Does a good job bringing up the major characters and events, as well as interesting anecdotes. I was hoping for a more structured and comprehensive treatment of various themes and characters.
The writing is simple and easy to peruse, however I didn’t like the structure of the book which is essentially just a sequence of 100s of multi paragraph anecdotes with limited degrees of coherence amongst them. It feels like the author wrote a bunch of anecdotes independent of each other and places them in as best an order as he could.
