Teaching Willow #2

Teaching Willow: Session Two

Rate this book
Infatuated. That’s how it began.

Desperate. That’s when it escalated.

Addicted. That’s what I’ve become.

Just when I think that I’ve discovered the one thing I wouldn’t do for Ebon, the one extreme to which I would not go, I find myself exceeding it. Looking back with regret, looking forward with dread, and living the now like it’s all I’ve got.

Because it is.

It’s pure bliss. It’s unimaginable hell. It’s all I know, all I want to know. A runaway train that I can’t stop, one that I don’t really want to.

But disaster is coming. It will turn sweet into bitter, deception into devastation. Perfection into wreckage.

Ruin. That’s what’s coming.

Ruin.

In book two Willow continues her deception with Ebon...all I can think is this is going to blow up in her face.

Second...she has mental issues???

Third...am I the only one who would be offended he was only interested in me because he thinks you are your sister??

Despite all this, I am so intrigued and I am dying to see how this blows up in her face, second this series is steaming hot. I couldn't quit if tried!

Good golly! The tension is ratcheted up 110% in this installment. And of course it involves more duplicity, more hot sex, and more than a little mind f#ckery. As Willow gets deeper and deeper into her deception, I can't help but agree with her...a shit storm is coming!

I delighted in seeing Willow and Ebon's relationship grow. It felt as though they were getting to know one another. But we also find out that Willow isn't the only one being deceitful. Ebon has a few secrets of his own. And he still struggles with this feelings towards the Masters sisters.

I'm tense and anxious wanting to know what's going to come next. Ms. James, you have me hanging by a thread...

Well, session two is certainly heating things up between Sage (Willow) and Ebon. It's definitely becoming much more layered and convoluted and the lies have sprung new lies, which have, in turn, grown their own lies.

So when we left off in session one, Willow had finally gotten Ebon ... but as Sage. And so she was going to continue this relationship with Ebon under the guise of Sage, for as long as she could. She knew it would eventually have an end date, but for the time she could have him, she would take him.

It's so crazy to me that she's so okay with living this lie, knowing it can't continue forever. But you do get the sense of foreboding more in this session. She's already planning for the demise of the lies she's spun, and she's being a touch more reckless with allowing Willow to come through during her time as Sage.

There's definitely more to both of their histories, and I'm looking forward to that being uncovered. We slowly got more in this session, as Willow visited a doctor and the discontinuation of "meds" was once again brought up. I'm intrigued where all that's concerned, but I don't want to give away any of my theories just yet. As for Ebon ... if that's even his name ... he's got some sort of shady past, too, apparently, and I'm guessing that'll be coming to a head soon.

Willow and Ebon's relationship, as student and teacher, sort of mellows out in the first portion of this novella, but by the end, it seems there's more desire there. I will say, it is very weird to me that a teacher, who wants to keep his distance from his student, would encourage said student to continue writing about his sex life with her sister. Seems kinda creepy to me. Definitely not a choice topic I would write about.

The side of Willow, as Sage, with Ebon has significantly heated up. They're using the writing to further their sexual escapades, and overall, they're very well written; however, I'm not a fan of the "c-word" during sex scenes. At all. To me, it's a derogatory term, so when I crossed that twice in this story, it was a turn off for me.

The end of this session was very powerful, and while I know it all has to come crashing together eventually, I'm way more into where it's going now. That end had me very whoa-what-the-hell, and I know it's about to get much more twisted and interesting.

It’s been a while since I read the first part of this serial, but I had no trouble dropping right back into the crazy. This session was like watching a train wreck, in a good way though. You read this book knowing that none of it can end well and that everything is going to blow up in Willow’s face, and yet you can’t stop reading and hoping that somehow there is a happy way out of all of this crazy. It was interesting to learn too that Ebon isn’t innocent. Definitely intrigued by him and I wanna know his secrets. Also, for a short story these sessions pack some serious sexy. My gosh those scenes were hot. With the way this one ended, I’m dying to know what is to come. All I know is it’s gonna be crazy.

HOLY HOTNESS!!!

The second session blew my mind & my panties. Not going to lie, there are some really hot scenes between "Sage" & Ebon. Willow has grown from session one to session two, she is also getting brave and adventurous, in which I am scared might break her heart in the long run. I am scared her secret might not go over well with those she is with holding the truth. Family, friends, and of course... Ebon.

As you are reading just be PREPARED for the SHALLOWS scene. There is some melting butter involved that will have you craving sea food, all in a good way of course. It's all about the imagination and these two are a fun couple to watch!!! I have a sudden urge for lobster and butter.

