I will read this book at least once a year. Derek was, in my opinion, one of greatest Bible teachers this world has ever known. My love for the Word has been enhanced through his teaching. He not only teaches what the Bible says, he teaches how to apply it. He has challenged me to memorize scripture more, to believe God more, and to pray more, especially for our nations and leaders.

I really enjoyed this book on prayer. The author's perspective on the subject was both insightful and inspiring. I don't know how anyone could read this book and not want to pray afterwards. That said, I didn't agree with all of his theological conclusions and I felt he needed more substance to back up a few of his claims. Even so, it's a good book and I would rate it around 3.5 stars.

Second, God understands you better than you understand yourself. And third, God wants only the best for you. Secrets of a prayer warrior
This is a comprehensive book, well written and easy to read.
The author has a deep experience about the subject and that comes through in the things he teaches about prayer.
The book describes the many different ways there are that we can pray. There is something for everyone, actually there are a lot of things in here for everyone.
One of the things I like is that the author is open and accepting of people and not narrow and judgemental as many are. I expect that this is a symptom of the authors deep prayer life.
Anyway I really enjoyed reading this book and I learned many things thatI think will stay with me.
If you want to develop a prayer life, or improve the one that you have then this book will support you strongly in doing that. You a don’t need to do everything in here, pick the types of prayers that resonate with you and practice those. I am sure that you will come across somethings that really resonate with you.
I recommend this book.

"There are only two alternatives about prayer: Either God answers prayer, or He does not. If he does not answer prayer, it is foolish to pray. And if He does answer prayer, it is foolish not to pray."
One needn't consider themselves an 'intercessor' to glean a great bit of good from this book. (In fact, it might be best if you don't already have too many preconceived ideas about prayer before going into this.) Personally, I'd been dodging the label of intercessor for years, and only recently realized how much I need to take responsibility for the directive to "pray without ceasing."
One of the many important concepts Prince brings up is how prayer must be part of our spiritual warfare arsenal--not merely a defensive measure, but an offensive weapon.
"God has provided us three main spiritual weapons: The Word of God, The name of Jesus, and the blood of Jesus. We launch these weapons by these means: prayer, praise preaching, and testimony."
As with all Derek Prince books I've read thus far, his style is steady, intelligent, and conversational. Kindly, yet earnest. And, as per ususal, he's got plenty of memorable quotes worth revisiting. I found myself highlighting EXTENSIVELY.
If one allows it, this book has the potential to help you view prayer from an entirely different angle.
"If you are praying in unbelief, you probably say, 'I've been praying for ten years and nothing has happened.' But if you're praying in faith, you say, 'the answer is ten years nearer than when I started praying.'"
^^Ooof! That was the gentlest and most effective attitude adjustment I'd received in a LONG time. ^^
Prince helpfully caps the end of each chapter with an example prayer. This manages to give specific direction without straying into legalistic imperative. (i.e. if you don't know how, why, or what to pray, this should help get your wheels turning.)

This book is amazing. I listened to it on Audible and felt like I was mental noting all of the time. The stories are inspirational and faith building. Highly recommended for people who want to grow in their understanding of and practice of prayer .

Derek Prince a renowned know Bible Teacher has a wake up call to the Church, that is to each individual that makes up the Church. This book is not fresh of the selves it's been out for a while and Derek has advanced upwards for several years now.
He talks of the power of pray the power and authority of each one of us and how we can change the world in line with GOD's will. I find it refreshing to hear teachers from different backgrounds who come at familiar subjects with a different slant so you can refocus on what we should all be doing or all should know. The fact that GOD tests us all as individuals we will all have something fresh to give so if you have a chance to hear or read from those you don't hear regularly then I think it is good to do so and i find this a excellent example of a man who has something very special to offer and well worth listening to (or reading obviously) a definite case of many advisers being with listening to.
I definitely recommend this book in my opinion you will gain from doing so wether you already love his teaching our are new to Derek Prince.

This book is like spending 3 months in church, hearing a series of sermons on prayer - heavy-going at times, but good and beneficial. Chapter 6 (about mid-heaven) was new to me and I'm a bit unsure about it, but the late Derek Prince was a good Bible-teacher and explained his point-of-view clearly. I was challenged by the part in chapter 7 where he says: Criticising yourself is criticising God's handiwork, and I really enjoyed the last chapter about the God of abundance and the glory of His church.

This book was EXCELLENT! It not only explains the power of prayer, but enjoining it with a holy lifestyle, fasting, proper motive and an emphasis on seeking and submitting to God's Will and His plan. You MUST read it multiple times to fully digest the content, but it challenges you to self-reflect and self-evaluate and places you on the proper path to not just praying, but GETTING what you prayed for!! It's time to change the STORY AND HISTORY through prayer!!

Originally, I borrowed the audiobook read by Basil Sands from the library because I only read the surname and thought it was a book by Joseph Prince, the Singapore pastor. Prior to this book, I did not recall the name, Derek Prince. I'm glad I made the mistake as it has been a long time since I've read something spiritual. The book contains an extensive amount of Pentecostal doctrine, and may not be understood by those without that denominational background.

