The Court of Infinites #3
A Moonlit Bargain
Forced into a bargain she played no part in making, Archer Orion finds herself inexplicably tied to the mysterious and handsome Loche.
Loche claims to be the Prince of the Ancients, a god amongst gods, but no one quite knows why he is helping them or his true intentions. Against better judgment, Archer's sister, Renata, seems to trust him.
Still recovering from her months spent tortured under the hand of Chaos, Archer finds that everything she once held dear has been turned against her. Even her own sister.
With no one to turn to, and willing to do anything to drive the demons away, Archer finds herself making one additional, slightly desperate, bargain with Loche. Will this new bargain end the way she thinks? Or will she find solace in the one person she never thought possible?

My actual rating is closer to 4.25!!
This book was an emotional roller coaster . My heart hurt for a good portion of the book (RUDE of you B.L Talley) . This particular book in the series follows Archer, the youngest sister to Renata who has been the Fmc for the past 2 books. This story of hers was full of pain , trauma, anger, broken trust, self discovery, and self healing to name a few. The author did such a fantastic job with showing Archer’s complexity as a character and mapping out her .character journey.
More than the romance, I was very much invested in the shifting dynamic of these two sisters who have only ever had each other for so long. MY HEART BROKE FOR THEM COLLECTIVELY !!! The author does such a beautiful job a#t depicting pain and has written some lines that left me like 😮.
Loche is the mysterious MMC of this novel and we meet him in the last book. He leaves an impression from the minute we meet him and it was absolutely fascinating seeing peeks into his personality and motivations while seeing him trying to win Archer ! He is
As side notes , I LOVED seeing Callax never failing to be a doting sweetie pie . He supports Ren’s power and choices without a second thought . Witnessing these two finally be in love with each other is so good for my soul.
I adored Loche and Archer together. They have such a fun and yet beautifully fragile dynamic . They are two people who are hurt and trying to wade through it all, but can definitely rely on each other ! Loche is so sweet and we all need someone that carries your book. Loche is so beautifully patient . The most heartbroken can offer the biggest warmth .
I am excited for the next book in this world to see what is in store for our beloved healing sisters !

Thank you BL Talley for this ARC - I absolutely think this is my favorite book in the series - it pulls SO much emotion and follows one of my favorite characters in the whole story. Just so, so good. Highly recommend this series!

I received an ARC copy of this book.
This novella made me feel. Feel angry at why Archer decides to push everyone away. Feel sad at a strained sister relationship. Feel bewilderment at the fact that Archer has the audacity to resent Rens new life. But that is what makes a good book right? Feeling. Could I relate in the way that Archer treated everyone? Absolutely not. Am I glad that I got to see her open up to a very hot God? Yes. Talley writes masterpieces, details are so stricken throughout that I just fall in love with her stories. I hope I get to see more of Loche and Archer - they are a fascinating couple to read about.

I’m confused? Wtf kinda ending was that? I still have so many questions and there’s a ton of unresolved plot lines. There better be another book bc that was extremely unsatisfying

Thank you B.L. Talley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I really appreciated the emotional journey we took in this Novella, following Archer's story and how she battles with the emotional and physical abuse she underwent during her captivity. Getting taken into Archer's head was such a roller coaster, you can feel her longing, her anger and resentment. The back and forth between the present and the past was so well paced, and getting clips of Loche's POV in the intro of each chapter gave you just enough into his head to leave you wanting to know more.
Just like with the first two books in this series B.L. Talley is able to really capture the layers of the characters and not just show but make you feel what they're going through. The capture of drowning and self hatred, the feminine rage while also longing for someone to understand is completely relatable and such well handled representation.
I think Callax has some competition in the love interest department in this series as my favorite guy. Loche is just so gone for Archer, willing to meet her more than half way and take his leads from her but also not entirely letting her retreat into herself and her despair. He just kept putting out his hand for her.
I didn't want this novella to end and I cannot wait to see where this leads into the continuation of the series.

I was lucky enough to be sent an ARC copy of this book so thank you very much!
I adored this novella. It showed the perspective of being the younger and polar opposite sister, still going through their own trauma but in a much different way. The Loche x Archer relationship was written really well and I loved that he was exactly what she needed and not written as a very stereotypical enemies x lovers fated mates male.
The mix between past and present chapters was well done – usually I don’t enjoy jumping in time but you did this well.
Overall I’m so glad I read this. Don’t get me wrong, the things you made me feel HURT, but it was all for good reasons. At about the 2/3rds mark I really struggled to finish this, not because I didn’t enjoy it but because I didn’t want it to finish, I really loved this novella.

4.5⭐️ .25🌶️ Thank you B.L. Talley for the arc!
I absolutely loved this book! I enjoyed seeing Archer’s journey through dealing with her trauma and discovering more of her powers.
I loved Loche so much(maybe even a little more than Callax 🫣) he’s so kind and patient with Archer as she heals. I love a very powerful and feared man that has a soft spot for the fmc.
I only wish this book had more of Archer and Loche’s relationship. Hopefully the next book will have some moments between the two!

waste of time
I read this book thinking it was a continuation of the series and the action but I was wrong. This book is all about Archer and her trauma and her healing process. This is a very quick read and did not need to be its own book. It’s always disappointing when authors do this. I wanted to DNF over and over again. Hope whoever reads this review enjoys the book more than I did.

unsatisfying ending to say the least. i was hoping something more would happen in this book between archer and loche but alas, it seems i will have to wait for the final book for that. i’m not mad at the progress they did make, but damn, why make a novella just for them and not complete their relationship?

Wow
This one went really deep. There are a lot of touch subjects in this story, but they are totally relevant to the plot. The love story is amazing, and I love how the MMC made his intentions know, but never pushed the FMC. He knew what would come of them, but he let her take the lead. She found herself again, and did some healing along the way.

Loved it started right where it left off. And omg I thought I was a Callax girl...but Loche, has my heart for some reason. This series has me in a chokehold if you haven't read them, I highly suggest you do. Feminine rage, gods, war, and so much more!

Out of the books in this series I love this book the most. The connection between characters was very well written. There is time jumps so trying to read carefully on that was a must to understand the present. Can’t wait to see more of Archer.

I loved finally getting to read Archers story. This was full of emotions and definitely took me on a roller coaster ride. To see the relationship between her and Loche unfold was interesting to say the least. But my heart aches for her and all she has to endure. As with the first two books in this series I was not able to put it down! I feel privileged to have been given an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion and the only thing left to say is I can’t wait to see what B.L. Talley has in store next!
