Photographs are everywhere. To an extent video has taken over from stills photography in showing people the world and what’s happening in it.

Alison bought this book for me from The Village Bookshop in Dulwich after we’d been to see the Tirzah Garwood exhibition. It’s apt that a book that discusses what photographs tell you about the world, and what they don’t, after seeing, for example, the woodcuts in the exhibition.

An interesting book that looks at different types of photographs and what you can get out of them. I’d be wary, and worried too, if my photographs, were subject to this level of scrutiny and analysis.

Interesting sounding series .

Very informative, profound, and political. A good selection of pictures and many artists. I really liked it!

Lots of great photographs and interesting points made about them, but the flow and theses felt kind of scattered