Complete, biblically based work on prayer
I have read a few books on the subject, some from other well-known authors, but none explains the role of prayer in the Christian’s life like this book by Derek Prince. His guidance on why and how to pray are properly sustained by scripture and will definitely stand the test of time. An excellent work worth re-reading a couple more times.

I would rate this book as a 10 ⭐️. Secrets of a Prayer Warrior is more than just learning how to pray, but who to pray for, why we pray is so important for the times we are living in and how to hang on to every Word of God and embracing the Holy Spirit as He continues to strengthen us and give us wisdom to reach as many lost souls and just be the hands and feet of Jesus and be a light in this dark world.

Cómo cristianos soy partidaria que es correcto que no sólo leamos la Biblia, sino también libros que nos ayuden a entenderla, a no malinterpretarla y a saber cuál es el mensaje que Dios nos deja a través de ella.
Dios estoy segura que pone personas capacitadas que sabrán a través de sus páginas como guiarnos de acuerdo a su voluntad y si eres joven cristiano como yo, también creo que es bueno leer este tipo de libros ya que como muchos sabemos en el mundo espiritual somos los más atacados y lo que tendemos a desviarnos del camino más rápido.
Este libro fue una bendición, porque a parte de darte lo que dice el título, te da mucho más que eso, es un libro muy bien documentado y puedo sentir que sin duda Dios usaba al autor para predicar su palabra.
La oración es cuando hablamos con nuestro padre, pero no cabe duda de que cuando nos vamos a dirigir al señor en actitud de oración tenemos que saber que es ante el Rey de Reyes y Señor de Señores y que por consiguiente si hay que tener cierta reverencia cuando nos dirijimos a él.
Este libro me dio pautas muy útiles que hacen que nuestra oración sea de otro nivel, una oración que si llegue al corazón de nuestro Señor, y no me refiero a la parte externa me refiero a temas como, las intenciones, nuestra actitud al hacerlo, que No debemos decir porque eso también es importante y como hacer que nuestra oración se ajuste a la voluntad de Dios para que esta se cumpla.
Es un libro que me envolvió y me hizo hacer muchas cuestionantes sobre cómo había orado por mucho tiempo.
De verdad en mi caso fue de bendición a mi vida, lo recomiendo mucho y sin duda espero que también sea de bendición para otros.

This book distils down and categorises the power of prayer into timeless principles. From types of prayer to conditions of answered prayer, discovering God's will and spiritual warfare and so on.
I didn't read this book to suddenly expect dramatic miracles like "healing amputees" (a common argument that non-believers use to prove prayer is useless). That is extreme and poor logic, in my opinion. Miracles can and do happen; Jesus himself performed quite a number to demonstrate who he was - the Son of God. If they happened all the time, then they wouldn't be miracles, would they?
Consistent genuine prayer and relationship with God bring results, and Prince demonstrates this in the book many a time. And I too, when in constant communion with God, see out-of-the-ordinary co-incidences in my life. This book re-sharpened my prayer life by reminding me of timeless principles taught by one of the best.

I love it and appreciate each teaching and lesson in this book as a beginner and a student in the family of God, our Father in Heaven's kingdom, who wants to be used by God as a prayer warrior. This book by Derek is the best top 5 to start with in constant repetition until you decide not to use it anymore because it is the best of the best for every journey are on, through Jesus Christ with the help of the Holy Spirit of God Almighty. Again this book is a must-have as a new creation in Christ. And you will not regret spending money on this Derek's book at -all. There was a part in this book where he said, "I cursed this liquid store," wait for it after sometimes the liquid store burned down, and every other building beside it nothing happen to it or touch it, except smoke in hale, there was no dead recorded.
See ehhh As Christian, we have the power of death and life. We have the power of blessing and cursing on our tongues 👅. Be very careful how you used your tongue for good or bad either for God or the devil 😈.

I heard a lot about Derek Prince before listening to this book and honestly, I was not disappointed. After listening to this, I have such a renewed interest in exploring everything the bible has to say about the heavenly realms and the tools the devil employs to deceive the saints. The last chapter about the church is exactly what I have been feeling in my spirit and it’s just amazing that God gave Derek the revelation of the church today! I would highly recommend to anyone looking to take their prayer life to the next level of understanding! 👍🏾👍🏾

I would say, that the thoughts and delivery are very well written in the book. Most of the beliefs and thoughts that have been backed up with the biblical passages by Derek Prince, I agree with. Some of his thoughts I don’t agree with. I would say, that the thoughts and delivery are very well written in the book. Most of the beliefs and thoughts that have been backed up with the biblical passages by Derek Prince, I agree with. Some of his thoughts I don’t agree with. But I would definitely recommend reading this book to anyone who wants to get to know the Lord; and enrich your own prayer life and relationship with Christ Jesus and the Father..
