Avis de’ Bardi has always had others to tell her what to do, how to dress, and how to act. She’s a rebellious spirit who has only grown more critical with age. On the night of her 28th birthday, she flees home in an attempt to take back control of her life and not be married off to a man twice her age. However, this momentary relief of freedom subsides when she becomes a nun and is forced into a life of piety and seclusion, assuming the new identity of Sister Mary Catherine.
Our dutiful and God-fearing nun, now semi-content with how her life has turned out, is suddenly plagued by visions of a dark, goat-like beast. A beast who only seeks affection and to douse her in sensual satisfaction.
Will the Devil succeed in winning Avis’ heart or will they only push Sister Mary Catherine further into seclusion?

Love the building of self that the FMC goes through. To be a female in that time period was horrible! To not have the freedom that we have today is unthinkable to me. There is always another side to stories, and I absolutely love your take on the Devil. Now I need a story of Dalia and Thelan!
Okay listen… I don’t dip into monster smut often, but this one was sitting on SYK and curiosity absolutely won. And honestly? I’m glad it did.
The premise hooked me immediately, dark, forbidden, a little sinful in the best way. It leans fully into that devilish tension and doesn’t waste time getting to the good stuff. The chemistry is intense, the scenes are hot, and it knows exactly what kind of story it wants to be.
It’s a short, fast-paced read that delivers on spice without dragging its feet. I loved the boldness of it, even if I’m still deciding how deep I want to fall into the monster romance rabbit hole. For a quick, steamy escape with a demonic edge, it definitely does the job.
An amazing debut release from an author to look out for. I loved the concept and has a devilishly good time following Avis on her journey. The authors ability to combine humor, a look at the confines of womanhood/religion , and some 🌶️ was amazing and u can’t wait to read more from them. (Sequel when??)
