1 FAILED ALPHA STAR

I hated this book so much!
I can't even say anything nice about it.

SPOILERS AHEAD READ AND BE WARNED!

Disclaimer: my opinion is of the unpopular variety.

First off the heroine Lily is forced to raises her baby girl alone while he stands by the bitch slut he knowingly had sex right before the heroine.
Like gross or what! Then he breaks up with her over text after he took her virginity.
So you may ask yourself what does she do when she see him at the park some years later? After she is dismissed from his life and treated like garbage? Left to raise his bastardized daughter with no support?
Well she is just says its all good I understand you couldn't support me (the aka woman you supposed to love, your one and only) because hey you were too busy whoring about town with your slut wife and her child of manipulation. (Or other stupid nonsense to this effect).
NO GROVEL AT ALL!
She just takes him back!
No spine here!
This "loving" hero gave this OW bitch everything, while the poor put upon heroine suffered for his selfishness along with his daughter.
F*CK that!!! No way.
Then, the crazy ex pulls out her hair makes her lose her job and tries to sell her daughter to a child sex slaver, yeah I know!
Wow really!??? The worst is that he kept being nice and sweet to his ex because of his son Jax.
Meanwhile, endangering the lives of his daughter and Lily. But that's all good she loves him!!! Selfish asshole!
But what really got me pissed me off, is that he never never got to experience having a child with the woman he loves!!!!
I am sorry this book sucks.
It's disappointment in every aspect for me.
Think about this: if she had not had this chance encounter at the park would they even be together???
HE DID NOT EVEN TRY TO FIND HIS TRUE LOVE AFTER HIS DIVORCE!
THIS TO ME IS NOT BOOM HERE.

I at least thought he would like a chance to make it up to her.
He is such a weak hero that it killed me to read his character as a part of this series!!!
THIS IS A MISS FOR ME!
Oh and to top it all she was a Virgin and had only him as a lover!! While he slept with is wife and who knows who else BECAUSE HE IS A MANWHORE!
That was the whole reason he got into this mess. He could not keep it zipped!
Everyone seems to overlook the fact that he wanted to have sex with this bitch.
God I wished I could have given it negative stars because I was so disappointed.
I really wanted to love this book. ;(
No need for safety as this is the most unsafe book written by ARR.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.

I don't even know where to start. There are SO many things I didn't like about this book. I'm afraid if I point them out I'll never finish this review.

Okay, how about if we start off with the fact that Cash breaks up with Lily a day after he took her virginity. No explanations, no excuses, straight to the point, "we're done, bye."
Ouch. So much for her being 'the one'

Then, Lily finds out she's pregnant. The fact that she's 19 and has no car, money, and is living off a scholarship, AND doesn't freak out that she's going to be a single mom? Give me a break.
Having a baby is a huge deal especially if you're doing it on your own. She takes it so cooly as if she just found out she needs to take an extra class.

Add four years later, Lily is in the park with her daughter and sees Cash with Jax (his son) and automatically Cash knows Ashlyn is his daughter. This little girl must look identical to Cash ( who knows, the author gives so little details.) Anyway, again, Lilly takes it so cooly to see him.
Am I the only one who was angry that she doesn't do anything? The dude texted you saying to abort your baby? (Yeah yeah later on he says he didn't do it but whatever)

Then, Cash fresh as a lettuce, decides its time to take Lily back again. God, the nerve this guy. So Lily is an object you can drop and pick up whenever the hell you want?
Someone shoot me.
Here's what pisses me off the most. Lily is a freaking doormat that takes it all. He wanted her back and she's okay with it. He says he loves her and she says back.

This is where I stopped-- when they got back together. About the seven or eight chapter. I can't stand that she's too passive and she never pushes back.

It just wasn't my cup of tea, onto something better.

I’ve really enjoyed reading the ‘Until’ series. Both Until November and Until Trevor were fantastic books. I am very happy to say that Until Lilly was even better! For sure my favorite in the series (so far!)

Cash and Lilly have history. When they met, they fell hard. Cash knew right away that Lilly was the one for him. Unfortunately, life got in the way. Cash was left to make an impossible decision and the choice he made took Lilly away from him. It also gave him his son, Jaxon who he loves more than life. He is away from his crazy ex, has custody of his son, life is good. Or as good as it can be without Lilly.

After Cash left Lilly, she was devastated. Then, she found out she was pregnant. With Cash’s baby. Due to a certain someone, Lilly was left pregnant, alone, and finishing school as a single mother. Her life isn’t perfect, but she wouldn’t trade her daughter for the world. She’s never ‘gotten over’ Cash, but she’s gotten used to being alone.

When Cash see’s Lilly with a little girl that looks identical to his son, he is shocked. When he finds out what happened all those years ago, he’s going to do whatever it takes. He’s has to win Lilly back and get his family together.

 photo 8e010b6d-452e-4247-82c4-22979e8a85a2_zpsde12ee7b.jpg
Lilly is someone who I will never take for granted, because I know how it feels to be without her and the light that she brings to my life.

