A decent book on how many people in NASCAR have found faith in their Christian beliefs. The roles of the people interviewed range from a fan experience officer to pit crew members to crew chiefs, drivers and broadcasters. Each chapter tell a little bit about the person's career, how they embrace their Christian faith and what they believe it has done or will do for them. The stories did start to bend together, but the message that the book was supposed to deliver was sent and if nothing else, this book deserves an above average rating.
I wish to thank the publisher and NetGalley for providing a copy of the book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
Sundays At The Track by Lee Weeks is an intense, thought-provoking and inspirational compilation of stories from several NASCAR personalities and their encounters with God. This is a powerful, motivational and inspirational book. I have to admit I didn’t know to expect when I saw the title of this book. It’s not just about racing; it’s not just for men to read; it’s for teenagers and women as well and focuses on things we all experience in life, for example, fear, heartbreak, forgiveness and a myriad of emotions and things we all feel, experience and go through. I received a copy of this book from the author and these opinions are strictly my own. I rated it a five.
People who work at NASCAR share their stories about life and faith. The stories are very short and not very in-depth. There are stories about loss, winning, losing, and just hard work. It was a boring read over all.
Thirty-eight stories of faith from varies people who work in NASCAR some famous others not. Faith stories of how they found Jesus, how he helped find their priorities in work and life. Interesting to read how others found Christ.
