Just One Night #1

Just One Night, Part 1

Rate this book
NEW YORK TIMES and USA TODAY BESTSELLING AUTHOR, ELLE CASEY, brings readers PART 1 in the 6-part contemporary romance serial novel, JUST ONE NIGHT.

Jennifer is sexually frustrated and disillusioned with love, a very dangerous combination. Convinced there's no such thing as Prince Charming, and against her best friend's better judgment, she places a personal ad seeking a one-night stand. No strings, no commitments, no second dates. Her goal? To restore her faith in men by setting up a single night of fantasy that can never be tainted by reality. William is a busy executive, newly arrived in the United States from England. Life for him is all about minimizing complications. He doesn't have the time nor the inclination to share his life with anyone, to have obligations outside of work, or to become entangled in a relationship with an emotional basket case of a woman who’s desperately seeking her Prince Charming. But he does see the value in having an attractive woman on his arm for networking purposes ...

This ebook is Part 1 of the contemporary romance serial novel, JUST ONE NIGHT, approximately 25,000 words or 100 paper pages long. The story continues with Parts 2-6.

Content warning: Due to sexy situations and content, this book is definitely not appropriate for younger readers.

A note from Elle about this series: Hello readers! I had such a great time writing this serial. Like you, I had no idea what was going to happen from one part to the next. I didn't even know how many parts there would be. It was great having all the feedback from my readers as each part was released; it definitely influenced the end result. Edward's story, JUST ONE WEEK, is coming soon in 2016. Add it to your Goodreads shelf today!

★★★★★! Just One Night, part 1 of 6. Two professionals acting on a whim end up connecting through a personal ad for a one-night-stand!

“My nostrils extend slowly out to either side as my color rises. This is how a British gentleman expresses his extreme distaste.”

Novellas should be read in order:
Part 1: Just One Night I
Part 2: Just One Night II
Part 3: Just One Night III
Part 4: Just One Night IV
Part 5: Just One Night V
Part 6: Just One Night VI

In Just One Night, part 1 we meet real estate executive Jennifer while at home pondering if she should place a personal ad for a one-night stand. Finding her ex-fiancé in bed with another woman has put her life in a tailspin and left her sexually frustrated and in need of getting laid.

“Single, attractive and successful businesswoman seeks a very short-term, intimate and discreet affair. No strings, no commitments, no second dates.”

CEO of real estate investment firm, Stratford Investments, William Stratford recently arrived from the UK likes uncomplicated arrangements. But he would never have thought to answer a personal ad if it hadn’t been for his meddling and rather proactive personal assistant.

In need of a date for an upcoming Charity event William acts on an impulse and responds to Jennifer’s ad hoping to be able maneuver their one night of passion to include a stop at his event. Follow them during their evening as they meet, flirt, socialize, and deal with competition all while fighting their burning attraction to get to the main course….. uhm climax!

WILLIAM STRATFORD:
~40 years/Heir/CEO Stratford Investments/$$$$.

Nine words to describe William: Charming, noble, lovable, moody, smart, considerate, witty, skeptical and lonely.

JENNIFER:
35 years/Real estate exec/Brown hair/Blue eyes.

Eight words to describe Jennifer: Insecure, determined, loyal, kind, lonely, proactive, easy-going and conflicted.

Just One Night, part 1 is filled with engaging and hilarious dialogue and off-the-charts sexual tension. Needless to say it ends with a cliffhanger. But no worries as series is complete. Up next is part 2, Just One Night II with the continuation of William and Jennifer’s story!

Spectacular sex scene! Adorable and sexxxy hero! Entertaining plot! Excellent story-telling!

“I’m so ready to get freaky right now. It’s not my fault, though. It’s the accent. I can’t be held responsible.”

Just One Night Part 1 is the first book in the serial novella Just One Night by Elle Casey. I haven’t read but a couple of these serial novellas in the past but it amazes me how much Elle Casey has managed to fit into this short little book. We are introduced to both William and Jennifer and in the span of these pages, I am in love with them both.