Cash is determined to make Lilly his. She was his once, she loved him once, he knows he can get her to fall for him again. Lilly doesn’t want to go there with Cash. She’s afraid. He broke her once, she’s not sure if she can go through that kind of heart ache again. She wants her daughter to know her father and brother, so she spends a lot of time with Cash. She wants to hate him, but she can’t.
“Why can’t I hate you?” Her words are quiet, and I can hardly make them out.
I whisper into her ear before kissing her under it, “Because I am your one, too.”

 photo 88589fe1-1c51-49ac-a39a-9c573c12baf3_zps84905061.jpg

The more time Lilly and Cash spend together as a family, the more Lilly see’s how great it really could be for the four of them. It’s not even a matter of falling back into love with Cash. How could it be? She never stopped loving him to begin with. He wants to build something with her. Something real and true. How can she resist...
“I know we have a lot to work on, and I know that it’s going to take time for us to rebuild what was broken, but I also know that if we do, we will have something that is beyond anything that either of us thought possible.”

What is it about those Mayson brothers??? Ah! I love them all! Cash Mayson is a special kind of guy. He’s a devoted father, loving, kind, but also possessive, dominant and that wonderful alpha male we all love. Did I mention he was super duper hot and sexy... because he is!
"You have the perfect ass babe."
"What?" I breathe, feeling goose bumps form across my skin.
"I can't wait to get my hands on it and turn it red, so please, try to piss me off. It will just get me what I want faster."

Then there is Lilly. 100% my favorite heroine of the series so far. Her strength, loving and forgiving nature, and the way she was with Jax. It made me love her that much more.

 photo 286df4fe-ca34-451d-bc58-4ceecd12c489_zpsf5010a32.jpg

I am a sucker for second chance romances. This wasn’t your typical story line, which I liked. There are more elements at play. The kids made me laugh and smile. Cash made me swoon. I was engaged from start to finish.
The only thing I didn’t love was that damn ex of Cash’s. She infuriated me. An entire new breed of crazy. Was there maybe a little excessive/over the top drama from the bat shit crazy ex? Yes. Was it enough to take away from my 5 star rating? Hell no!

I say this is my favorite in the series so far, because I am very intrigued by the tattooed bad boy Nico Mayson...
“I found my boom. I had no fucking clue that returning a lost phone would lead me to her, but I fucking found her.”
After reading the sneak peek to Nico’s book- I’m excited!!!

A second chance at your first love, family, loyalty, high on the steam and thoroughly entertaining. This book was a winner for me. A highly recommend book from a highly recommend series!

I'm going to make you fall in love with me again.

Now I have a confession to make here.
*whispers* I didn't like book 1.
*Ducks for flying tomatoes*
Now now, don't get all judgy with me here. I loved the set up and idea behind the book. I just wasn't big on the delivery. As in, the heroine drove me slightly batty. The 2nd book was better, but there was still something missing for me.

Now you're probably sitting there and thinking to yourself, why is this crazy bitch reading book 3 when she wasn't thrilled about the first 2? Well because I knew that the first two books the author was still coming into her own as a writer, but I loved where the series was heading. Possessive, slightly domineering, sexy as hell alpha male brothers?

Well after writing this book, I'm pretty sure the author thought

Because everything that bothered me in the first two books was nowhere to be found here. I LOVED IT.

I'm a sucker for a second chance romance, and this one delivered it in spades!

Four years ago Lilly and Cash met by chance at a coffee shop. And as in true Mayson brothers fashion, that's all the time Cash needed to know that Lilly is his "one". They date and finally share an amazing night together...only for things to fall apart the very next day.

Cash is head over heals for Lilly, but when his crazy ex (hookup, fuck buddy?) comes back with the news that she's pregnant he has no other choice but to do the right thing and be there for his baby. So he makes the ultimate sacrifice, breaking not only his own heart but Lilly's in the process.

When Lilly receives Cash's cold text message that it's over between them, it's the last thing she expects. The fact that she is now pregnant and Cash is not at all the man she though he was is not an easy pill to swallow. But she knows what she has to do for her unborn baby, and that's stay strong and move on, raising her baby as a single mom.

Now years later when their paths cross again, can Cash win Lilly's heart once more or is the damage he did between them irreparable?

The one thing I really love about Aurora's alpha males, is when they see the woman they want they go after her with all the grace of a speeding train. Nothing gets in their way. They know what they want, and they will have it. Cash knows that he will stop at nothing to win Lilly back, he just needs to prove to her that he's not the man she thinks he is.

And I forgive you, Cash. I definitely approve of your methods in making up for lost time.

But it wasn't all hot sexy loving. (Which I will never have too much of in these books) I absolutely loved seeing the romance grow between Lilly and Cash. Cash was this perfect combination of dirty talking alpha male and sweet.

There was also the added element of Cash's psycho ex to keep things interesting. And let me tell you...Jules?

Talk about your crazy bitches. Good lord. The things that she did had me screaming at my kindle in the middle of an empty room.

