My name is Willow Masters. I’m a senior in college, I’m smart and I keep to myself. I haven’t had an “incident” in years. What all of these facts have in common is that none of them made any difference when it came to Ebon Daniels.
He started out as my sister’s date. I was instantly infatuated, but had no plans to do anything about it. I even managed to keep my feelings hidden when he took over my Modernist Literature class for the semester. The problems didn’t start until my sister took pages from my book—literal pages from a book I was writing—and gave them to the one person never intended to see them. That’s when the lies started. That’s also when I saw an opportunity to make my only dream become a reality.
So I took it.
And nothing will ever be the same again.
How could one lie spark a wildfire that burned down everything in its path? How could it get me all I ever wanted and then cost me everything that ever mattered?
It doesn’t seem possible, but it is. It’s possible, it’s true and it’s tragic. In my book, there is a happy ending, but I don’t know if my life will have the same outcome.
My name is Willow Masters and this is the story of how falling in love with my teacher nearly destroyed both of our lives.
THIS! THIS LITTLE BOOK IS SINFUL, EROTIC, ENTICING AND BREATHTAKING!
I absolutely loved it. This is a really quick read. I sat down and about an hour later I was done and DYING for book two. The plot line really sinks it's teeth in you and doesn't let go. The authors writing is good, crisp and clean. The characters are incredible. It's a serial, so it's going to be released in segments. The ending leaves you DYING FOR MORE!
Willow is the good girl. She has an IDENTICAL twin sister who, IMO, is an ass. She's sort of a diva, very, very selfish. Willow's in collage and lives with her twin. She's got this "crush" on her professor who also happens to be her sisters boyfriend.
ARE YOU SEEING SOME YUMMINESS HERE?!?! Huh? Huh?
Mmmhmm! *laughs* anyway some stuff happens which I will not tell you because this should just be DEVOURED without spoilers! BUT it gets freaking TENSE and STEAMY!
It's just a fantastic, quick and smutastic read. I LOVED it and I can't wait to get read the next book. I highly recommend it!
FULL REVIEW: I was completely captivated by this book. Teaching Willow was like nothing I expected. I mean, I knew it was going to be centered around college and a student being in love with her professor... But...BUT...OH MY WORD...this was sooooo much more. I thought I was going to get this exotic forbidden love story, but what lies in these pages will literally blow you away. Paige James kept me on my toes from start to finish. Thoroughly captured, constantly guessing at where the story is going to take me, Teaching Willow is an outstanding read. I can't tell you how many times my jaw dropped at the explosive twists and turns found in the plot. With this only being a novella, it is bursting with thrilling, heart-racing moments, along with some of the steamiest sex scenes I have ever read. *fans self* I don't know if I can truly express to you just how astounded I am at this breath-taking novella. I will say this... Teaching Willow took me on one hell of a roller coaster ride. Slowly taking you on that upward climb...building that suspense....getting you all worked up...excited...nervous...anxious...and then BAM!!! You are thrown in to the craziness of the uncertainty. Flipping you upside down, causing your stomach to jolt at the madness of this electrifying tale. And just when you think you are coming to the end of this tumultuous ride...you are left dangling...DYING...knowing that you are going to have to wait for the next spine-tingling, riveting session to continue on from this stunning break out author... I highly...HIGHLY recommend you pick this up and join me on this exciting adventure...
Teaching Willow is a smoking hot quick read. It's a teacher/student story and to be honest I am normally not a big fan of those because the stories are usually far fetched for me. The author has to make the student an 18-20 year-old adult and for some reason that takes the "forbidden" element away for me. I don't get why it is so wrong. (I know I am a little twisted.) ;) That being said I really really enjoyed this one. The writing had a beautiful flow to it and it was told with a little twist that upped the drive of the story. Our Willow who is a sweet, shy, studious college student gets herself into quite a pickle with her teacher. Her achingly hot teacher who she dreams about... writes about... longs for. One that will be so fun watching her manage. One that has the potential of working out well for her or exploding in her face. I can't wait to see how this little game plays out. Okay Paige I am ready for Session Two now!