William is a Brit who is now living and working in the U.S. He has taken over his father’s Real Estate Investment firm and his work is what he lives for. He has been grooming himself for this moment his entire life. Contrary to his younger playboy brother, William lives, sleeps and eats his job. This leaves little time for a romantic life. He has no time or interest in that. But with an important charity ball a week away, he answers a classified ad for one night, just one night of fantasy, then they will never contact one another again. But what if she looks like Medusa? Still, he is intrigued.

prince charming:

Jennifer has just gotten out of an eight year relationship and she ended up deeply hurt. She wants to feel desirable again, to feel like a woman again, so against her better judgement, she places an ad for just one night. As soon as William called her she was melted by his accent. So she decided to meet him. Little did she expect for William to sweep her up in a night that made her feel like a real life Cinderella and William was her prince charming. Or is it Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman? This night is turning out to be so much more than anything she could have ever expected.

Imgs For > Romantic Slow Dance

I'm already regretting it's end and we haven't even really started yet."

julia roberts pretty woman gown - Google Search:

It is evident that both of these people feel something more than they can accept in just one night. But still, that is the agreement. No strings, no second dates. So can they both really just walk away? I loved this. I couldn’t help but to love both William and Jennifer. William with all his crispiness and cool exterior actually had a fantastic dry humor and my, oh my, when the cuff links come off, he turns into a beast. I can’t wait to see what comes next in this series.

5 'Smoking HOT & Funny' stars!
BEST 99 CENTS I'VE SPENT IN A LONG TIME!

The story was short (80 pages?), but so tightly packed with a lot of great, yummy and sexy romance. I loved it, can't wait to see where this serial goes.

JUST ONE NIGHT is part 1 of a new erotic m/f adult romance serial by new-to-me author Elle Casey. This is not an NA/YA romance (a genre this author is known for), as the H/h are in their mid/late 30's. It is super HOT and charged with a lot of sexual tension and burning chemistry!

In this episode, William and Jennifer meet and proceed to burn up the sheets under the agreement of a one-night only affair. It had a Cinderella twist as these two attend a high-dollar charity ball, which I loved. What they didn't expect was connecting so well on an emotional level, and setting their hearts on fire wanting MORE.

In case you are wondering, it does NOT have BDSM, menage, anal or other more extreme erotic kinkiness (at least, not in this book!) It was just good old-fashion dirty smut. ;-)

William is my kind of hero! He is a super HOT, sexy, funny British guy who I adored! His wit was pure British, and his prowess is my kind of hot and sexy!! Best yet, he doesn't suffer from 'Asshole syndrome', which is becoming far too common in today's romance books. He is simply a great guy who goes after what he wants, he doesn't have a load of personal baggage, and he really, REALLY knows how to treat a lady right.

Jennifer was just as wonderful. She is a smart and down-to-earth heroine who is finding a new sexuality about her self. She is no doormat heroine either! Yeah!! (Another trope which is becoming far too common!)

These two meet under the oddest of circumstances. While personal ads in romance books have been done to death, I really enjoyed the spin we get on this one. William answers her ad, which Jennifer was very reluctant to post, only because his secretary prodded him to do so. Their first conversation was a crack up, and really set the tone and chemistry for these two.

This is a serial, so don't expect the HEA just yet. But I have no doubt that these two will get an awesome HEA when the time comes. It ends in a really good place, and will leave you both satisfied and wanting more.

The writing: One thing I really enjoyed most about this book was the authors writing voice, especially since she does a lot of 'show me' and allows her characters to tell the story. (LOVE THAT!) The dialogue between William and Jennifer felt real, and I never questioned the genuineness of their attraction. It was told in 3rd person, and we get alternating POVs from both William and Jennifer.