You know how sometimes there are these characters that just make you want to take off your earrings, put on your ass kicking boots, take out a baseball bat, jump into your kindle and beat the ever loving hell out of them? Well, Jules was that character for me.

I wish that Lilly had stood up to her, but that never really happened. Luckily Cash and his family really came through in that.

But gah! Jules!

Let me end this before I go off on another Jules tangent here. I adored this book. The second chance love story, the added element of their kids together, catching up with the rest of the Mason brothers, it was fantastic.

You get your scorching hot sex scenes with a great story and I for one cannot wait for Nico's book...especially after the teaser in this one.

If you liked the first two books, you will love this one. And if you're like me and the first two books weren't that great for you, then read this one and you will change your mind about the series. Aurora Rose Reynolds is definitely an auto buy author for me after this one.

I freaking LOVED.EVERY.SINGLE.MINUTE.OF.THIS!!!!!!!!

So I love Asher, I even Loved Trevor, BUT I ABSOLUTELY Loved Cash, this one is my favorite so far. Aurora just continues to make me sit here dying for the next one in this series. I will be forever a Mayson Boys Fan!!!!!

We first heard a little bit about Cash and Lilly in Until Trevor and I was dying to get my hands on this one. Well let me tell you Aurora did not disappoint me at all. I LOVED every single minute of this one. When Cash and Lilly first met they fell hard for each other. Cash knew that Lilly was his one. Cash had end things after he made a life altering decision. Although he lost Lilly he gained a son Jaxson. Cash would do anything to protect his son even keep him from his useless ex who wants nothing to do with Jaxson.

Lilly although she was devastated when Cash up and left her, she had to keep going with life because she found out she was pregnant. After trying to call Cash to tell him and not being able to talk to him directly she is left on her own with her pregnancy. Ashlyn became Lilly’s life and she has done everything in her power to be a single mom and provide for her daughter.
“Why can’t I hate you?” Her words are quiet, and I can hardly make them out.

I whisper into her ear before kissing her under it, “Because I am your one, too.”

When Cash runs into Lilly at a playground with Jaxson he is shocked to see her with a little girl who looks exactly like his son. Cash vows then that he will do whatever he has to do to get Lilly and his daughter back into his life.

"I’m going to make you fall in love with me again."

Lilly is someone who I will never take for granted, because I know how it feels to be without her and the light that she brings to my life.

Their road to their second chance is not an easy one for them. They are met with obstacles along the way including Cash’s crazy ex-wife. She is one woman I that if I could have reached through my kindle and bitch slapped her I would have done it in a heartbeat.

“I know we have a lot to work on, and I know that it’s going to take time for us to rebuild what was broken, but I also know that if we do, we will have something that is beyond anything that either of us thought possible.”

Lilly is afraid to open her heart again to Cash, and Cash refuses to take no for an answer from Lilly. I truly loved how Aurora brought together their second chance romance story.

The kids I ABSOLULTEY loved Ashlyn and Jaxson. Those two kids were awesome, funny, and had me laughing more than once throughout the story.

Kudos to you Aurora for not disappointing me and giving me another Awesome Mayson Boy to read about. I cannot wait for Nico’s story (hint, hint….. I’ll take it as soon as you hit end) LOL
Ohh Yeahhh!!! I know what I am reading tonight!!!! Going to get me some Cash and Lily LOVES !!!!!!

I AM SO EXCITED !!!!!! Half way through Trevor and I knew I wanted the next one to be Cash and Lilly !!!!!!

I NEED More Cash and Lilly NOW Please Aurora !!!!!!

Self note:

Manwhore MMC who knocked up his ex and married said ex.

He broke things off with the FMC, who was pregnant at the same time. She only found out after their breakup, texted him about it, but received a reply to terminate it (MMC didn't send it, though).

He was married to the OW for some years during their separation. Tried to make it work, but they ended up divorced. And of course, the FMC stayed celibate because, God forbid, she found someone else.

Five years later, they met, and she took him back without so much groveling on his part.

Overall Opinion: This was better than I thought it would be. To be honest, some of the reviews I read really turned me off of this -- but I am really happy that I tried out the audiobook and gave it a shot! I actually liked it so much that I downloaded the ebook because the little bit of the audiobook I got wasn't enough! I just want to clarify in a spoiler something that is portrayed inaccurately in some reviews... I am usually not one to criticize so I'm not going to point fingers, but for those potential readers out there I just want you to know that it isn't as bad as it has been made out to be! I enjoyed it. I think that some of the OW drama was a little OTT, so that was the main reason for my deduction of the .25 points ;)

Brief Summary of the Storyline: This is Lilly and Cash's story. They meet one day in a coffee shop, and Cash knows instantly that she is his "one" (or boom) and pursues her. They have a whirlwind romance, but it is cut short when Cash finds out that a woman from his past is pregnant with his child. They are separated, and when they are reunited Cash is shocked to find out that Lilly had his daughter. They work to get over past wrongs and blend their new families together as their feelings for one another had never changed. There is a good bit of ex drama, but they do get a HEA in the end.

