DOG GONE ON 30A

Rate this book
Claire jumps at the chance to adopt an adorable puppy. She falls in love with the sweet, wiggly ball of fur and names her Honey. Little does she know that this puppy has special abilities. Three malicious individuals will stop at nothing to acquire Honey…even murder.

Meanwhile tension is growing on the Emerald Coast. Vacationers are enraged because beach access has been reduced due to the large number of private homes along the coast. On the other hand, homeowners feel they have a right to the beach in front of their homes. 30A has become a battle ground with unhappy people on both sides of the issue.

Dazzling sunshine, turquoise water and sugar white sand form the backdrop to this exciting mystery along the Emerald Coast of Florida’s Panhandle.

My name is Deborah Williamson Rine. I grew up in Illinois, New York and Washington D.C. I was fortunate to spend a year in France when fifteen and a year in Göteborg, Sweden following high school. After Northwestern University, I lived in Milan, Verona, Paris and Brussels. These experiences created a love of different cultures, people and food. “Life is a smorgasbord and I want to sample it all.” I was a French teacher for many years. The Lake is my first book. I don’t know why I waited so long to start writing because it’s a delectable challenge. I love diving into the story and seeing what happens!

Cute story, a bit far-fetched (NPI). I like DR and her settings. This one just fell flat for me. Wasn’t her usual caliber of setting, pacing, and character development. Left several things unanswered and had me questioning Hobbs. She is a lovely human and I got to meet her on my most recent trip to the Emerald Coast. Hoping she has more ECM in her future.

I love this series set on 30A. Always fun to read. This one was especially fun with the introduction of dogs!
