Ros writes fresh, funny, genre-busting fiction. She digs feisty heroines, good friends, quirky families, heroes to make you sigh and tingle, and a dash of fantasy from time to time.

This was a nice short read about two people learning valuable lessons from their past and making a go for the future.

Because the books are based on the television series The bold and the beautiful, it made perfect sense to me that the book will be a short read.

I however was a little skeptical that the author would be able to capture all the wonderful passionate romance within only a few chapters, when it is played out on TV it is very easy to feel all the emotions because you are seeing it acted out in front of you, yes in many books this happens too but not all authors are able to pull it off.

I'm pleased to say that the author did a great job in letting me feel as if it was indeed being played out in front of me.

The read tells of Rick and Steffy, they each have their own set of demons from the past, but they do also reach the point where they have something really special together, but just as in the TV series you think this it is all is going well for this couple , something or someone comes out of the shadows and blows it all to smithereens.

The smithereens comes in the form of Steffy having had enough of everyone's opinion and tries to drown their words out by jumping on a bike and taking off, then crashes. The real question is not if she will survive but if Rick will get to her in time before she takes off and out of his life yet again.

I loved the characters, they were well written and I very much enjoyed the spunk and squaring off sessions. Nice background descriptions and unlike the series on TV so much more of a thrilling less predictable ending.

Love Steffy in the show, Rick not so much though.

This story however did a good job in changing my mind about him and in my opinion a better job in exploring the repercussions in Steffy's miscarriage and the toll it has taken on her much better than the show has.

Happy to see Phoebe is not forgotten and still has an effect on Steffy and Rick's lives and hasn't been swept under the rug to never be spoken of ever again.

This is the third of series of novels inspired by the long time daytime soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful that I have read.

This one focuses on Steffy Forrester and her complicated feelings for both her husband Liam and ex lover Rick Forrester along with grief of miscarriage of her and Liam's baby and anniversary of death of her twin sister Phoebe.

I am not a fan of the Steffy character so I found this novel a struggle to be really invested in the storyline. Also little error in characterisation...it has Steffy as being a designer sketching designs ...in the series Steffy has never shown any talents in that regard so that was odd and a bit jarring.

Otherwise the characters were pretty consistent with the show other than Liam having a bit more of an arrogant and aggressive streak. He is really just an indecisive wimp on the show playing with Steffy and Hope's emotions as he can never decide who he wants to be with. Here he is portrayed as an aggressive jealous type picking a fight with Rick. That was a bit odd.

Still a relatively enjoyable easy read ...one definitely for the fans which I most definitely am of the show!

Emotional book

As a bold and beautiful fan, I had to purchase each of these novels. This one is about my favorite character, Steffy. Coming home from Paris after a serious miscarriage, Steffy deals with Rick, an ex lover, Liam, soon to be ex husband and Brooke, formerly Steffy 's step mother. On top of It all, its the anniversary of her twin sister's death. Phoebe was the opposite of Steffy, who loves excitement and danger. I enjoy this very much.