POV: This alternated between Lilly and Cash's POV.

Overall Pace of Story: Good. I never skimmed, and I thought it flowed well.

Instalove: No. They take a while to develop feelings, but those feeling return right away when reunited.

H rating: 4 stars. Cash. I felt really bad for the situation he was in with his ex, and I liked him and the Dad he was to his children.

h rating: 4 stars. Lilly. I liked her, but I did wish that she made the H work a little harder when they are reunited (even though the H wasn't at fault).

Sadness level: Low. No tissues needed.

Push/Pull: Yes

Heat level: Moderate. They have some good scenes, but it doesn't take away from the storyline.

Descriptive sex: Yes

Safe sex: Yes.

OW/OM drama: Yes

Sex scene with OW or OM: No

Cheating: No

Separation: Yes

Possible Triggers: Yes

Closure: This had a great jump ahead epilogue with a HEA ending.

How I got it: I got the audiobook with my scribed subscription, and I ended up paying the $3.99 on Amazon for the ebook.

Safety: I'd call this one Safe with exception

4.5--Best of the Series So Far--Stars!!!

Loved it!!!

Aurora Rose Reynolds has managed to write some of the most kick ass book boyfriends....all brothers.

They are cavemen, they are possessive, they are OTT, and they are

Cash was no exception, though he was probably the tamest of the three so far. But gah I would take a Mayson brother A-N-Y day!

Cash and Lilly first meet at a coffee shop. They live two hours apart and spend as much time as they can together. After Lilly gives Cash her virginity.....she gets a call from him that he can't see her anymore.

Turns out that before Cash met Lilly he managed to get the biggest bitch on the planet pregnant.

But Cash being the perfection that he is, tries to do right by Jules and his soon to be son. He lets "his one" go and marries Jules and tries to make it work for their son Jax.

Needless to say, Jules' bitch factor knows no bounds and they end up divorced and she has little to do with their son. Three years later, a chance encounter brings Lilly back in to Cash's life.

Lilly was so understanding and forgiving of what happened. Cash was just trying to do right by Jax even if it hurt Lilly in the process and meant he didn't get to know his daughter Ashlyn.

Cash is determined to not make the same mistake twice and he vows to make it up to Lilly, if he has to spend the rest of his life trying.

Jules

Seriously, could you have been a more heinous bitch???

The only real angst in this book, revolved around Jules trying to get in between Cash and Lilly. The rest of the book was a smoking hot love fest.

Full of hearts and flowers and rainbows and unicorns!

I could of done without the whole but whatever...it didn't really take away from the story.

Another great addition to the series, my favorite to date. Bring on Nico!!!

Feel the BOOM of my hand slapping Zero in the face and then the BOOM of shaking Zeroine, to see if her brain starts working!

Zero is a manwhore that does not keep the pants zipper closed. He has sex indiscriminately, having a hole and breathing he is in the game. The woman who got pregnant was after someone from his family, any of them, and even though he knew that he still had sex with the bitch.
He disposed of Zeroine as yesterday's garbage and never contacted to see if she was alive or dead. He built a life with the bitch and their son and tried to make the marriage work.
Even after the divorce he never sought out Zeroine. It was by chance that they met again and Zeroine did not need persuasion to accept Zero back. As a friendly reviewer says, this Zeroine is a waste of hair spray. Without a backbone and a look from Zero is enough for her to lose her panties and spread her legs for him. The icing on the cake is that she got celibate taking care of their daughter, while he played house and had sex with the bitch.
Minus 1 star.

------------
The heroine accepts all too easily, and the hero is still jealous of alleged relationships that she may have had.
And he married a bitch and still tried to make the marriage work? WTF!
The heroine is too passive and without personality ... just some kissing that she's dropping the panties...

Either a whole bunch of my GR friends are crazy, or I'm the most hard-to-please bitch in existence and I should just give up reading contemporary romances. Something is definitely up, and it ain't me, beyotches!

Now I'm assuming you should read Lily in series order, which would make this book 3. I didn't, not sure if that makes any difference, so I'm just going to tell it as I see it for this story

Let's just be honest, this whole novel is unbelievably weak, in my opinion, the dialogue is abysmal, plot development nonexistent. and any sniff of dramatic tension is extinguished by waves of implausibility. I really didn't like it, but even if everything else was passable, Lily's lack of backbone would have had me giving this 1star regardless. This could have been a great set up of a jilted woman being left to raise a kid alone, but only a few pages gets spent on this and spent really badly. Instead we see them reconcile without a single raised word. Good for them. Not so fun for the me, the reader.

★★★★ 4 stars!

Until Lilly has been one of my most anticipated releases since the moment I read the first chapter/teaser of it at the back of Until Trevor, the previous book in this series. Needless to say, I had high expectations of Cash and Lilly's story and after having read their story, I can honestly say it did not disappoint.

“Why can’t I hate you?” Her words are quiet, and I can hardly make them out.

