This was different : unlike anything I've ever read before, truly. Everything about it was great; the writing style flowed, the characters felt real and most importantly you made me like a character that was unlikeable at the same time.

Wow! What an interesting escape from reality! The ending! I didn’t see that coming!

I had a love/hate relationship with main character Kevin.  At times, Kevin was downright revolting, but I found his sarcasm entertaining and his introspection enlightening.  While Kevin is difficult to like, I wanted to see him flourish.  At first glance, this seems to be a story of one man’s struggles, but it is much more.  It is a story about small town living, big time ambitions, relationships and demons...both imagined and real!

Jeff’s writing style is most intriguing.  His words paint a picture so vivid you are swept away to another world.  I was sorry to see this story end. I am currently rereading Jeffrey's earlier works and am eagerly awaiting new stories from this author!

The title of the book was somewhat intriguing and complex to understand at a glance. It took me more than a few minutes to understand it meant. Those were the minutes it took for me to become hooked.
I had a strange liking for the main character Kevin. Though he is generally rash and unpleasant, to me i was just trying to understand why he'll be like that. its a minor mental challenge i do where i put myself in people's shoes.
The great thing about the book also, was how the author rightly captured and developed the character. I found Code junky fun and entertaining to read. I recommend it for friends. My advice is to maintain your neutral stance and enjoy the flow of the novel. i really enjoyed it.

This book was given to me by one of my students. It was a bit inappropriate but an interesting read. I would give this book a 3.5.