***Before you discount this serial, know this: I too am not fan of serial episode books because you have to buy each book by the episode. But I am so glad I did with this one, and I should warn you that you might miss out if you skip over this serial. If there ever was an exception this might just be that series. Was the 80 pages for this 'chapter' worth the .99 cents I spent? Yes, absolutely.***

According to the author's blog, new books will come out every two to three weeks.

A big thanks to my friend J for the recommendation! I wouldn't have found this series otherwise.

FOUR HOT NOOKIE STARS.

"Life is too short to wait around for a Prince Charming who doesn't even exsist."

description

Elle Casey has delivered a delightful start to her bi-weekly serial romance and I can't wait to see what happens next. I'm part-way in love with the characters of this flirty romance already after only spending just 82 pages with them. Everything is included in this short novel to make me already addicted to the series. William and Jennifer are hilarious together, their witty banter and sexual chemistry led to a steamy loved up connection that I just know is going to get better and better. The storyline is entertaining and has the potential to be über romantic. The plot follows the story of Jennifer and her quest to experience a one night stand after just coming out of a long term relationship that went horribly wrong. The hero, william is fabulously British, so much so that I was equally impressed and amused at how many 'British-isms' this author manged to fit into 82 short pages. The story follows the journey of William and Jennifer meeting and the undeniable attraction that ensues ... I'm already a fan of this unraveling story and I can anticipate that Elle Casey will be keeping me on my toes waiting for the release of the next part to this couples story. Bravo, Elle Casey if it's my attention you wanted, you've got it.

4.5--Color Me Intrigued--Stars!!

You got me.....hook line and sinker!

So....this is another one of those serial reads. Where you get parts of the story every few weeks. I have no idea how many parts this one will be....but I am intrigued.

Jennifer has caught her fiance cheating. She has a plan. It's time to take the bull by the horns and make some big changes. Jennifer is sexually frustrated. And what better way to eliminate that frustration then place an add for a one-night stand.

"Single attractive and successful businesswoman seeks very short-term, intimate, and discrete affair. No strings, no commitments, no second dates."

William, reluctantly and thanks to his assistant, responds to the ad. After all he needs a date for a charity function. The perfect pre-date to their one night stand.

"One date, one encounter, one night only. There will be no strings and no second meetings."

The banter between William and Jennifer was great. They both get a lot more than they bargained for with each other. But Jennifer sticks to her rules. She and William spend the evening together, share a hot romp in the sack and Jennifer bids farewell as agreed.

The End of Part One. At this point I have no idea where the story will go. It's obvious that there is an attraction between William and Jennifer. They both work in real estate so I don't know if and how their paths will cross again, but this is just the beginning for William and Jennifer.

I can't wait to see where the story goes.....let's just hope it's not downhill.

So far....it's funny, fun, and sexy!

I tried to calm down before I started to write this review, but fuck it!

I was enjoying this up to the point were William turned into some fuckwit that's supposed to be from England. Let me just tell you as someone born and raised in England - WE DO NOT SPEAK LIKE THAT - it's not even funny, it's just fucking stupid and beyond stereotypical. Why do people think we speak that way.

Any English man that calls his cock a 'Jolly Roger' should get punched in the face immediately. All the 'slang' is absolute shit. I'm not sure what in the ever loving fuck was going on here. How can anyone find this William attractive?! He comes across as a total TWAT!

Did I enjoy it and will I read the next one? Hmm let me see ...

4 "Sassy-Awesome" Stars

Elle Casey delivered a funny, sexy, light read with wonderful characters. The story is told in alternating povs and I just LOVED William and Jennifer. This is the first installment of a serial romance, with each part to be published approximately two weeks apart.

This short story starts with an advertisement for ‘one night’ that garnishes the attention of William Stratford’s secretary who thought it was date for William to bring to the upcoming ball.

”I believe this arrangement could suit me nicely. So what do you say? Fancy a roll in the hay with a somewhat newly arrived Brit?”

The story has a bit of a Cinderella feel, while their chemistry was off the charts.

