Tilly H. Colson is a contemporary romance author who enjoys writing stories filled with emotion, heartache, and happily ever afters for men who range from golden retrievers to alpha protectors, and the amazing women they love!!
I liked the book a lot but where is the ending? What happens to Natalie and Marco after their arrest? How does Addie react to finding out Emma is her mom? And a bunch of other questions. Great premise, strong FMC, likable MMC but there are just to many story lines that didn’t get wrapped up to give it more than a 3 star review.

This is my 2nd book in this collection but the plot!!! It took me a while before it all clicked in my head. Wow. my only downside is that there is a certain passage that I found long, even if I understand Sebastian's protective side, I found it redundant

This is the third book in the “Men of Clarence County Series”. It tells the story of Sebastian, an ex Navy Seal, and Emma, aka “Sprinkles”, who owns the local bakery/coffee shop. This can be read as a standalone but I would recommend reading the other two first. This was a great read and I could not put it down - Tilly has done it again! There is never a dull moment! This book is everything you expect from a alpha male small town romance! I’m very happily hooked 😊 I did not want it to end!
The chemistry between Sebastian and Emma sizzles 🔥🔥 The more time they spend together, the closer they get! You will fall in love with them, hoping that everything with work out for them and if they have a future together. The sexual tension starts from the moment they meet and only gets stronger - it is HOT 🥵 🥵 Sebastian is an ex Navy seal that is use to controlling his emotions, but around Sprinkles …… will the barrier come down and let her into his heart?
A thoroughly enjoyable read from page to page, one chapter to the next - at times you are metaphorical “on the edge of your chair” wondering what will happen next. Overall, I would highly recommend this book and you will not be disappointed 😊
This book starts off fun and flirty then becomes a little more intense and emotional. Emma’s story is not an easy one, but one thing is very clear. Emma is a warrior, a survivor of brutality and emotional abuse. She has learned to endure, to guard her heart and to keep moving forward. Instead of being constantly afraid, bitter and distant, Emma has made a place for herself in this small town she now calls home. She is kind, caring and and has a big, generous heart. No one knows what she has been through, and would never guess that she has a broken heart.
Sebastian, the handsome billionaire newcomer, makes it a point to visit Emma’s bakery daily. He goes not only for the coffee, but also for the chance to wind Emma up a bit, just to see her fiery spirit. She is more than a challenge to him. She stirs something within him he has never felt before and he really wants to get to know her better. Emma doesn’t care about his wealth and puts him in his place with her take no guff attitude. Seeing her nearly run over by a car brings out the protective side of him, a side that is never far from the surface due go his SEAL training. Their date makes it clear to Sebastian that he wants a future with the red-hot, feisty baker. Unfortunately, she seems to be the target of someone determined to do her harm. Not on his watch. He brings in his former SEAL teammates, who now part of an elite security team he is building, to help him protect Emma and apprehend her predator.
Their story becomes very twisty, rather emotional and intense. Emma’s past slowly comes to light and everyone who has come to love Emma or views her as a friend rallies to protect and support her. Through it all, Sebastian shows Emma that he is all in, no matter how hard she tries to push him away.
Sebastian is a standalone contemporary romance by Tilly H Colson. This is the third book of the Men of Clarence County, and introduces the reader to another spin off series. And considering that I am totally new to Clarence County and Colson as an author, this just got me all excited with possibilities.
The titular character, Sebastian Montgomery is an ex Navy SEAL who made money by being an investor in his brother's own ventures while he was deployed. And now he's ready to expand his little empire with a security company. Sebastian ended up in the small town of Bell Ridge and wants more than anything to help his new community. However, he also likes the woman who owns the bakery across the road from his building - a lot. And now she's in danger.
Emma Sullivan is the much loved baker of Bell Ridge. She wasn't born and raised there but she had settled in, found friends and began to put down roots. But now she's in danger and the identity of the man placing her in the firing line is unknown, even to Emma. She's got one local creep that is showing interest in her, but she also has some explosive secrets.
This is a fast paced, action packed, with the small town romance vibe and a protective ex-Navy billionaire ready to save a damsel in distress ... this is my guilty pleasure. There is also mystery and danger around every corner, which is where our hero's very specific set of skills comes into play.
I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Emma starts off with playful bickering with Sebastian that is definitely flirting although she’s in denial. Sebastian saves her from getting hit by a car and her response is to be rude to him.