I whisper into her ear before kissing her under it, “Because I am your one, too.”

When Cash was forced to choose between the love of his life and his unborn son, he chose the latter. As heart wrenching as it was to leave Lilly behind, he did what he had to do to be a present and responsible father to his child. Now, four years later, neither Cash nor Lilly have gotten over one another. They've tried to built up a normal life and move on from their heartbreak over losing each other but when they unexpectedly run into each other, at a kid's play hall no less, those old feelings move right back to the surface.

But after all those years of heartbreak and hurt feelings, will they ever be able to go back to the way they were before? Or will old enemies, once again, interfere and prevent them from giving their love a second chance?

Sweet, sexy with a (pretty huge) touch of drama and lots of endearing moments, Until Lilly was once again a successful addition to the Until-series. So far I've enjoyed every single one of the books in this series but I think this one might be my favorite. I'm a sucker for heartbreak, dramatics and second chances when it comes to books that still have a happy ending and Cash and Lilly's story was definitely one that had all those ingredients in spades. And the side characters of the adorably cute Jax and Ashlyn made the story all the more fun to read!

Still, I have very high expectations for Nico's story as well so I'll be anxiously awaiting the release of the fourth and final book in this series!

I originally skipped over this story after reading a review wherein some unpleasant things were said about our hero, Cash. While some of the things were true, context really does matter for me so I decided to give this a shot. I don’t regret my decision.

Cash definitely made some mistakes that didn’t endear him to me but he was really in a bad position. Once he reconnected with Lilly, however, there was nothing coming between them. I wasn’t a fan of her seemingly too easy acquiesce to him and his wiles but she’s always loved the guy so it’s understandable.

All in all I definitely liked him more than Trevor, who I can’t stand, and it made for an entertaining read. He’s no Asher or Nico but he’ll do :)

My Lilly...

My Cash...

description

This is a beautiful second chance love story. Cash fell in love with Lilly after meeting in a coffee shop. They start to build a healthy relationship until one of Cash's conquests from the past ends up pregnant. Cash feels like he needs to do right by Jules and his future son, so he cuts ties with Lilly without much of an explanation. Lilly ends up becoming pregnant after Cash had taken her virginity and tries to get a hold of him to let him know that she is pregnant. Some unfortunate issues and miscommunication lead to a heartbreaking end to their relationship.

I don't think I've cried so much at the beginning of a book than what I did in this story. Ugly, sobbing, mess! I felt so bad for Lilly!

description

Luckily, fate leads Cash and Lilly back together three years later and from here we get to see their relationship spark to life and build back to the inferno these two used to have in the past.

I will say that, one issue I normally have with second chance romance books, is when certain couples spend so much time trying to rebuild their trust due to their misunderstandings & miscommunication in the past, that the overall story is affected by the stubbornness and lack of forgiveness by one or both of the characters.

This is not that type of story! Loved both Lilly and Cash. They had their issues in the past, including many misunderstandings, however they were able to talk about their problems from the very beginning and forgive one another. This allows the reader to see their story unfold and it is quite beautiful.

Most of the drama, occurs with the help of Cash's other baby mama, Jules. What the hell was wrong with her anyways? I knew the bitch was crazy from Until Trevor, but I did not know the bitch was that crazy. She needs a padded cell and some medication, because she is not right in the head. She was a major participant in causing a lot of drama for both Cash and Lilly.

description

Yes...she did, and she is whacked out. Luckily, her drama made Cash & Lilly's relationship that much stronger. I have only one thing to say to you Jules...

description

But what I loved about this story is that no matter how difficult their lives became because of Jules, Cash and Lilly remained true to one another and their relationship never wavered. I love when couples do not succumb to the stupidity & jealousy of others, & in this story that was mainly, Jules.

description

I was truly sad to see their story end because I loved it that much! The epilogue was also a fabulous addition to their story! I loved that it was actually . So good & funny I might add!!

Seriously though, I love this author! Aurora, you are freaking awesome!! I love the whole Until series, and cannot wait for Sophie & Nico's story!! You know how to write a great male character! Bring on more of the Mayson men!!

I kind of wish I had read the first book after reading book 2 and 3. Asher's (1st Book) book was perfection. Books 2 and this book started off on the wrong foot for me. I know why Cash dumped Lilly in the beginning but it just sat wrong with me. I'm a single mom and I know what it's like to have no help raising a child, so it not something that I can easily dismiss. Especially for the reason she got left on her own. If I take that out of the equation, I did like these two when they finally get back together. BUT...then his ex caused so many problems with Lilly and they were serious problems. I just felt like she got screwed. I need another Asher book and I hope Nico's will provide that.

***4 I ♥ Cash Mayson Stars***

Hands down my favorite of the series so far.

This one felt more realistic, had more feeling and was a more well-rounded story.

Years ago, Lilly and Cash's lives intersected.

My darling Cash...he had to make a horrible decision. Neither would give him 100% what he wanted, but he had to do what he felt was right.