”He smacks my ass and growls as he rubs the stinging spot he left behind. “Be a good girl, yeah?” His accent has gotten very strong, and it drives me wild.”

The banter was witty and fun and I was smiling throughout the story…

"Now I'm wondering what I'm going to have to do to work off a two thousand dollar dress. He'll definitely expect anal. I hope he's not planning on making a snuff film."

description

I would definitely recommend readers picking this one up. I have my fingers crossed that the future of this series will just as well done!

Oh. My. God. I got charmed, swooned and wooed by this very much British hero named William (yes, even his name is *sigh*, although I would personally prefer Harry;)).

I can't really tell much about heroine yet, because I focused on William and his accent and the way he speaks and his sense of humor. Jennifer seems likeable though. She is single, attractive businesswoman who recently dumped her cheating boyfriend. Sexually frustrated and fed up with relationships, she seeks for a one night stand, no commitments, no attachments involved. So she puts an add online and waits. William, successful but a little grumpy mogul, needs a date for charity ball and since his social life is non-existent his assistant finds him one. When they meet, they are attracted to each other but still determined to have just this one night. Their banter is sweet and funny and their date and bedroom time is hot! But will "just one night" be enough for them? Let's see, shall we?

I am slowly becoming a fan of these serial romances. Waiting for another parts is always torture though. I have a feeling this one will be bloody fantastic. I am intrigued and waiting for the next installment. So please, hurry Mrs. Casey.

4.5 'DAMN THOSE BRITS ARE HOT!!' STARS!

Um...THAT WAS SCORCHING!!!!!!

I spent a total of $1.14 for this! What??! I can't even get a decent cup of coffee for that price dammit! But what I got, WHAT I FREAKIN' GOT was a sexy, addictive, hilarious and hard-to-put-down read! The British humour was delightful, mind you I couldn't understand a couple things but got the gist of it ;/).
Usually serials can get frustrating but this is the second one I've read recently that completely made a believer out of me.

William you sexy beast of a man! Under a harsh and conservative veneer lies a vicious, voracious and seductive male! I'm a sucker for that British accent, it's like a natural aphrodisiac! I swear the bedroom scene at the end was like watching William as a predator unleash his powerful roar! The man was on fire and burned everything in his wake, seriously, that is how you write a steamy scene! HOT DAMN!

Loved the whole secrecy meets Cinderella meets sexual awakening....everything was spot-on. I really liked how Jennifer and William were in their mid to late thirties, liked how Jennifer was so normal, liked how this was pure, unadulterated hotness...not every relationship needs a whip and chain. I LOVED It all! I'm diving right into the next one now!!

****3 " COCK TEASE" STARS***

First things first.... Ella Casey,

That tip tease scene was GENIUS! ...I read it 3 times last night and again this morning. Yup, I admit it :-)

I have an affinity for British blokes and this charismatic gent nailed me it! .. Surely doesn't hurt that I was imagining James Scott as William .

**head down in shame** yes, I'm guilty of FF through DOOL just to catch a glimpse of EJ ..I unfortunately own it :-/

And now I'm going to fast fwd through my review :
Williams secretary takes it upon herself to find him a date for the gala he's set to attend....William gets pissed ....blah, blah,blah.....she scurries out of the office building...he decides to snoop through her desk to confirm that she's indeed caught up on work........he stumbles upon the printed profiles of potential suiters....... He thinks her first choice is rubbish and doesn't bother looking at the rest.....he bundles one into a ball, throwing it into a garbage bin...Unfortunately William has horrible aim and must pick up the paper.. which he then tosses on his desk..... of course he opens the wadded up item...he decides to live a little..by giving the lady a call......yaddda -yadda -yadda .....they agree to potential one night..no strings attached..smash and dash.

