Margo, Margo, Margo

What can be said about Margo. Was she annoying, yes. Very much annoying. Negal has his work cut out for him. Margo sees conspiracy everywhere. Fear, crazy situations happening, and suspects the worst from it all. She can be negative before positive. She's definitely a piece of work. I think the story could have gone another chapter with Margo starting to transition.

A lot has been going on with this cruise. Cartel bosses, Doomers, crazy boyfriend selling Margo and Jasmine off, trafficking, weddings. Connecting to the hone planet thru Aru and his sister's shared telepathy. Annani getting to talk to her granny as she learns about her home planet and her narcissistic evil crazy grandfather.

The more Negal reveals to Margo about how life is there, it makes you wonder about that alien planet with all the genetic alterations. I would like to know what they were altered from. That's the question.

And I'm glad Annani is starting to wonder if Khiann is in stasis like Wonder was. There is something about Jasmine with the swirling eyes. Hopefully Max will finally get a mate.

As Margo grows closer to Negal, she starts to realize that she needs to get over her reservations about being intimate. As they grow closer and their feelings intensify, Margo finds that she needs to take the plunge and work on her transition. Meanwhile, what is going on with Jasmine? Why is she so good at cards and everyone seems to like her. She starts to get visited by several people who are curious about her. And once again Annani’s words are so perfect for the couple being married. And the couple’s vows also bring tears to your eyes. Then, yet another situation causes some turmoil. And then once again you are left wondering. Will Margo transition? Will the newest crisis be resolved? What is going on with Jasmine? I need the next book now!

Brilliant Series

Dark Horizon (Children Of The Gods Book 82) by I T Lucas. After 2 days Margo is comfortable enough with Negal to start on her transition. It seems impossible to both of them that they had fallen in love in such a short time. Meanwhile it’s the turn of Kri and Michael to get married and Annani, through the twins Ari and Aria, is able to “speak” to her grandmother Ani on the planet Anumati.

Dark Horizon The Witching Hour, Book 82 of the Children of the Gods series by Isabell Lucas @itlucas_author - You must read this series in order from book 1.

This book ends the trilogy about Margo & Negal.

I honestly hated the end of this book! 🤦🏼‍♀️😂 it was as always an excellent book, but the ending! Wah! Lots of questions are left unanswered & I can't WAIT for the next book!

I received this #ARCBook early and I am freely leaving my honest review.

It just keeps getting better and better!

As always in my reviews for this series let me first say if you haven’t read this series start with book one (Dark stranger the dream) immediately and enjoy! I’m jealous of the adventure you’re about to go on.

This series is my all time favorite out of the massive amout of kindle unlimited books I’ve read and it’s definitely in my top 5 over all series.

The only thing I will say that is negative is that is losing its spice factor. However the story is improving, I don’t hate the trade off but I feel like we can have both.

*I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review

ARC reader here, so there are definitely one spoilers (but expected) in the body of the review but also several serious hints!

So much new and exciting information regarding the entire series unfolds in this great sequel! Communication is being established between Earth and the Gods home planet,
Margo and Negal are fully devoted to each other, and the mysterious and beautiful Jasmine who was rescued from the Doomers in a trafficking situation may be more than just a pretty face.
With an assist from Negal, Karen has finally started to transition to immorality. But Negal’s greatest hope is that Margo will transition and be his fated mate, but they have been off to a slow start due to Margo’s issues with true intimacy. But their feelings for one another have barreled ahead despite her cautious nature.
Peter seems devoted to his new love interest Marina - but he discovers that she was interested primarily in being moved into the Immortal’s village. What he doesn’t know, however, is that Marina thinks she’s truly falling for him. Can’t wait to find out how this plays out in future books!
The god Aru, now on Earth with fellow Gods Negal and Dagor, have been tasked with an important mission which keeps getting delayed. With only a few days left on the wedding cruise, will Margo turn out to truly be Negal’s fated mate and be able to go with him on this mission, or will she be left behind? So far in this wonderful series have the books main love interests not been fated mates, but there’s always that remote possibility!
And Aru, along with his twin Aria who lives on the gods home planet, are secretly providing communication between Annani the Clan Mother and her grandmother Queen Ani. The Queen must assess Annani to see if she is ready to ascend the throne as the last of the true heirs. But she also delivers interesting information concerning what happened on Earth thousands of years ago during an incident in which most all the gods were killed. Is it possible that Annani’s grandfather, the Eternal King, was so paranoid about relinquishing his crown that he was the one responsible for the devastation and not evil head of the Doomers Morthdh? Fortunately Annani and the survivors are shielded somehow from his sight.
While reading the book, my mind keeps wandering back to the god Kaluga who is sort of a chaotic neutral god. Adjacent to Annani and Kian, but very much in charge of his own group of followers. When his character was introduced and in a handful of times, Kaluga has expressed outright that HE wants to control over Earth’s inhabitants. It’ll have to be up to his wife Jackie’s love if he doesn’t go full dark side on us.
Probably the most exciting tidbit near the near of the story… a possibility of more Odus!!