Lilly was left with a big ol' slice of "Life's Not Fair" pie. She picked herself up and did the best she could with the cards she was abruptly dealt.

By accident, their paths cross again....life is a bit different now for both Cash and Lilly. Can true love be given a second chance? Can they have the life that was taken away from them by Cash's vindictive, baby mama Jules?

Can I just say that Jules was quite the piece of crazy work! That woman was full of so much ugly, bitter jealousy. She didn't care who she hurt, who she stepped on or who was around to hear her selfish and vile words.

I tried to sympathize with Cash on why he kept trying with her...but I would have given up long ago. The only thing that crazy bitch would be getting from me would be

ESPECIALLY her last fucking stunt! I mean seriously?!?! I'm pretty sure if I could have reached into my Kindle, I would have ripped that bitch apart!

I think my favorite thing about this book is that the situation that ripped Cash and Lilly apart years ago wasn't a lingering factor. ARR could have decided to draw this drama out for pages on end, making Cash grovel for forgiveness or have Lilly not believe Cash about his knowledge of what happened with her....but she didn't. Outside factors were constantly throwing wrenches in their lives, but not once did you doubt the love.

"Lilly, your kind of sweet is hard to come by, so when you get even just a little taste of it, you want more. I'm saying that as a man who knows."

Overall, this book was a story about family, love and second chances. Two people who were given a second chance to have the life they should have started years ago.

But don't you worry......mixed right in there with all this mushy awesomeness is the Mayson sex drive you come to know and love. I'd take a Cash Mayson punishment any time.

And there you have it.

Considerably my fave book in the series.

No whiny h. No arrogant H. No nosy secondary characters. No excessive dramatic plot.

Lilly…

Woman, I salute you.

Cash…

Respect, man.

My admiration turns a hundred fold for both of you.

But what’s most wonderful about this book is the storyline. Not every day I come across unusual complication such as this. Moreover, this book portrays how parents should be in order to give importance to what matters most – family.

Five-Salute-Stars.

Now, off to book 4.

4 Cash Lovin' Stars! This book was worth the wait!

 photo excited_zpsca072db4.gif

Oh how I love these Mayson brothers! I'm so fickle with my love for them. First I loved Asher. Then Trevor came along and it was instant lust which means I had to let Asher go. Swoonworthy Cash with his all consuming sexy talk had me saying "Trevor who?" in no time.

Cash knew instantly that Lilly was his true love but circumstances beyond his control arose and he had to make a tough decision. He broke Lilly's heart and stopped all contact. Four years later many things have changed when their paths cross. This time Cash was determined to not let her get away.

 photo brulianicon4_zpse20ecb23.png

Cash and Lilly's story had a really romantic feel to it. I loved that a lot of story was devoted to just Cash and Lilly recapturing their love for each other and making up for lost time. Their chemistry was amazing!

Jax and Ashlyn completely melted my heart.

 photo girlandboyholdinghands_zps56e9088b.jpg

It was such treat to have two adorable children play a big part in this story. They helped create a beautiful family unit.

Of course there is a crazy ex-wife trying her best to create all sorts of drama and chaos. I admit I wished Lilly would have had the opportunity to give Jules a good beat down a few times.

It's always a delight to have the rest of the Mayson family involved in the storyline. They are such a fun group who love each other and have each other's back.

My only small nitpicking issue was the grammatical errors in places.

Side note: Aurora Reynolds you are such a tease! Giving a sneak peak into Nico's story makes me think this delicious badboy is going to melt my heart.

BRING IT ON!

5 Second Chance Stars!

Four years ago Cash made the hardest decision of his life: give up on the love of his life in order to protect the life of his unborn child. He unwisely hooked up with an evil bitch and she forced him to be with her in order to keep the pregancy. He chooses his unborn child but losing Lilly means losing a part of himself along with it.
Now, divorced from his crazy ex-wife and with full custody of Jax, he coincidently runs into Lily again, only to find out that when he left Lilly, he also left a daughter behind.

description

This time Cash is not willing to let the love of his life go away... Or his kids for that matter. He wants he's family and he's decided to do everything in his power to keep it.
But when their pasts and the secrets and lies that kept them apart are brought back, how will Cash win this fight?

description

Rating: 5 Stars.
Storyline: A beautiful and emotional love story about redemption and second chances. One of the most heartwarming stories I've read lately.
Writing Style: First person, dual POV. Addictive and absolutely engaging.
Character Development: I loved Cash!! Probably my favorite Mayson brother so far. He goes after what he wants, isn't afraid to fight or apologize and like the others is the perfect alpha male. Lilly was also amazing, I loved how forgiving she was and the golden heart she has. She was amazing with both kids and Cash. Jax and Ashlyn were the cutest little things.
Steam: Hot.

The hero is a stupid coward

The heroine is pathetic

SPOILER ALERTS!