Now, on to our ad temptress . Her name is Jennifer and is newly single thanks to her cheating ex. She fears her vagina is growing cobwebs, so she places a "Hello, My vagina would like to get to know your cock and then never see it again" ad. (Obviously William cock approved of this message) ....they decide to meet at a coffee shop and will take it from there...if their attracted to each other... Or so she thinks!

William has other plans.. He taking her to the gala..... she's clearly not wearing the proper attire.....which means , she needs a dress..insert a bunch of Cinderella fairy dust moments here (not my jam) ..off to the event they go.... add a phone booth , some dancing and a big A-CHOO! ..and BOOM-BOOM Room at the penthouse here we come... tip time starts on pg 90 ...**add cliffy here **...

4- Hot, Fancy Brit - Stars!

Jennifer has just gotten out of a long term relationship with her cheating ex and feels the need to get laid.

horny photo 7972173_zps44a979e5.gif

She decides to step outside of the box and place a personal ad for a one night stand.

"Single attractive and successful businesswoman seeks very short-term, intimate, and discrete affair. No strings, no commitments, no second dates."

William is a workaholic for his dad's company. His assistant tries to get him set up with a date for the charity ball and it doesn't go over quite so well with him.

He eventually looks at the personal ad his secretary had chosen and is intrigued. Jennifer's ad is straight and to the point and lets you know that she wants a no strings attached night of sex. William says

He calls her up and after some flirting between the two and decide to meet up for their one night stand.

"Brilliant. I believe this arrangement could suit me nicely. So what do you say? Fancy a roll in the hay with a somewhat newly arrived Brit?"

William picks up Jennifer and almost as soon as they are in the car they are getting turned on by each other. Their chemistry is

But first things first, they need to go to the charity ball before screwing each other's brains out. He takes her to get a dress.

"Now I'm wondering what I'm going to have to do to work off a two thousand dollar dress. He'll definitely expect anal."

After the charity ball they head to their penthouse suite in the hotel. They wind up having some hot passionate sex that makes Jennifer a little emotional.

Then Jennifer stops and smells the roses and realizes no, they signed up for one night so that's all it will be. She somewhat freaks out and leaves, before their night of fun is over.

Honestly this book cracked me up in quite a few parts. The banter is hilarious and I can't wait to see what happens with these two!

5 Stars!!!!

'Single, attractive and successful businesswoman seeks very short- term, intimate and discreet affair. No strings, no commitments, no second dates.'

This is the add that 35 year old Jennifer, places on an online dating website, after having dumped her cheating fiance.
Jennifer never does one night stands and always ends up falling in love with the men she sleeps with, but she's looking to try something new.
An uncomplicated and incredibly HOT, one night stand!

 photo imagejpg1_zpscd206b57.jpg

Lucky girl, gets William Stratford to answer her add.
He's a Gorgeous BRIT, who is currently in the U.S., and is CEO of his father's Real Estate Investment firm.
His new and ambitious secretary has lined up some online dating adds for him since he has a Breast Cancer Ball to attend and will be needing a date.
At first he's appalled at his secretary's presumptions but then he sees Jennifer's add and is more than intrigued.

 photo imagejpg2_zps9c1b5922.jpg

My blood pressure goes up just the tiniest bit at the accent. He said advertizment. He's British or Irish or something. Visions of Colin Firth, Hugh Grant, and Mr Darcy buzz through my brain.
This guy is already looking way better than the other candidates.

"Brilliant. I believe this arrangement could suit me nicely. So what do you say? Fancy a roll in the hay with a somewhat newly arrived Brit?"

This book was amazingly funny and SCORCHING HOT!!!
Oh my GOD!!
When William and Jennifer finally get down to business, I just about overheated myself.

 photo tumblr_mprfh0ptXS1s94tj5o7_250_zps2cfc3665.gif

I loved all the British Lingo.
I learned a few new ones!!

I feel like the world's biggest cad, no better than a bloody plonker.

"Now I have to wonder if John Thomas is going to cooperate with the whole scheme."
"Who's John Thomas? This is only a one-on-one thing, you know. I don't do threesomes."

