I love the cover of this Love Inspired Romance book. The story didn’t disappoint this reader. This is Brooke’s and Dean’s story and the cute toddler twins are also a big part of this book. Both Brooke and Dean have hangups from their past. Determined not to get involved in romance they are still drawn to one another. Both need to trust God and put their past in the past where it belongs. A little bit of Christmas is also a part of this story.
I thought this book was unpredictable, emotional, romantic and I enjoyed reading it. I loved the characters who added so much to the book and made it seem very realistic. I loved the ending too.
I recommend this book to readers of Love Inspired Romance and to fans of Jill Kemerer. It can be read as a standalone.

This story was so good! The two main characters both had fears from past events that were holding them captive. Even though they went about their lives as best they could, their fears kept a grip on them, making them resist planning any kind of future that included marriage or a family.

One of the things I really liked about this story was the way Dean and Brooke communicated. At first, they were simply acquaintances, yet as they began to be around each other more, they developed a friendship that quickly began to turn in the direction of being more. However, by talking with each other, Dean and Brooke knew what they each expected out of life and the why behind it, too.

It was sweet watching them grow close to each other, gently falling for each other even with fears and possible limitations ahead of them. Dean was wonderful with Brooke’s twins, so that was a sweet connection, too. All the way to the end of the story, the fact that these two were willing to talk to each other and share their feelings was heartwarming and set them up for a healthy partnership going forward.

God, You've forgiven me. It doesn't change my stupid choices or the mistakes I've made, but I don't have to keep punishing myself anymore. I'm ready to move on. Please help me. ~Dean page 168

I really love reading Jill Kemerer's stories because they always have a lot of heart in them! I enjoy her characters, because they deal with real-life issues that keep them back from moving past hurts, mistakes or missteps of their pasts. It encourages me & reminds me of times when God has helped me in these areas as well.

Both Dean and Brooke have to overcome some pretty scary fears that hold them back from a brighter future God has in store for them. Their path isn't easy towards healing, but together they can face them and help each other. I really liked how they began to open up to each other about thier fears and insecurities. I think that helped strengthen the bond of friendship that lead to a happily-ever-after. And those girls of Brooks—Alice & Megan—just added an extra sweet layer to make this story even better! Their bubbly personalities and little girl giggles made me smile every time. There wasn't anything I didn't like about this book, it has it all for me....love, laughter, family ties, faith and plenty of heart-to-heart talks that made Dean & Brook more real to me.

Lastly, I did read the previous book in this series United by the Twins so it was great to revisit Marc and Reagan and catch up with their lives! You can totally read this as a stand alone, of course, I just love to read each book in a series because I like to see what the characters are up to.

If you're looking for a heartwarming story full of faith, cute twin girls, strong family bonds and ending in a sweet happily-ever-after, then look no further!

Jill Kemerer’s sweet Christmas story, The Cowboy’s Christmas Treasures is a delightful read. I loved the return to Jewel River, Wyoming and getting better acquainted with Brooke and her cute twin toddlers. Dean McCaffrey is the perfect man for a second chance for Brooke and the girls.
Kemerer writes the best romantic stories set around the ranching community. This one certainly met my expectations. It is filled with not only romance, but community, fun, and a bit of tension. Both Dean and Brooke have great issues to overcome to give themselves a chance at loving and making a life with someone. I loved how each of them helped the other to face their fears while falling in love. Their happily ever after is greatly deserved.
Jill Kemerer is one of my go-to Love Inspired authors. Every book is a treasure.

Love love and love this story!! We all have struggles with fear that try to bring us down, keeping us from living the life that God has planned for each of us. He knows our fears and wants us to bring them to Him, He'll never leave us alone to fend for ourselves. He promises to always be with us, no matter what.

So not my typical read. Wanting to get into the Christmas spirit this small but mighty book tells the story of 2 broken young people Brooke and Dean who are brought together by another unfortunate situation, Dean's dads heart attack. While it tells a story of healing it also tells a story of small town communities as families of there own. It is certainly predictable but so sweet and joyous I couldn't put it down.

"She nodded, a compassionate smile on her lips. 'Life changes in an instant. There's before. There's after. And no matter how hard you try or how much you want to, you can't get back to before. You're stuck with after."

This quote sums up the common struggle both main characters face in Jill Kemerer's The Cowboy's Christmas Treasures. A young widowed mother of twins, Brooke Dewitt, holds a tight grip on her worst-scenario narrative in case she has another stroke which may put her in a wheelchair. And how would she take care of her toddlers then? Dean McCaffrey lives in a dark shadow of a car accident he caused a decade earlier. Dean returns to Jewel River, Wyoming, to take over ongoing construction projects while his father is recovering from a sudden health scare. One of those projects brings Brooke, the twins, and Dean into a closer relationship.