Then Sebastian bids $50000 on a date with her at an auction. All it took was one fancy date and she’s nice to him. After the date, she’s attacked in her apartment and the attacker tells her he was sent by someone to retrieve her. Sebastian has his former military friends come to town to help protect her. When Emma meets them, they’re explaining the security they provide, delivering high profile targets, etc. Emma flips out saying that she won’t let them take her back to “him” and none of the men even question why she’s freaking out or who she’s talking about. Perhaps they assume it’s her former stepfather; I don’t even know who she’s running from at this point. The final straw for me is when she received a deck of tarot cards except they were all the death card. She lied to one of Sebastian’s men and said that she ordered those. Why waste these men’s time if she’s just going to lie? She seems to dumb to live.
The book started off strong but kind of fizzled out for me. Based on how Emma was acting about her body scars, it was easy to figure out what her "secret" was. Her emotions were all over the place and not in a good way. She went from sobbing, scared, and broken hearted, to cracking jokes with Sebastian and the guys like she wasn't ugly crying a second ago. Then there's the fact that despite her life literally being in danger she doesn't tell Sebastian and his team all about her past. Did the thought never cross her mind that her psycho "husband" might be after her!? That being said, there are lots of sweet moments, possessive moments, and vulnerable moments that I did enjoy. The bond she built with one of the guys, I forget the name, like a brother was sweet. I was utterly disappointed in the fact that we didn't get to see Emma with her Luna. Even if it was a flashforward epilogue type situation. It's like that whole track in the story was swept under the bridge and that made the story feel unfinished to me. Was not a fan of how ended at all - especially going into John's POV. I thought I missed something there.
I don’t know what possessed me to finish Sebastian, but I regret every brain cell I lost in the process. Emma, our supposed heroine, is not just stupid—she is aggressively, offensively dumb. She’s the kind of dumb that makes you want to reach into the book, shake her, and ask if she’s ever had a single critical thought in her life.
Emma spends the entire book making decisions that defy logic, self-preservation, and basic human common sense. Red flags? She collects them like Pokémon cards. Every time she has a chance to make a reasonable choice, she actively swerves into disaster like it’s a sport. At one point, she is such a dumb btchhh, and I swear, I felt my soul leave my body.
This book isn’t a romance; it’s a masterclass in frustration. If you want to experience the literary equivalent of screaming into a void, this is the book for you. Otherwise, spare yourself the headache and read literally anything else.
This story is so, so good! The suspense is strong and the romance is delicious. I find this to be the most mystery/suspense-filled book of the series. And the most rage inducing.
Emma owns the bakery in Bell Ridge. Sebastian is a former Navy SEAL, current billionaire starting a new business in Bell Ridge. She thinks he is a (hella hot) playboy creep trying to destroy her happiness & town. He thinks she is a gorgeous angel he loves to verbally spar & flirt with. She calls him "Suits". He calls her "Sprinkles". They are delightful!!
Emma's past comes back to haunt them. Things get intense.
And that's all I can say without risking spoilers. Just know that Emma and Seb are precious characters you should meet. And their story is beautiful. I do recommend having tissues on hand if you are a crier like me.
You also get to meet Seb's team, aka the guys from the Silver Springs series, and they are pretty awesome.
I really wanted to like this story. I did. But it just fell so short for me.
I am glad that I jumped right to the story in this series I thought I would like best; it tells me that I'm probably not missing out on anything by not reading any of the others.
I think my biggest problem was our FMC. Emma was so... willfully a dumbass for so much of this story, it felt like. And it often felt like the author was trying to give her more credit and make her smarter, but it all just got so annoying. I didn't mind Seb, but honestly he was pretty generic a lot of the time, too.
So much of this story was so convenient, too. All of the circumstances bringing everything together... I knew how this story was going to end well before the 50% mark. And I was mostly right. Predictability in a romance story is one thing, but in a romantic suspense story? Nah. I just didn't feel it. And I don't even read that many suspense books, romance or otherwise.
I loved Sebastian: Men of Clarence County Book 3 Book 3 of Men of Clarence County. Sebastian and Emma have a smoldering chemistry but also bicker like siblings. Just when Emma thinks she can be happy her past seems to be coming back to haunt her. Having Sebastian there to help her makes everything easier but it’s hard to open up about her past but too put it ti rest she must face it, even if it could cost her, her life. Sebastian doesn’t want to lose his love and he will do anything in his power to keep her safe but what if it’s not enough? I laughed and cried, and some parts were hard to read but so worth it. I loved the storyline and the characters. I want to know these people. I would definitely recommend this book and I can’t wait for more.

