You’ll want to read it again as soon as you’ve finished the first time.
Like the best friend everyone needs but not everyone is lucky enough to have, Sarah Turner sits on the sidelines cheering you on until you’re strong enough to become your own biggest cheerleader, as you make your way through her book Bet on Yourself.
If you’ve ever felt hopeless, helpless, inadequate, alone, or stuck in a situation you can’t figure out how to change, this book is for you.
As Sarah shares her own pain, self-doubt, and struggles she conquered to build the life she has today, she also helps you realize that nothing is set in stone and it IS possible to change the path you’re on.
From the very first page, Bet on Yourself whittles away at the “why-me” mindset until you’ve reached the last page and find it’s turned into “Why NOT me? Sarah did it, and so can I!”
There are so many glorious quotes, exercises, and stories in this book that will help you reach your goals without all the BS you might be used to reading in a self-help book, but I’ll let you discover those treasures for yourself.
But I’ll leave you with this: If you’re still on the fence — just buy it. Sarah Turner is a good human helping other good humans like us find our place in the world and thrive.

Exactly the kind of business book I didn’t know I needed...
I’ve read a lot of business books. Most of them left me feeling either overwhelmed or underwhelmed. Like I was either already too late or not cut out for this in the first place.
Bet on Yourself is the first one that made me feel calm. Clear. Capable.
It doesn’t shout at you to hustle harder or follow a one-size-fits-all path. Instead, Sarah Turner walks you through the deeper layers (fear, doubt, burnout, self-trust) and shows you that building a business isn’t about having it all figured out. It’s about taking small, honest steps in the direction of what matters to you.
She doesn’t overpromise. She doesn’t pretend it’s easy. But she does remind you that it’s possible.
Her background in both clinical psychology and copywriting really shines through. This book isn’t just inspiring, it’s useful. The idea of “microbets” was especially helpful for me: that you don’t need to leap before you’re ready… you just need to start where you are.
I’ve been circling my next move for a while now, and this book helped me stop circling and start building. It made something click. Not just in my business, but in how I see myself.
If you’ve outgrown hustle culture but still want to create something meaningful, this is the book I’d put in your hands.

Grab your highlighter & get ready to be motivated!
Sarah brings her real experiences to life as she motivates you take small steps and dream big. From the first chapter I was highlighting and maybe even shedding a tear from how close to home her writing was to my own journey.
As a small business owner of a marketing agency, not calling myself a freelancer after this book 🙃 Bet on Yourself, gave words to so many different emotions and self sabotage I’ve been working through, generalizing as laziness and anxiety. When really it is fear of being too big, not being worthy, staying in my cage.
10/10 recommend for anyone looking to or already taking a chance on themselves in the entrepreneurial space

Reading this book has left me closer to making my dream work life a reality. I especially liked the questions that were asked throughout the book along with the invitation to pause and answer them. I have a notebook full of journaling, self-discovery and actionable steps.
I do have to mention that I lean on the Holy Spirit's guidance, rather than looking to the Universe for answers, but this book is still applicable and resourceful for anyone looking to move the needle on their entrepreneurial ideas/goals.
I've read other mindset and entrepreneurial books and this one has helped me more than the others.
I am so happy to have met Future Tami in this book and given her all my worries.

What a fantastic easy to read book. Real easy to read language, down-to-earth vocabulary, totally accessible. Sarah Turner tries to reach every reader with her word choice. I was even laughing at a few of the choices!
This book is a must read for any new entrepreneur. Or anyone thinking about becoming an entrepreneur or anyone who feels stuck in their current work life. Sarah is a valuable mentor and she uses her empathetic and vast experience to guide you through believing in yourself. This book shows you it's about mindset, it's about believing in yourself.
And doing the little things every day that makes a long-term difference. Highly recommend read Bet on Yourself by Sarah Turner
