, just a kiddo.
This was a fun volume to see in terms of how different the show became--for one thing, there's a company trip involving a nude spa that is here that most certainly wasn't presented like that in the adaptation for obvious reasons. But the beats are still there. I loved the scene of Adachi coming to Fujisaki's rescue and then Kurosawa coming to his, and I felt like the introduction of the sister was less shoehorned here. All in all, I liked this even better than volume one and look forward to volume three--but if you weren't caught up in the first volume, I don't think this is going to get any better for you.