The premise is very interesting and this was good enough to make me continue reading. Although, what this is lacks is a proper beginning. For example, how did they all meet; did Ebon meet first Sage or Willow? Why/when did Sage give Willow’s writing to Ebon? Some things are not explained, but I like the fact that the characters are not exactly innocent and good. So I’m hoping things will be further developed as we go along.
Hmmm…that was certainly different! Not at all what I was expecting, but in a good way—a different way.
Let me start off by saying that I love—absolutely love—forbidden romance books. And what is better than a good ole student/teacher forbidden relationship? Nothing, right? Well that’s where Teaching Willow (Session One) gets even more interesting, because it’s not at all the typical forbidden student/teacher relationship story. There are a few intriguing twists that will hook you and leave you wondering where in the world this story is going.
Teaching Willow: Session One introduces you to the main characters and the basic plot of this story—although I have a feeling there will be a few more twists to this plot along the way. There are two sisters, Willow and Sage Masters, who are also Identical twins. Willow is a senior in college and a student in Ebon Daniels literature class and Ebon also happens to be the boyfriend of Sage. Willow is infatuated with Ebon and has been lusting after him without anyone knowing. But to Willows horror, Sage does something unfathomable and this is where this story starts to get interesting.
I really liked Willow, she seems very introverted to an outsider, but yet she is fairly normal with the people close to her. She’s super intelligent and a plain Jane compared to Sage, but she has a natural beauty that is definitely suitable for Ebon Daniels. Not to mention she is talented at writing and the things she writes about will certainly make you blush or catch your attention. However, Willow has a few secrets she’s keeping and the lengths she goes too to keep her deceptions from being revealed are pretty shocking.
Sage, while we don’t get to know too much about her, seems to be the complete opposite of Willow. She’s more outgoing, very into her appearance, and has attracted the likes of Ebon. It will be very interesting to see what part Sage will play as this story unfolds, especially after the twists in the first session of this serial.
Then we have Ebon Daniels. Ebon, Ebon, Ebon! He’s the teacher every girl wishes she had in college or even high school. He’s smart and extremely good looking—tall, with green eyes, longish black/brown hair, and facial stubble. It’s no surprise he is perfect in Willow’s eyes. But Ebon has a few secrets he’s keeping too and I can’t wait to see what happens when all these secrets are exposed. I don’t want to say much more because I was truly surprised with a few things that happen and am very anxious to see what the author has in store for these three.
Overall I really enjoyed the first session of Teaching Willow. There were a few word choices/descriptions that I wasn’t crazy about, but it didn’t take away from story. I thought the characters and plot were well developed for the first session of this series. The pace was quick and it ended at a good pausing place, leaving the reader wanting more. I really like this new trend in serial series and I definitely recommend reading this one! It has a little bit of everything and a twist that I personally haven’t seen before.
I thought the writing in this book was really great, very fluid, very clean. My issues are more with my own personal preferences regarding the story. I thought it was a little over the top. I absolutely love a teacher/student romance... it's probably my favorite thing ever. So I love the forbidden attraction between Willow and Ebon. I got it. I also loved how their attraction is made to be further taboo by the fact that Ebon dates Willow's identical twin sister, Sage. This relationship has no shot in hell of being considered OK. I love that.
I love the premise of Ebon being secretly attracted to Willow for a long time, being drawn to her for more reasons than just the physical. I love that Willow's feelings are unearthed to Ebon through her writing... I thought it was all really well created and original.
My issues came with Willow pretending to be Sage, and with Ebon going back to sleep with "Sage" as a way to get things out of his system. It just made this really great story so completely unbelievable. And before people throw things, I realize this is fiction... I respect that. I know most of what we read is outside of the realm of realistic. I also understand this is an erotic novella, and for readers who love erotica, this is going to be a perfect read because it's all about erotic fantasy. And in that regard, this author nails.
I think I'm just not the target audience, or maybe my brain wasn't prepared going in to where this story went. Again, great writing, obviously original story line... it just went into a farfetched direction that wasn't for me.
When I was asked to participate in this new & different kind of tour/review, I JUMPED ON IT!!! I loved the fact I didn't have to read the WHOLE book, just a segment of it. This is nice, new & refreshing way to review, I NEEDED IT!!!
