Country living is the last thing caregiver Evie Bell wants—but she goes where the work takes her. And this time, that’s a Texas ranch full of terrifying bulls and a handsome cowboy and single dad. Thankfully, the position is temporary. But spending time with Monte Bowman and his twin daughters while caring for his great-aunt will only make it harder to leave. Evie’s here to help this family—not join it. And there’s no place for her at Monte’s side…especially once he learns the secret she’s been hiding.

Okay, first I'll say it was a good story and I enjoyed the characters. I do recommend it if you're looking for a good Texas ranch read.
However, I knocked a star off because, although it's called a Christmas book, there's almost no Christmas anything in it. When a book has Christmas in the title I'm looking for all of it, or at least most of it. Snow is nice but I know can't always happen depending on location. A tree? Stockings? Carols etc? Sadly this story was missing it.
But again, it was a good read and I loved the twins. So different and so cute. Monte was trying so hard to do it all as a single dad. Again, really good characters. Do give it a read!
Evie Bell ends up assigned as a caregiver on a Texas Ranch. She is not sure she will enjoy country living but for the sake of her future she intends to do her best.
I enjoyed getting to know Evie, the heroine, and Monte, the hero as well as his family members. The story was wonderful and really drew me in and made me grow to care for the characters. It kept my attention to the very end.
This is the 1st book I read by Jennifer Slattery. I liked this book's storyline. Some parts of this story was sad 😔. Some parts of this story was made me laugh 😂. I liked Evie's character. I liked Monte's character. I loved ❤️ the twins, they were adorable. I liked the ending.
This was a short rom com read with Christian values but not my favorite story line. It felt rushed and a little forced. I liked the idea of the plot, but the writing left plenty to be desired.
