This book contains a set of principles that aim to help readers achieve a successful and fulfilling life. It is more than just a book; it includes several interactive exercises that allow readers to assess themselves, along with blank pages to reflect on and write down their own thoughts.
Personally, I feel that people can broadly be divided into two groups: the self-disciplined and the non-disciplined. I believe the methods presented in this book are more likely to work for the former. If someone is already self-disciplined, they may not need a specific set of principles to succeed in life. On the other hand, if someone lacks self-discipline, simply having a collection of principles in front of them may not be enough, because they are unlikely to follow them consistently.
“If you are too proud of what you know or of how good you are at something, you will learn less, make inferior decisions, and fall short of your potential”
I actually bought this book by mistake thinking it was the original principles, but I was happily surprised by how insightful this was for me. It's a book/journal that teaches you how to better understand yourself and what sort of life path you should take depending on your own life principles. I'm normally not one to keep a journal, but this is one I'll definitely keep on my bedstand.
More structured and much shorter than the original book make it more implementable. QR code to the "Princle in action" app brings in the relatable case study is a plus. Like the first book, this is no a one-and-done book and you will have to revisit the concepts regularly.