I was totally clueless as Jennifer was to that statement, but we find out towards the end of this episode what William means by "John Thomas"! LOL

It seems as though these two are really very much attracted to each other and maybe there will be more to their relationship than just the one night of amazing sex!!
I am hoping there is!!!!

I totally and completely recommend this book, if you're looking for something light, funny, and panty soaking HOT!!!

Gonna keep this one short and a little vague...
Just One Night starts off with Jennifer..a 35 yr old..who just ended a long relationship with her boyfriend after she discovers he's cheating on her...so instead of walling in self pity...she decides to put an add in the newspaper...

“Single, attractive and successful businesswoman seeks very short-term, intimate and discrete affair. No strings, no commitments, no second dates.”

 photo tumblr_inline_mtc208aq0a1qzw3a7_zpsnp3aerov.gif

Yeap that's what I thought too..but low and behold she gets an answer to the ad in the form of a very sexy accent on the receiving end of her phone...and enters..what I call the meat and potatoes of this entire story...yes ladies one word...

You know the old saying..how does it go....*A woman in the streets and a freak in the sheets...well just change the word woman to Adonis..and slap that shit on Williams back..because that what he is!!!

*Adonis-in Greek mythology, is the god of beauty and desire* . God knows I was desiring his ass.

He's a gentleman..the hold the door for you and all that jazz type of guy..but when that door closes...haha..it's..

You get where Im going with this....if not just pick this one up..and get to know William for yourself...and once your done come back and look at this spoiler...

We should have a separate category for serializations. If I like one of the short books that will be in a series of books, I give it 5 stars. I probably would never do that for a regular length novel unless I really, really liked it.

This Part 1 of Just One Night deals with an ad placed by a mid-thirties career girl who is frustrated and lonely after finding out her long-time boyfriend had been cheating on her for years and she dumped him. She wants a one-night stand and crazy wild sex with no strings attached and no contact whatsoever after.

Her ad draws the attention of just a delightful English fellow recruited to run his father's business in New York who is trying to find himself after moving to a new city and country.

This first book covers a little background on each of them, the date they set up and the crazy wild sex they do have and maybe just a touch of the feelings they develop for each other. But, they are both backed into a corner with their "one night only" commitment and they part. She knows his full name, he only knows her first name. I know I hope what happens next. We'll see.

Another bi weekly, drip fed series for me to get fixated on.

This is the story of Jennifer, whose frustration emanates from being betrayed by her long term, cheating, rat bastard ex.

She decides to put an ad in the paper requesting one night with a stranger, but has a number of psychometric tests to ensure she picks just the right one.

William is a British, far too serious workaholic, who comes by Jennifer's ad almost by accident. Having never done anything quite like this before, he picks up the phone and makes contact.

I enjoyed the many britishisms, including words I had not heard in a long time! Elle Casey had captured a fine dalliance between these two characters, building up to a great chemistry.

I'm looking forward to reading more of their story, that I hope goes beyond Just One Night

4 Sweet, Funny, Smutty stars

My favorite kind of book! I loved Elle Casey's Shine not Burn, and I have a feeling that anyone who enjoyed that book would like this too. It's an ongoing series where a new one will be released every few weeks. I've never read one of these before, but this was worth 99 cents in my opinion. I don't mind a series when the books are released close together. Considering this was short, she did a great job with characterization. I loved that William is British and Jennifer is American, it made for some fun banter and dialogue. I thought there was great chemistry and I liked both main characters. Elle Casey can really write some impressive smut without it becoming cheesy or over the top. Very Fun!

This was sooo good, can't wait to get to know more about William and Jennifer. They have crazy chemistry and I love their banter. I'm not even annoyed it's a series.

"My apologies," he says, pausing a moment and clenching his jaw a couple times. “I’m having a very difficult time controlling my desire for you."

She's got him all wound up and she doesn't even know it. He's so hot for her and her jiggly bosom. Love it!