In session two we get a glimpse into their pasts, where information is shared and there is more to the puzzle than we know, I am sure we will get to the bottom of before the book is over, I am assuming of course. I am intrigued to what Willow has endured in her past and for what Ebon is hiding in his. This was just... wow... pure HOTNESS!!!

Holy hell, my stomach was in knots for this read!! I’m going to warn you, if you haven’t read the first session there WILL BE SPOILERS in this review, so stop reading!!

Okay, so Willow is fully immersed in her life as Sage now, living the lie and drowning in it on a daily basis. I was stressed FOR her as she tried to juggle living as Sage to be with Ebon and still having to maintain her normal ‘Willow life’ both with him and for her own basic routine. Willow was stressed and stretched to the max as she tried to hold onto this bliss that she has with the man she’s falling so hard for, but it’s like she’s trying to hold onto a broken glass that keeps losing it’s pieces. She’s losing her heart to Ebon, and she’s desperately trying to keep the lie going just because the idea of not having him, whether it’s as Sage or herself, is unbearable. As easy as it would be to judge her and say what she’s doing is completely wrong, at the same time, it’s clear that Ebon is falling for Willow, not Sage. Even as she pretends to be her sister, Willow comes to the surface whenever they are together, and that’s what Ebon is starting to open up his heart to.

Ebon opens up to Willow’s Sage on deeper levels this time around, and the moments they shared went from entirely sweet and tender to smoking hot steamy…and I loved it!! They feed off of each other’s needs perfectly, so the chemistry was once again off the charts, but they also shared parts of themselves that made their connection so much more than a superficial attraction. I can only hope that when the shit hits the fan, Ebon remembers all of this!!

Willow as herself had a much less pronounced role in this second session, what with Sage out of the picture and Ebon spending so much time with Willow’s version of her. As Ebon’s feelings are growing deeper for this new Sage, who he thinks he’s just underestimated, Willow finds herself feeling less and less connected to him unless she’s playing her sister, and it was tearing her to pieces. Honestly, I think I’m going to have an ulcer by the time this series is finished, because I’m so nervous and unsettled for this woman it’s maddening!! And with a jaw-dropping cliffhanger that had me pulling my hair out, I’m now bracing myself for some heart-wrenching moments ahead!

Quotes:

Somewhere deep in the bottom of my soul, it bothers me that lies seem to be coming to me more quickly now. ~Loc 116

But God help me, I can’t stop. I can’t give him up. Not yet. I need my Ebon fix for as long as I can have it. I’m addicted. Shamelessly, irrevocably addicted. ~Loc 428

When he finally lowers his lips to mine, the kiss is different. It’s soft and tender, reverent and pure. It feels like the tears that are spilling down my cheeks. It feels warm yet cool, bitter yet sweet. It feels like the beginning, but also the end. ~Loc 818

There's not much I can say about this novella without running the risk of ruining the story for anyone who plans to read but hasn't yet, so this will be short and sweet.

Willow's charade continues in the second part of this serial novella. Ebon still believes she's her twin, Sage, and still remains conflicted about his attraction to Willow... as Willow. The characters are wonderfully flawed, the sex scenes are steamy and the drama is building to what I'm sure is going to be a huge explosion soon.

And that ending? Ooooooh boy. I can't wait for the next installment in this story. Things are going to get mighty interesting!

I know serial novellas aren't for everyone, nor is erotica. If you're a fan of both, you should definitely check out Teaching Willow. The books are a quick, easy (and steamy!) read. They're not overly angsty or dramatic. The characters are interesting and the story is given to you in bite-sized morsels that keep you intrigued during the wait between episodes.

I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Holy Hot!

So the serial continues and we are thrown back into the deception that is now Willow and Ebon's relationship.

Things are definitely heating up between these two, becoming more intense with lies building upon the lies.

The reader sees that there are histories behind these characters and I am more than curious to find out what they are in the upcoming sessions.

We also see more of Willow as Sage in this installment and I can't help but question how Ebon doesn't see this drastic change when he is with her...to me, their personalities are so different that I am surprised that he doesn't question this more.

As the end of this session comes about, we are left with an OMG moment and I am almost afraid of what the next session will bring us and if the truths between the sisters will come out and what the consequences will be.

The writing is definitely captivating and leaves you wanting more...I know serials are "in" now but I almost wish that this was one novel because the suspense is killing me!

I look forward to session 3 coming soon!! If you haven't picked up this serial yet, you are definitely missing out!

MICHELLE'S REVIEW -

Just when I think things can’t get much more complicated or hot, Paige James really turns up the heat with Finding Willow: Session Two. There were some pretty scorching love scenes with just enough mystery and intrigue to make you sit up and beg for more. The perfect mix of story and romance without being too over the top or focused only on the bedroom activities.