He tells her he loves her, takes Lilly's virginity and dumps her two days later because one of his former booty calls is over 3 months pregnant with his kid

He enters a relationship with the bitch and then marries her because she threatens abortion

BUT IN MOST STATES ABORTION IS ILLEGAL AFTER 3 MONTHS

and after that . . . it gets really freaking expensive (thousands of dollars) and after 4 months it's even harder to get an abortion and after 5 months a doctor won't do it unless it's for a valid medical reason

SO, his excuses are bullshit and LAME!

But he later admits that after he dumped the poor heroine, he DID care about the bitch who got knocked up on purpose and he tried to make a real relationship with her

WHICH Basically means that he had sex with his new wife, had good times and wasn't pining too hard over the heroine.

This guy is such a winner!

MEANWHILE . . . our poor heroine was knocked up by the hero also and struggled through pregnancy and single parenthood alone.

She tried to tell the hero she was pregnant with his kid, but the bitch he married sent mean texts pretending to be the hero saying she should get an abortion. Then the heroine found out he married someone else.

So, she never tried to contact him again, which is totally reasonable in her situation

After his first baby was born, his new wife turned into a crazy bitch and he eventually divorced her (I guess he was done "caring" about his bitch wife and it wasn't so fun fucking her anymore at this point)

Did he then try to get in contact with the heroine? Who is supposedly his "One"?

NOPE

YEARS PASS . . . .

And our H and h run into each other

He's full of his bullshit excuses

She readily accepts his bullshit excuses

Like I said, he's a stupid coward and she's pathetic

So I was told to read this book a long time ago, because I am a sucker for single dads. OMG, for real, this story I am in LOVE! Lilly and Cash are by far my favorite in the series. I loved Ashlyn and Jax, just as much!

If you want an EPIC love story about unconditional love and forgiveness, this is it!!

I went back to re-read this one, as I've liked all her other books, but I still don't like this one and only got half way. I still couldn't figure out how old the kids were supposed to be. They acted older than the toddlers they were said to be (less than 3), but if Cash left Jules 3 years ago, they Would be a bit older. I still think Cash is a coward and now I have to say he's TSTL as well. There were so many things he could have done differently concerning Jules. He couldn't even stand up to the chick. It really killed the attraction for me and the sex fell flat after that... what a wuss!
Well I enjoyed the first two books of this series, and was worried about reading this one when I read the premise. I found some of the trials the heroine went through so contrived and unrealistic that it hurt the story for me.
I also found it so out of character how the family behaved towards Lilly in the first part of the book. I mean, they knew about her from before. It's not like she was a secret and they didn't have issues with her then.
Plus I just couldn't forgive the hero for hooking up with the b-with-an-itch for any length of time. There are strange contradictions in the timeline of his and her relationship during Lilly's absence that are hard to ignore. I know stories like this require a certain amount of suspension of disbelief, but this was just too hard for me to swallow. That he was divorced for years without looking for Lilly was unforgivable too. His reasons for not looking her up were cowardly. So I can't help but see him as the weakest of the brothers.
I still plan to read the next one though. Every author has a blip now and then and for me this kind of plot is always a hard sell anyways.

5 second chance stars!

When we got a glimpse into how Lilly & Cash’s story was going to unfold in Until Trevor, I knew that this was going to be a flippin’ fantastic story and a great addition to one of my favorite series.

In one moment Cash knew he had met the one, in three short months he knew he would love her until he took his last breath. But it isn’t until four years later that he gets his second chance to win back what he was forced to lose.

When the Lilly meets Cash, the last thing she wants to be is another woman that he simply beds and moves on from. Falling in love with him was one of the easiest things she had ever done, falling out of love with him would soon prove to be impossible.

When the she-bitch makes him chose between his child and Lilly, he makes the only choice he can. He picks his son, Jax, but that marriage made in hell didn’t last long and Cash finally got his son and his freedom. Now four years later when he sees her again, it’s not just Lilly that he sees. A little girl that is standing at her side, a little girl he never knew he had, Ashlyn.

He let her slip through his fingers once and now that he has his second chance at love with the only girl he’s ever loved there is no way he is going to let her go.

Together, Lilly and Cash navigate falling in love again, raising their children and having to deal with the ex that just won’t go away.

I have absolutely loved every single one of the Mayson boys, each one gives you just something so different but they each share similar traits. I loved that Cash knew he could push but that he had to not be too forceful, there was pain that lingered between them and Cash was patient when needed.

The way Cash was with his kids was so touching, so many moments where his heart just swelled from what he finally had, what he nearly lost... it was just utterly beautiful. Lilly was such a perfect heroine! She had so many reasons to act out given the way their relationship had ended, raising her daughter alone for the last four years and thinking that Cash knew all along and didn’t want them. But she was not, she loved him and even though she wanted to protect her heart, she never tried to keep him out.

Aurora Rose Reynolds has created this stunning cast of hot, over the top alpha males that are completely lovable. We get a peek at Nico’s boom moment and it gives us a great lead into his book.

I loved that the epilogue gives us a glimpse into their lives not just a few months down the road but years later. Getting to see this interaction with them roughly twelve years into the future was so enjoyable.