Jennifer is single and desperate for some sexual release. After being burned by her ex-fiance she has reached the end of her rope. Placing an ad for a one-night encounter to finally satisfy her needs.

"Single, attractive and successful businesswoman seeks very short-term, intimate and discrete affair. No strings, no commitments, no second dates."

When William's assistant explains she's taken the liberty to print out some date options from the pool of women online at first the idea seems absurd. Then he sees her ad and suddenly she seems like the perfect person to match his needs. Romance and relationships can't get in the way of his climb to the top.

But once William sees the Jennifer, one night might not be enough.

This was a short and steamy little read. Holy-hell did it get hot in here. We had such light banter back and forth with two characters that just had the perfect chemistry and then out of nowhere his John Thomas makes an appearance and all bets are off. Throw in the guy is British and I was sold. But it's not your alpha-male Brit that says Arse and Brilliant, we are talking all prim & proper. The fact that he was so gentlemen allowed for the perfect explosion when his libido took over and manners when out of the window.

This was a great start to a fantastic new serial romance series. I've read Elle Casey before, but this was quite a bit dirtier than my prior experience. To say this simply won me over is not enough. I devoured this and immediately jumped into the second & third parts dying to get more.

If your idea of a hot male hero is a foppish, bumbling cad such as Bertie Wooster then you'll love this. Sadly the English aristocrat William in this story did nothing for me.

His speech and inner monologue jarred with me from the beginning - calling a woman in the office 'totty', coming out with archaic phrases such as 'stone the crows', (a phrase last uttered in a Miss Marple screenplay, I'm a 40-year-old Brit and I've never heard that phrase uttered in real life), threatening to give her a 'jolly rogering' and the final straw, personifying his dick and referring to it/er, him(?) as 'John Thomas'...

If I could have ignored all of that then this was an interesting start to this serialization and I liked the two of them together but now I've got Bertie Wooster in my head, there's no way the sex scenes in this story could ever work for me.

Who doesn't want to be a hot Brit's Cinderella for the night!

I can't wait 2-3 weeks for the next one! NO! I need this NOW!!!

I'm so angry with myself for reading this so soon. I should have waited!

What did I get myself into? Waiting is going to be pure torture!

2.5 to 3 stars! Not sure I like Jennifer and her passive agressive, fall in love with one touch and run away personality. It's excusable and even charming at 25 but a 35 year old female character with these qualities bothers me. I'll read one more installment to see if this story improves. I think there is a reason serial romance is not a best selling genre.

What do you end up with when you take out a personal ad?
A hunky rich Englishman of course!

3.5 Stars

Genre: Contemporary Romance – Silly & Sexy
Cover: 5/10
Writing: 5/10
Heroine: 7/10
Hero: 7/10
Humour: 5/10
Hotness: 7/10
Romance: 1/10
Extra book Details: Each book is approx 60 to 80 kindle pages. 6 serials; all released. Dual POV, 1st person.

This first book kicks off with the heroine taking out a personal ad requesting a no strings attached one night only deal. Needing a date for a charity ball, the hero responds. Of course, both parties end up wanting more.

Anyhow...
If you've read any of Elle Casey's books, you know what kind of humour you're letting yourself in for, at least from the heroine. Silly funny kind of immature wit. Sometimes it makes it very hard to differentiate between this heroine and that one.

My main problem with this book (and the reason for my 3.5 stars) was the English hero. Where his father only became rich and successful in his later life, and seemingly brought up poor (yet born/lived in a rich area of England); the hero talks like he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. Not only was his English 'posh' but his analogies were extreme, as was his use of English slang. No-one speaks like that in the UK. It was too much, and in the end, very distracting for this British reader.

That said, I found everything else quite nice. It's easy going so far, a casual read. And probably easy to get sucked into. But I’ll hold my reservations for now, 'cause I’m honestly unsure whether I’ll be carrying on with the whole thing.