Now to the important stuff, on to the book! Teaching Willow is about a forbidden love, a love that might be one-sided or is it... I do enjoy a good teacher student read. I have read a few with this sort of set up, but I loved that is was at a Collegiate level. Made it more enjoyable for me & I plowed right through this segment.
Did I mention there is a TWIST, like a big one that I LOVED!!! I love being surprised & so engulfed in a book you don't see something coming, well done Paige James, well done. This book caught me off guard, wasn't expecting such a fast passionate book, like it gets straight to the point. The forbidden naughtiness & sexiness of the book was exactly what Teaching Willow was for me... I am excited to read the next segment in this series. I totally have enjoyed what I have read so far & totally looking forward to what's next... BRING IT ON!!! Kiki from Read This ~ Hear That
4.5 This is going to blow up in her face BIG TIME!!
Willow is a senior at The University of Florida and in love with her Lit professor - Ebon. Ebon is dating Willow's twin sister Sage. Sage and Willow are identical twins, but Willow is more intellectual and Sage is more materialistic.
When Sage and Ebon break up, Sage decides to leave the country for work. In steps Willow who pretends to be Sage, to fulfill her desires for Ebon.
This is a series of books, so there is no conclusions only assumptions.
This was a great start to this serial. Teaching Willow: Session One was a short, sinfully sweet, well written student/teacher romance and I NEED session two!!! Paige doesn't give us the usual flirty teacher/student relationship here, oh no, there's a twist that had me thinking "Oh hell Willow, what are you getting yourself into???" I was reading this at 2:30 in the morning wanting more and fanning myself. The sex is hot, the writing flowed and the ending made me let out a little "ohhh crap" needing to know how this story plays out.

**4.5 Stars** Oh, what a tangled web we weave, Ms. Masters.
There is so much I want to say about Teaching Willow but I can't say it without giving things away. So here goes:
Willow Masters has a problem. She's in love with her professor, Ebon Daniels, who also happens to be her sister's boyfriend. When Sage, Willow's sister, betrays her to Ebon, Willow tells one little lie. A lie that snowballs into quite the chain of events which involves lots of sex and duplicity.
Teaching Willow is told from both Willow's and Ebon's POVs. It added so much to the character development as well as the tension. Willow seems smart, but shy and unsure of herself. She has some sort of history, that once revealed, may help to explain her actions. But one thing's for sure, she's desperately in love with Ebon. So she's willing to take the opportunity given to her to spend time with him. In getting to know Willow, I could see where she was coming from. Ebon, however, is more self-aware, as we see in his internal dialog. Reading his internal debates was enlightening. Knowing his thoughts only made his actions more delicious!
Teaching Willow is like seeing an impending train wreck...I knew it's going to be tragic but I couldn't help but continuing to read. It kept me biting my nails throughout. I worried about the decisions Willow was making, trying to understand her logic and fraught with tension over how it's all going to work out. I'm hooked, Ms. James, and I'm oh so glad I have a short wait for the next session! ;)
I have never read a serial before and I’m not sure I can honestly say I like them since it seems that just when I’m really getting into the story and becoming anxious to see where it goes…IT ENDS! On the other hand, it’s definitely easy to fit into your schedule and gives you just enough of a tease to keep you coming back for more. Teaching Willow: Session One by Paige James is a quick, easy, super steamy read that sets the stage for the rest of the series with mystery, deceit, and intrigue.
I love a good student/teacher romance so I was quick to snatch this one up. Turns out that Session One at least is not necessarily centered on this aspect of the story and more on the breaking of girl/sister code by coveting thy sister’s boyfriend. Oh and of course on the LIES! This makes it just as taboo and interesting though with plenty of potential for student/teacher drama yet to come.
I was able to really be drawn into this story and I want more, more, more. Another plus about serials, you don’t have to wait too long for the continuation of the story so it does make the suspense a bit more bearable. I was actually amazed at how invested in the story and the characters that I was able to become in such a short period of time and now I can’t wait for school to be back in session.
Ok so when fellow bloggers ask me to read books, its very hard for me to resist and say no even when I am so busy and scheduled reading other books. When Autumn contacted me, of course I had to say yes and I am SO glad that I did.
Paige James is a new author to me and I definitely look forward to reading more from her.