Things just get more complex as a secret from Willow’s past is revealed and we find out that Ebon has some skeletons of his own that he has been hiding. Not to mention that ending! Even though you know that Willow’s deception has to come to light at some point, it appears that this will be happening much sooner rather than later.

I won’t say too much about the physical aspect of this relationship only that it is so white hot I thought my ereader would go up in flames at any moment. Oh and that Ebon should get an award for his dirty talking skills.

After that heart-stopping ending my nerves are going to be shot by the time Session Three is released. I can’t wait to see how this is going to play out!

WOW....Just wow...
I was so flippin curious as to where this session was going to go. The suspense that builds in this book from point A to point B is exhilarating.
I am biting my nails the whole time waiting for the proverbial ax to fall and blow everything out of the water. I am truly holding my breath awaiting that moment.
The second session is just as HOT as the first one, leaving me breathless and aching....GAH Paige James can write a sex scene that gets your blood boiling and has you craving for your own release... Sorry if that is too much but *sighs* it just needed to be said...*fans self*
I am so caught up in this amazing phenomenal story. I am not going to make this too long because I know that this is just a prelude to the next session and with all that is sane in me...I CANNOT WAIT until I can get my hands on it...
If you haven't started this novella series yet...PLEASE do not wait...OMG...you will not regret picking it up...

Teaching Willow is a series of novellas.....I don't usually do serials until the whole series is released but this is a teacher/student story line and if anyone knows me I am a HUGE fan of the forbidden, it is my weakness. Second, Paige has managed to add a extra forbidden/secretive story line to Teaching Willow and I am quite addicted to these novella's....I LOVE them....I NEED more Willow and Ebon in my life.

I don't want to give any of the story away at all, especially if you haven't read Session 1 but things are really heating up in Session two (in and out of the bedroom! We are finding out more about Willow and Ebon's pasts and also getting into a more in-depth story. This review is shorter than my typical review, but I just really don't want to ruin the experience for you, you will love getting into Ebon and Willow's heads. Teaching Willow is intriguing, smoking hot, fascinating, and oh so sexy! A HUGE 4.5 FORBIDDEN, SULTRY stars from me. The ending gahhhhhh.....now when can I get my hands on Session 3?

Paige's Teaching Willow has quickly become a favorite. I honestly never thought I'd enjoy serials but, Teaching Willow has taught me I was WRONG! I devour each installment and wait with excitement for the next one. In session one we met Willow and learned of her feelings toward Ebon...we also learned of her deceptions and lies. Well! In session two her deception continues and we see her fall deeper into her web of lies...BUT her lies are going to catch up to her, with the turn of events at the end I was left with my mouth wide open saying "ohhhh no, Willow is in some deep ish now!" I am dying, DY-ING to find out what kind of repercussions she faces as a result of all her lies. Will everything she's done blow up in her face? Will everything work out in the end? I NEED TO KNOW! I NEED MORE! Teaching Willow is like a favorite TV show, you need the following episode ASAP.

I guess it's just bothering me that she feels so okay about lying to ebon because she desires him so much.

If I were in a situation like this one I would feel extremely guilty and more than likely not be able to pull off being two people.

It just seems kind of stupid she wants him so bad but she's making him fall for her sister that's not even really how her sister acts. What does she think is going to happen?

I guess we're now closer to Ebon finding out. Let's hope it's real soon because I can't deal with her lies and how annoying everything is turning out to be.

Since I've started the series I will end it so please be only 4 books please.

Oh my...this steamy little series just keeps getting better! Willow definitely has gotten herself into quite the situation! (Oh and before I go much further...if you have not read Session 1, stop and go read it!) I love seeing how this story keeps unfolding. Each person unfolding new desires and needs from the other. This book will keep you hanging on and wanting more! Session 3 cannot get here soon enough! Because I know all hell is about to break loose and I am ready for it!!!

I feel like I was going down the rabbit hole with Willow in this book. It was steamy, and I love the story. I liked the first one more, but that doesn't mean this one wasn't good by any means. The writing leaves me wanting more, but this seemed a little darker than the first session. I'm totally invested in this story, and my jaw dropped at the end of this one. Session three can't come quick enough!

Holy smokes! I'm almost at a loss for words. I had no idea what this story was about when my BFF said to read it. It's very erotic and I swear both of the lead characters are crazy as f♥ck. There is mystery and intrigue. There are very juicy sex scenes as well (pun intended). I'm a little afraid of where this story is heading. It's not like anything I've read before.
