He's the most wanted outlaw in Skull Rock. She's the sheriff tasked with hunting him down. But when Loretta Lee finally catches Daddy, she discovers he's not be the monster the town thinks he is.

Or is he...?

From the
This is a steamy, lighthearted, standalone Father's Day romance you can read in about 60 minutes, at any time of year! I go for QUALITY over QUANTITY when it comes to spice, and I rate my chili peppers at about a 3-4.

You'll find the following

HFN ending

claws, tail, spurs
Western setting
badass woman
enemies-to-lovers
grumpy/sunshine
plot twist
More TBD (I haven't written it yet)

About the Series

Small town apocalypses? Dystopian billionaires? Fae mafia bosses? How about hockey playing shifters? A Greek god desperately in need of a nanny?

You may ask, "Why?" This series of steamy holiday instaloves asks, "Why not?" Why not a mishmash of genres? Why not funny, off-the-wall romance with hot spice and big heart? Why not a sexy hockey shifter rom-com starring the Easter bunny?

Inside these 12 books, you'll find 12 short standalone instaloves, each set during a different holiday in every month of the year.

"Even August?" I hear you asking.

Yes, friend. Even August.

"But there isn't even a holiday in Aug—"

Don't worry about it. It's gonna be fine. I have, like, eight months to figure that out. Just start at December, and we'll all be fine. Okay?

Okay.

Hi! I'm Liz. I'm a writer and off-grid liveaboard sailor. I gallivant about the high seas with my partner and my dog, turning my adventures into speculative fiction.

While I explore the world, my books explore themes adjacent to mental health, the loneliness epidemic, addiction, tech creep, climate change, and the looming collapse of society (but, like...in a fun way.)

When I'm not penning novels about the impending apocalypse, I make money tearing other writers' manuscripts to shreds. Others call this pastime 'editing', and if you're interested, I can do it for you.

On the rare occasion I'm not working, you can find me swimming, complaining about the weather, telling my dog I love her for the bazillionth time today, or watching Taskmaster.

I’ve been enjoying reading these short stories. Even the last one that was a little out of my league of interest… but this one? Really?! Really enjoyed it until the last few pages. Completely unnecessary. Just… ugh.

Fun spicy short story

I'm not normally into westerns at all and I still haven't decided how I feel about the ending, but Liz Shiptons is a fantastic writer. This short story was a fun read and I felt like I could really hear and see these characters.

Glad it was short. The dedication to hokey cowpoke language made it nearly unreadable. Maybe someone from that region would appreciate seeing it in print.

once again, i’m not gonna lie, this was a read that was more for giggles than seriousness. someone told me about it and i was like okay let me see.

i regret learning how to read because what was THAT. props to the author for the mixed reviews it’s gotten but it absolutely isn’t my cup of tea.

I'm not a fan of Westerns or monster romance, but I love the twisted way Liz's mind works, so this was just plain fun.