I love forbidden romances and most especially the student/teacher kind. This was a quick, HOT read. The opening sucks you right in and there is no looking back.
There were some unexpected twists that I wasn't expecting which made it even more enticing to read and then OMG it was done and I am left wanting more!
This was a well written debut and totally different from what I have been reading in that it is a serial so very short, to the point, hot and will leave you wanting more.
If you are looking for a quick read, I definitely encourage you to give it a try.
Great job and can't wait til Session Two to see what happens!!! <3
Willow is a hot mess! She's fallen in love with her sisters boyfriend, Ebon, who also happens to be her college lit professor. At the beginning of the semester the students are given an assignment to write one chapter a week but it doesn't have to be turned in. But when willows sister,Sage, stumbles across Willows writings and reads them....she gives them to Ebon. It's not just a sweet chapter or two about life.....it's erotica about him. So what will Ebon do? What happens between Willow and Sage? Better yet, what happens between Willow and Ebon? What happens when one lie spins out of control and creates havoc in their lives?? Stay tuned....session two will be out soon!!
This was a short read. I thought it was an okay storyline. I thought that the fact that Willow pretended to be someone else is real stupid because Ebon really wants Willow. I am now wondering what will happen if her twin sister, Sage comes home. It is going to be awkward. I thought the characters could have more development within themselves. Overall, an okay read.
THIS REVIEW IS BASED ON THE ENTIRE FOUR SESSIONS OF THIS STORY.
OUR HERO is the heroine's teacher and he is actually VERY attracted to her but tries to be the better person by avoiding to start anything with her because teacher and student romances are forbidden. So, he dates her twin sister instead but found Sage wanting despite her sexy bod. What I thought this hero lacked was sheer determination and just being AN ALPHA MAN. Sure, the author makes him quite hot and dirty in the bedroom but outside...naww he's not that endearing...he just doesn't take charge and honestly, being unable to identify the twin you like...is just lame.
OUR HEROINE has been in love with her teacher since forever but he's dating her twin sister until they broke up. When Sage leaves for awhile, Willow takes over her sister's identity and begins a sexual relationship with Mr.E. But what will happen when Sage returns? And when her lies unravel and Mr.E or Noah's past comes into play what will happen?
OVERALL this wasn't the most original story and the characters weren't impactful or lasting in impression. You can almost see how the entire story goes down from the moment you start.
How do I get to read these novels. I have tried several times but am failing. Am in Uganda Africa. Do I download them or?? And if am to download how do I do it coz I have failed and I need quick help.
Okay, so honestly, I’m still a bit torn on this one. I just don’t know what to think. There was plenty I dug, though, so that’s a plus. I will say, the synopsis feels too long, given this serial is probably less than 20k words. I’d not read it before I read the book, thankfully. But weirdly enough, I can’t even pinpoint what bugged me about this installment, but there was just something that held me back from totally loving it all the way. Hard to explain, and I don’t want to hint too much at the plot.
So we meet Willow, who has a crush–okay, a bit more than that–on her professor, Ebon. The bigger problem than the fact that he’s her teacher … he’s her twin sister’s boyfriend. So you can see where some issue might lie there. But, even better, there was enough of a twist in there that I really appreciated, and I can’t wait to see where it all goes.
As for the writing, it was well done. The sexy was very sexy. Ebon knows what’s up, that’s for sure. It’s told from alternating POV, so you do get a glimpse into his mind … hot.
I like student-teacher books. A lot. I like any moral dilemmas. Not sure I’d want to dive into that with a therapist anytime soon, but it’s the truth. I liked the secrets, lies, and like I said, there’s a twist that should pull you in and keep you on your toes.
This is such a tricky book/serial to review because it’s short, and I definitely don’t want to give anything away. But I have to say, it’s certainly worth the read. Especially if you’re a fan of steam, conflict, and a bit of deceit. This one will keep you guessing, for sure. I’m looking forward to picking up the next session soon!
I've really grown to like serial novellas. They're quick reads, there's not a long wait between releases like there can be for full-length books and when they're done well, you get a great story and characters. More bang for your buck, so to speak. Teaching Willow is an erotic serial, so you get an added dose of sexy with this one. Session One did just what I needed the first book in a serial to do: sucked me in and made me want more of the characters.