And it is in this relationship that both main characters start to become "unstuck" from their "befores," This long and sometimes painful healing process requires a lot of God, faith, truth, and love.

The more I think about the story, the more I like it. One of the things that appeals to me is how the characters and their (many) issues are presented in a way that eases the reader into understating the characters' world. For instance, my compassion for people with PTSD grew as I was reading what Dean had to face when the symptoms started.

Also, I kept thinking how well John 8:32 is lived out by both Brooke and Dean. Learning the truth about their situations frees them from their fears and gives them understanding and hope for the future.

Of course, there are also the adorable twins, Alice and Megan, who remind every mother how challenging parenting can be. It was also wonderful to meet again the residents of Jewel River from previous Wyoming Legacy books, including the ornery Clem Buckley.

The Cowboy's Christmas Treasures is one to of those stories that are good to read at any time of the year. Although set in Christmas time, the themes of community, family, faith, compassion, love, and overcoming difficulties are true in any season.

I loved the book and would recommend it heartily.

Story of Love and Overcoming

How do you narrow down your thoughts when you want to say so many good things? That's how I feel about The Cowboy's Christmas Treasures. It is just that good.

Brooke and Dean have spent time in each other's presence for years, but they've never really known each other. That all changes when an unexpected situation brings Dean back home, and he and Brooke find themselves spending much time together. What results is a friendship that, little by little, turns into more. However, the growing relationship is marred by fear, which affects their ability to trust and fully commit.

I was drawn to the characters as I deeply felt and understood their fears. I loved how author Jill Kemerer realistically portrayed them and what they were dealing with. It added a much deeper dimension to the characters and their story. Seeing how their faith and God's nudgings impacted their fears and brought on trust and love profoundly touched my heart, as did those two sweet little girls. This is a story that will stay with me for quite some time. It was just that good.

It was so enjoyable to return to Jill Kemerer’s small-town Wyoming setting for another charming and delightful story, The Cowboy’s Christmas Treasures. Kemerer is a master at creating realistically-flawed, relatable, and endearing characters. This book stars Dean McCaffrey who returns to help with the family construction business after his dad had a heart-attack. Brooke Dewitt is a widow with twin toddlers, and she needs her house wheelchair accessible in case she has future health problems. I enjoyed the interaction between Dean and Brooke, along with the adorable twin girls, when Dean steps in to complete the remodeling of her home.

“Our fears don’t necessarily reflect reality.”

It was uplifting to see Dean and Brooke help each other face their fears. I loved the small-town spirit of compassion and people stepping in to help each other. This is a faith-filled, inspiring tale that will put a smile on your face. Themes of faith, family, and hope make it a wonderful Christmas story that can be read any time of the year.

I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy. All opinions are my own.

Dean McCaffrey returns home to take the reigns of his father's contracting business, but he holds onto a paralyzing secret.

Dean picks up where his dad left off with remodeling Brooke's home, her two-year-old twin girls take a shine to him. Brooke is a widowed single mom, worried that her health will keep her from caring for her daughters. Dean admires Brooke for her devotion to her daughters, and he offers to help her when he can, and they connect over their shared faith and giving God the things they can't control.

Megan and Alice are so adorable, and they love being around Dean. A heartwarming second chance romance, with strong faith, themes of new starts and trusting God. I liked how he reconnected with his father, and his small town roots. Dean and Brooke make a good team, and I liked seeing them work together. Highly recommend this Christmas western romance!

Who doesn’t enjoy a Christmas story that involves the most adorable twins! I will say, though, this book needed more Christmasy “stuff” in it.

Great characters bring this story to life and yet both Dean and Brooke have wounds and fears that need to be healed. Can they trust each other enough for this to happen? Kemerer took bad experiences in both MC’s lives, hard things, and treated them gently but honestly. God never leaves us on our own but is always near.

The Cowboy’s Christmas Treasures can be read as a stand alone, but do read the other books in this series. Not only are they really good, but familiar characters show up throughout

Heartwarming, love of family, and all the feelings, I highly recommend this book!.

Experiences in life can cause different emotions. From fear, to anxiety, to trust issues, and more, learning to deal with and hopefully overcome these things can take time and patience. The characters in this precious story are handling life in their own way. Along the way, they have the chance to recover and learn to move forward. Love, faith, and trust in God are found in this great read. I enjoyed this story. Author Jill Kemerer writes about characters that are easily relatable. I received a complimentary copy of the book. This is a touching story of overcoming obstacles and taking a chance when the future may prove uncertain. Ms. Kemerer is an excellent writer and the "Cowboys Christmas Treasures" is a wonderful addition to her story writing success. Her characters are real and imperfect. They learn to give what time they have to God and find the love they can enjoy during the life they've been given. It is a sweet tale with lovely children helping to open the hearts of the two main characters. If you love a sweet and inspirational romance, you will enjoy this one.
