Hardboiled: Crime and Detective

Rate this book
Here's the low down on 'Hardboiled' and this just for you reader and browser types. Within every city in every corner of the world, there are the mean streets and dark alley ways that the cesspools of humanity call home. Most of these types of places are hidden from view from the more polite society types. You come down here looking for trouble and you're going to find it. You're going to find the dregs of social incorrectness, the rotten deals, the hard way of living, dope and booze, dames gone bad and the 'down on his luck' enforcer types. Even got a few PI's and some cops that make life hard every once in awhile and some of them are even looking for a killing good time. Everyone takes his licks and no 'civilized' laws apply here. It's just the laws of the jungle that reign supreme. Yeah it's rough down here. You might walk outa here with a few lumps or a busted lip but consider yourself lucky. These dark alleyways of life are ruled by the good guys or the bad, you just gotta chose your sides carefully. The only question I gotta ask is which side you on?

Follow along the mean streets of Hardboiled for a darker slice of life as told by Greg McWhorter, Paul Dick, Stephen D. Rogers, Scathe meic Beorh, James D. Reed, Rachel Cann, Roger Leatherwood, John L. Thompson, Bruce H. Markuson, Rachel Towns, Matthew Wilson, T. Fox Dunham, R.J. Spears, Gregory Jeffers, Cindy Rosmus, Kenneth James Crist, Gary Clifton, John H. Dromey, W. Jack Savage, Anton Sim and Michael J. Solender.

Born in the Midlands during the 1930’s, then brought up from modest beginnings in the South of England, the author was shocked to discover at the age of 43, during a divorce and custody battle for his children, that he was adopted at birth. He decided to search for his natural parents, which led to an entirely new and wealthy family with an inspiring 700 year old history. The next thirty years were an incredible journey covering every emotion from excitement, joy, sadness and despair, including an extraordinary number of unusual coincidences and a series of lucky breaks.
Before his retirement he pursued a stimulating career as a chartered civil engineer, managing multi-million pound projects in the UK. A keen sportsman all his life, he is also passionate about travelling, history, music, and meeting people.