I love the idea of this serial and I believe it's off to a great start. It was unique and sexy and even a bit mysterious. There's a lot to these characters and their story and I can't wait to see how it unfolds. The dynamic between Willow and Sage was interesting and I'm looking forward to more from the twins. I know there's bound to be some fallout sooner or later. Willow and Ebon together are fantastic. They're passionate and sensual. There's a definite chemistry. Yes, he's her professor, but they're all consenting adults. (Did I mention student/teacher romances are one of my guilty pleasures? They totally are.)
I devoured this novella in about half an hour. I was completely sucked in from the start. It was smoking hot and the deceit made the story more interesting – and I know it's only going to get more interesting from here on out. I can't wait to see where Paige takes readers with the next novella. I'm hooked.
I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
I find the whole student/teacher relationship intriguing, which was one of the reasons I wanted to read this book, even though especially in college, I personally don't see why it is such a big deal, especially when the people involved are close to the same age. Nonetheless, the potential for abuse is there, and then there is the fact that the forbidden always makes for a good story. Teaching Willow is the beginning of what has the potential to be a really good story.... a very sexy, steamy, adult-only story, one which packs on the heat. That said, yes there is a whole lot of sex in the book, so if you like that kind of think you will enjoy it, but if you don't, then this probably isn't for you.
I am still not quite sure how I feel about serial novels in general yet, because I've not read many, so the jury remains out on that for me, though I am sure there are a lot of people who love them. While I did like the story overall, and you couldn't ask for hotter sexy scenes, I did not care too much for the deception part at all, on Willow or Ebon's part. I really can't elaborate more than that without spoiling it. I will say though, that this is probably what some people are going to like most about the story. That said, yes this is a good beginning to a story that is excellently written, but I am going to have to read the next section or two to determine how I really feel about it. If you enjoy erotic romance, then this is something you might want to check out
I have never read a serial before and I’m not sure I can honestly say I like them since it seems that just when I’m really getting into the story and becoming anxious to see where it goes…IT ENDS! Well that was fun and steamy and oh so good. This was a super quick read and it is easy to devour. I just ate this one up and I can tell that I am going to thoroughly enjoy this serial.
Willow and Ebon have so much tension and my gosh it just seeps off the pages. Those two are incredibly hot together, but what I loved most is that they are attracted to each other on much more than just a physical level. Those two click on a personal level. However, the teacher/student relationship makes things difficult. Naturally that forbidden romance makes things hotter. Then one decision changes everything and makes things even more complicated.
I can already tell from this introduction that things are going to get twisted and crazy and even hotter. With the way things were left off, I just know that there is trouble coming and I simply cannot wait to get into that trouble. I have a feeling the next installment will be even hotter than this one!
The power of twins has been brought to a whole new level! Willow is in college and lives with her twin sister Sage. They are the striking mirror image of each other but have totally opposite in personalities. Willow appears more laid back, where Sage is not afraid to tell someone how she really feels. Ebon is an interesting little creature. He has this professor/authority figure persona but yet he's total dominance in the bedroom! *begin salivation* I love Teaching Willow as it seems the events happening in the book are what bring Willow out of her shell, causing her to do things she has never done before...almost building an independence! It's definitely going to be interesting to see how the next few "Sessions" go and I, for one, cannot wait for more!
In the world of forbidden relationships and mistaken identities, we find Willow smitten with her English professor while her twin sister is meanwhile is dating him. Her sister finds chapters of erotic scenes written about the professor and shows him. He becomes more fascinated with Willow and breaks up with the sister not before he finds himself sleeping with her which turns out to be Willow pretending to be her sister.
We are drawn to the forbidden relationship of teacher and student dynamics. How there is a fine line at times and the consequences that may occur. We are left to wonder what will happen when he learns the truth and the possibilities of unprotected sex.
Couldn't give this 5 stars because I don't like the fact that she is lying to him. It would have been so much easier to have him know the truth. He wants her anyway.
I just don't like that he keeps calling her sage. If anything I wish he wouldn't say any name since he's thinking of willow instead anyway.
I hoped their first time together he would have at least felt something different and maybe had doubts even if he would brush them aside.
I hope he finds out soon and that he continues to sleep with her anyway.