Emma is a local baker. A favorite in the small town of Bell Ridge. Across the street is a new business with a wealthy, handsome owner. Every morning he goes into Emma's bakery to get his coffee. His second reason is he enjoys teasing Emma, who will have no part in his flirting. His social record has her assuming he is an egotistical socialite. Someone she wants no part of. She is still trying to hide from her step dad and her horrible ex husband. Secrets never seem to stay hidden and she is now in danger. Who comes to her rescue? Sebastian, of course. Will they be able to get her elusive criminal ex and save Emma? The two do stand together, but, there are spies in their midst. This is quite an exciting action packed page turner!.

Sebastian was fun. A bit underdeveloped with his backstory, but otherwise he’s the main reason to read the book.
Emma was all over the place. One second she’s supposed to be “strong and autonomous” but then the next 70 pages she’s bawling her eyes out and falling into Sebastian’s arms like a damsel in distress.
Barely any relational development between the two MC’s. The plot had potential, but again, no development. The twist was nice, wish we could’ve had more with that. Overall, the book just felt copy/paste with each paragraph reiterating the same shit and not giving us a full story.
If you want fluff with very little spice and a dusting of tough reality, give it a read.
Tilly did it again. Sebastian was another great addition to the Men of Clarence County. I could not put this book down, it was a perfect mix of romance and suspense as Emma's past catches up with her and Sebastian and his team are willing to do whatever it takes to protect her. My only complaint is while we got to catch up with some of our past favorite characters in this series I still wasn't ready for it to end, I could have easily sat through hundreds more pages on these characters. I can't wait for the next addition to the series. We were also introduced to a group of men that I can't wait to get more of in their own spin off series.
So this was a quick easy read. The story was great. A billionaire and the baker. Sebastian was great and i loved him. I feel like he did everything right. Emma on the other hand actually got on my nerves a little bit. She was whiney and the fact the author wanted to make her appear so independent all the time was ridiculous. I want to see the girl in the book be ok with the man she loves helping her. Couples are suppose to support each other and that’s all Sebastian was trying to do. support her and protect her. And she fought him at every turn. Sebastian is what made this a good book not Emma. (Also why did they even bring Alan into the story….)
"who did this to you" trope is my kryptonite and she was a damsel with a capital D. Like the bad things that happened to her kept on coming
❣ ex-military hero ❣ playboy reputation ❣ small town ❣ group of military friends ❣ H pays 50k at an auction to get a date with her ❣ h attacked and almost assaulted at her house after their date ❣ h running from an abusive criminal cartel husband from the past ❣ loss of a child (h) ❣ panic attack upon seeing the husband ❣ h faints at the sight of blood ❣ she actually gets taken by the bad guy in the end and is tortured to *almost* death and then left to bleed out in front of the hero's house
Emotional and touching: This was a really enjoyable romantic suspense novel. Although both Sebastian and Emma had experienced tragic pasts and were facing danger and anxiety, overall the tone of this book was sweet and tender. I loved how protective and caring not only Sebastian was, but also so were all of his teammates. It was fun meeting these guys who are going to be featured in a new spinoff series. Whilst this book was also part of a series, it could nevertheless be enjoyed as a standalone. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I love the billionaire/baker aspect of this story. I thought Sebastian and Emma were adorable.
The first 1/3 of the book was nice and had a fluffy aspect to it. The remaining 2/4 leaned more into the suspense aspect. I found this very interesting, though at spots I felt like certain points got dragged out a bit. Overall it was an enjoyable read. I wish we had more of their actual HEA instead of the 10 pages at the very end. Such a huge lead up to not get much of the reward at the end. Overall cute couple, interesting idea, decent read.
This book has it all! The romance is swoon worthy with a MMC who won't give up on the woman he loves. Em is a very independent and stubborn MFC who does not make it easy for Seb. She denies her feelings at every turn but lurking around always is..... you guessed is Seb along with his team of Seals. This baker and billionaire are the perfect match. Both has issues and one is threatening to break it all. The suspense, on my, I couldn't read fast enough. This book definitely left me wanting more. Totally reccomend.
Tropes: 🏷️Enemies to Lovers 🏷️Billionaire Romance 🏷️Romantic Suspense 🏷️Protective MMC
Tropes: Sebastian has moved to small town Texas and met the local baker Emma. And since he met her he was enthralled and got joy in getting under her skin. And she has a past that is chasing her. So for an alpha protective male who has a woman that caught his eye he does everything he can to keep her safe. I like that she felt safe sassing him and showing her independence and that he appreciated that about her and didn’t mind the banter. I thought they were good together.
This charming romantic suspense pulls you in without you realising how much you are anticipating the next page. Seb & Emma bring so much sass, banter & heart to the story. Seb's team & the town become family you get excited to know more. Suspense comes in all directions that leaves you gripping the edge. Read & enjoy it! Honest review!.

This is an intriguing and captivating second story in the "Men of Clarence County". This read is about Sebastian and Emma. The story is an emotional blend of suspense, danger, action, romance and so much more. The story is so good and may contain a trigger for some. I don't want to give anything away in this one. It is so intriguing and had me emersed and engaged from the very beginning. I love the characters and how the story develops.
Oh wow. It was such a rollercoaster of emotions, but thr love that shines through from all of the characters in their disfunctional family is just amazing. I love how everyone just comes together in crisises and Tilly has definitely written this so well that I felt all the emotions includong the tears amd the laughs x Can not wait for more from this town and its team.
Each book gets a little more scary and a lot darker. If I thought the last book had me on the edge of my seat, it was nothing compared to this one. I had no idea how we could get our romantic happy ever after in this. I did figure out one of the major twists early on and was just shouting at the characters as if they could hear me. As intense as this book was, I did really enjoy it, even when the characters were driving me crazy.
THIS. BOOK. By far, my favorite men of Clarence county, but not for Sebastian… for Emma! She is strong, witty, and friggin badass as hell. She ain’t takin’ no crap from anyone, Sebastian included. (I actually felt bad for him at some points because she wasn’t giving him ANYTHING emotionally he wanted.) All in all, a great read and I am excited to keep reading more books in the series.
I enjoyed reading this book. Once I started reading Sebastian, I didn't want to put it down. The characters are great and the storyline grabbed my attention from the start. I don't want to spoil this book for anyone so I won't go into details. I recommend reading this book. It is a very enjoyable book.