This was my favorite series

Once upon a time…. I have to start with this statement because we are on book 82 it feels like ages ago I started this series.
This was my favorite series to read; I dropped whatever I was reading to start this series. To say I am disappointed with recent episodes is an understatement.
When Frankie and Margo were first introduced I was so excited for their series but their actual stories were lukewarm at best. Frankie’s character was unlikable and Margo and Negal’s romance felt really forced. Most fated couples are kind of insta love but in Negal’s case it felt so forced. I finished the book because Peter and Marina kept me engaged and I also wanted to see how Karen is Progressing. Author is doing a good job with story of doomers.

The steam part of the book. The words used were a no no. I felt like I was reading 70s bodice ripper book. Puffy petals. Moist folds. No. Just no. I was laughing and cringing hard lol. Anticipation for some good spice was the not the thing I felt while reading those lines

WITCHING HOUR WONDERS

You’ll be reading well into the middle of the witching hour with this novel.

It may be called Dark Horizon, but it lights me up from the inside as I continue to follow the Children of the Gods saga. Negal and Margo are turning my heart to goo, the bond between Peter and Marina is making my knee bounce in anticipation, and the transitioning Karen… well, my fingernails might have been bitten down to the quick.

So many extra characters that bring more trilogy possibilites… I’m here for it all!

I was lucky enough to snag an ARC, and I am giving my honest review without being under duress (chocolate withheld) or bribed (with chocolate).

The book count for this series may seem daunting since this is the 82th book, thankfully the way IT Lucas organizes the series is by having  the books are set in 3-4 books in a mini-series that revolves around a main couple. There are often side characters & couples that you will see develop along side the main couple. The series does have an overarching storyline that continues through all the books so it is best to read them in order. These books are also told from the POV of multiple individuals, even many of the side characters or members of previous highlighted coupled. Each chapter clearly identifies who is telling their story so it is easy to follow.

This is the last book for Margo and Negal’s story, but I suspect we will catch more parts of their story as the books go on. We are still on the cruise ship and I can’t wait to see where the next book takes up!

It’s amazing that this series is still fresh and interesting to me. I’m repeatedly re-reading the books and I still enjoy the story lines - after 82 books I am surprised by this! This author has taken her readers all over the world with many different antagonists and many different solutions for each couple. I enjoy the side stories as much as the main stories and like how characters from earlier books return to the story line. I believe the worst part of this series is waiting for the newest release.

If you are reading this far into the series you like these books & understand the basic formula. There are the usual character, the current gods, their mates & a few new characters being introduced that I can only assume hint at future books. I enjoy how the story always progresses with a new twist. This does not disappoint. Actually the first few pages I was a bit disappointed but knew that the hook would be there & it did not disappoint. So much going on, can we have the next one now?

Negal and Margo

This great story continues with only a few more days on the cruise and yet seems as though there is always trouble finding the clan. Dormants, Gods, inductions and transitions, OH MY!!!! There are hints as to what I believed happened to Khiann in the beginning. If the Fates are kind, they will let Annani find her one true mate. Perhaps the new Gods can locate him.

I love this series, but Margo is so obnoxious to read, and the cruise is just not it for me. There is too much jumping around to other characters and their love story is so abrupt and boring. Sometimes I feel like I need a cheat sheet with character names so I can remember who is who from previous books and how they are all related, as I am often confused! I'm going to keep reading this series, but this book took me a while to finish, and I haven't started the next one yet, I need a break.

Third book of Margo and Negal's story

Where do I begin? There was a lot of action in these 3 books. New people which means more story lines in the future. Quite a bit of action, intrigue and twists continue in the third book. It was great to see it all play out. I am curious what happens with Jasmine. I hope we see more of Peter and Marina in future books.

Cliffhangers Galore!!

As Always we have been given a multifaceted installment of the world of the Dark Gods! The cliffhangers have cliffhangers this time and I as always am very eager for the next book. The world tapestry created here is getting larger and more complex with each book, yet it remains cohesive, believable, and wonderful.

If pains me to say this but this was not one of your better books. It was actually rather boring. Nothing happened. There was a possibility that something may happen eventually but that was about it. It felt like it was just a space filler. I'm sure the next one will be better. Your writing was good as usual and it was very familiar. That's about all I can say.

Dark Horizon: The Witching Hour

So much excitement and many twists and turns in this latest story of Margo and Negal. I’m glad to see the 3 women BFF’s have had their stories and are now off on to a new adventure. It’s Jasmin’s turn next and although many suspect her dormant status, only time will tell who she meets and is induced into the transition.

Always an adventure

I highly recommend this series. They are well written, depth of character, intrigue, and romance. Add hot romance. Can't believe this series hasn't been picked up for a series. What are they waiting for. The adventure continues and grows exponentially with each new book in the series.

I enjoy this series a lot. This one had some interesting things going on and it kept my attention. I am always glad when the next book in the series comes out. the female characters are sometimes rather lame. I did not like Margo much.
