Exotic was written by Ms. Marata Eros for her devoted fans and given FREE as an early Christmas present!
Exotic is a short & sweet quickie that answers some pressing questions from Ember & the Druid Breeders series; and leaves you hanging with baited breath for the release of CONSTANTINE!
We get to be voyeurs for a short time in the lives of our Exotics, Tarrin & Lucia; the King & Queen, Kier & Holly; and everyone's favourite bad boy Constantine and his maiden charge, Ember. And experience some mouth watering coupling. I don't want to give too much away, so YOU NEED TO READ IT!
A great quickie to take us into Christmas! Ho, Ho, Ho! Merry Exoticmas!

Constantine is on the run. The Faction, the Mer and the Druids all hunting him for his crimes. He just killed the Mer Prince, destroyed Demons and has absconded with the Mer Princess, Ember. Con actually saved Ember but how will he ever clear his name before he is destroyed? Will Lucia and Tarrin pause long enough to discover the truth? What's with this combustible heat between Ember and Con?

This was a fantastic short story that gave you just a taste of the Druid Breeder series. Offered free by the author, this story is immediately smokin’ HOT (with explicit erotic encounters). Exotic is a quick, appetizing snippet that definitely left you wanting more!

Exotic (The Druid Breeders, #7.5)

by Marata Eros

What an awesome Christmas present!

This short story begins where EMBER ended. Constantine, the consummate bad-boy, has wreaked havoc upon the Mer people, in more ways than one, and yet Constantine’s involvement and subsequent actions in this latest escapade appear to be warranted, and dare I say it—chivalrous!

Obviously, the 'joke' here, is uttering 'Constantine and chivalrous' in the same sentence –the notion itself is oxymoronic. LOL!

EXOTIC is not only the title of the latest installment of The Druid Breeders saga; but ‘Exotics’ are also special vampires of rare lineage. We meet again Tarrin and Lucia, who are assigned to track, apprehend and dispense punishment, if needed, to our beloved Constantine. Tarrin and Lucia are determined to find Con, albeit for different reasons; one has a sense of duty, and the other, an incredible sense of guilt.

The majority of the story is told from Tarrin’s point-of-view with a bit of Constantine and Lucia’s internal dialogue sprinkled in the mix for added benefit and insight. This ensures the reader can easily follow the storyline.

The Druid Breeders series is known for its erotically descriptive scenes and this short story is no different. EXOTIC unfolds with a vividly descriptive and expressive scene—just pure eroticism at its best! Although Constantine is not afforded an opportunity to have his ‘special brand of sex’, he does briefly reflect on the possibility—as only he could enjoy it. As I have said before—he is, who he is... and that is why I absolutely and unequivocally LOVE him! =;-)

The reader also peeks into the lives of Tarrin and Lucia as we’ve never seen them. It’s comforting to see the ‘elusive search and connection’ Tarrin desperately sought in the previous books reciprocated by Lucia; the two Exotics appear to be a happy and loving couple. **Le sigh**

This story also sets the tone and scene for Constantine’s upcoming book. Have I expressed how much I love Con? Yes. I do believe I have mentioned Con in every paragraph thus far (except the paragraph above), but then again, it is to be expected—this short story is all about him, as is the next book that is scheduled for release in January 2013, and I can’t wait! =;-)

Don’t miss this FREE Christmas gift!

I wanted to know more of Lucia and Tarran's story. This short does go into it a little more, but not much. I was confused a little because, I was under the impression at the end of Thresher that Constantine was dead, but evidently he is not, but may be soon.

For the cost of this novelette I was pretty disappointed. This should have been a few book. Now the next in the series doesn't even cover what was started here.

This is a review of the Druid Series Books 1-9, as if this was one book. The same review will be posted for all books in this series on my Goodreads profile. Spoiler free review! Star levels may change with the different books as some were more compelling than others. But all dependent on each other.
I LOVED this series. This is a pretty epic weaving of druids, vampires, Mers, etc. It is imperative, in my opinion, to read these back to back to back. Do. Not. Stop. Marata Eros has an incredible ability to paint a richly visual environment and give the reader tangible characters that you can attach to - for better or worse! To me, no matter the content or genre, if I can “see” what I’m reading, the author has gone above and beyond in creating a work of art. I became invested in the entire story, the complete lives and history that were being played out before me. This story is saturated with intense action, hot sex, mythical creatures, and a captivating history of another kind of existence. Even reading them in order, the timeline and characters can get a little confusing at times, but don’t give up, it’s worth it!
After reading the entire thing, it all comes into perspective. I loved trying to work it out along the way. I truly enjoyed the back and forth of characters, timeline, events, etc. I admit I wrote the author at one point to make sure I was reading things in the right order and wasn’t missing anything, but other than that, I really, really liked having to focus as much as I did to keep it all straight.
This is a pretty epic time line of events, characters and their history. It is important to read them in order. Things do seem to double back from time to time, and it is completely worth re-reading as you go along to make sure you have it straight! Not many series are worth that, again, in my opinion. This one was.

”…first of twelve inches.”

oh WOW .. How is that possible, can it even fit ?!? ...

Exotic is part of the Druid Breeders series which is to be read after Thresher, TDB #7. It gets us ready for the 8th book. This super short sexcerpt spotlighted more on the Exotics, Lucia & Tarrin and Constantine which the next book is supposed to be about … Con's a bad bad boy *tsk-tsk-tsk* [image error]

I'm not really sure but I think this book is dependent on the others in the series. It was a little confusing and a little hard to follow. It was very sexually explicit from page one but seemed to be disjointed the further along I read. For instance, towards the end of the book, Con was supposed to stop to talk to the faction and the next thing I know the Druids are fading into oblivion and Con is in a fight for his life. ???? Don't know where I got lost at but it may be because this book needs to be read with the others in the series to make sense to the novice reader of the series.

Yes, there are so many more questions now (thank you Captain Obvious), but it still filled in some other gaps quite nicely. Certainly didn't mind the vivid descriptions either. Was also pretty pleased that it mentioned the time jump, just in case anyone was confused about when things were happening. Another job nicely done!

"This book picks up where Ember & Thresher leaves off with Tarrin and Constantine's stories .

The only downside is that Constantine is turning out to have too many other paranormal species in his bloodline. Otherwise, this book is an excellent continuation."