If you have not checked out this series yet, you really should add it to your list; each story gives you a bit of drama that allows the men’s possessive streaks to come out, they are all over the top alpha males that know what they want the minute they find the one and their eyes do not wander. Man-whores that just need to find the one that makes them want to settle down. Now the wait for Nico & Sophie begins!

5 Huge Until Stars! Wowza! Totally my favorite of this series!

Cash and Lilly are damn new perfection! He is amazeballs and she rocks. A pure hot alpha male and a strong woman who enjoys every minute of what he can give!

Cash was always the bag em' and leave em quick guy...not one date, ever! A chance meeting in Alabama literally had him stumbling into a fiery red headed college gal. Game on! Full throttle Mayson male makes a happy coupling until a bit of crazy from the past catches up to Cash. Suddenly its the end...no answers to be had...just complete heartbreak. They had found each other's ONE...now it was gone!

Life has been hard to go of for both, broken hearted and lied to, manipulated by pure evil bitchery! ...only bright spot for both is the beautiful offspring that makes each day worth living. A second chance...again a chance meeting brings Cash and Lilly face to face with each other and their futures.

That love never left...everything is still there, stronger than ever. Cash will not lose his life again. He is head over heels in love with Ms Lilly and what she gives him everyday is bigger than anything he could ever imagine. Their story is beautiful...it is smoking hot...it is so damn good!

I will say that Cash Mayson has melted my kindle...his game of "naked house" may be a new fave! I have become an Aurora Rose Reynolds addict! I devoured 3 books in 2 days, and I am holding my breath for Nico's tale, but honestly I do not now if Cash Mayson can be topped!

** 12/15/16 audio reread. ...again. in anticipation of the Until Ashlyn release ...**

another Audio "reread"!!

I loved this story. I originally read this well over a year ago, before I got pickier with my books.

Cash met Lily and fell head over heels. He knew she was his "boom" and he wanted to start a life with her. Things were going great until a woman from his past tells him she's pregnant. She tells him that he either cuts off all ties with others or she will terminate the pregnancy. Cash has no choice and for the sake of his unborn child he has to break it off with Lily. He was devastated but did what he thought was best at the time, not knowing that Lily had life changing news too.

Lily was devastated by Cash's abrupt ending of their relationship. Especially after she found out she is pregnant. She texts him and the answer she gets back breaks her heart (even though we all know it wasn't him) She goes on with her life crushed because she loved him.

Fast forward 4 years. Lily runs into Cash with his son. He is angry at first because he thinks she has kept his daughter from him. Lily let's him have it. He has no idea what she is talking about. Cash heart has been broken over losing lily before and he knows that he was never letting her or their child out of his sight.

I was heartbroken when Cash broke it off with Lily even though I understood why. I did not like that he attempted to make his marriage work with the ex wife because he didn't love her and she was holding their son over his head. I also felt he could have been more apologetic for all that Lily went through. He did go above and beyond once they were back together. He was alpha-licious and took charge of the relationship. He would NOT lose the love of his life a second time.

Jules, the mother of his son, was a psycho bitch and made their lives hell.

Review
I loved it!! I loved the premise of the story and the journey Ms. Reynolds took me on.  I can’t say whether this is my favorite in the series or not….I am bass ackwards and started from the end….but now that I read this book…I’m definitely going back and reading about Cash’s brothers!

Ms. Reynolds had the ability to transport me into the story and follow along with Lilly and Cash….I felt Lilly’s pain with that text message she received…hence my FU updates towards Cash….I held my breath when Cash and Lilly set eyes on each other at the play gym for the kids….

Why only 4 stars instead of 5?  I guess it had to do with Jules and Cash ---- if Cash knew what Jules was capable of then why didn’t he protect Lilly and the kids better.  It broke my heart that Jax had to go through that pain of having a womb donor who only used him to manipulate Cash.  I also had a problem with the reason why Jules did something at the end of the story….it was a bit of a shocker.

In no way shape or form did I subtract stars for the writing ability of Ms. Reynolds…I’m telling you that woman can write – she can write a scene and it smoothly and effortlessly plays in front of your eyes!  I empathized with Lilly – I fell in love with Lilly and the strong heroine she portrayed in this story.  She was truly my hero!

Re-Cap
Cash and Lilly have a brief encounter and relationship but they fall hard and fall fast.  But does every rainbow have a pot of gold at the end?  HELL NO….and just like a rainbow….real life comes crashing down on Cash and he must make a decision – to him he makes the best choice and ends up breaking Lilly’s heart and leaving her a single mother.

Years later, a chance meeting throws Cash and Lilly together and lo’ and behold – their little children look exactly like twins.  Cash thinks that Lilly kept his daughter a secret while Lilly has nothing but hatred toward Cash for abandoning her while pregnant.

Once Cash and Lilly find out the truth….Cash is determined to get the love of his life back – well the best he can with his annoying and bitch of an ex sticking her skanky ass in where it doesn’t belong.

Wrap-Up
Once reading this book, I have found a new author to go all “fan-girling” over….I have to go back and read her other books now!!
