As you might expect, this book is incredibly dated and the pedagogical style isn't the best so I wouldn't advice trying to learn about electricity from this series if you find it in a used bookstore or your grandpa's garage.

For me, this was mainly a walk down memory lane. I first started learning about electricity in the 70s, when books like this were common in the library, so I enjoyed leafing through it and reminiscing.

This book is fascinating not only because of it's content, but also because of the 1950's era cartoons that describe electricity to you. Well written and well drawn, this book is quite good. This particular edition does have a flaw, in that it doesn't include information on Transistors. Other than that, this book is quite excellent. Given the style of cartoons present, I can imagine a 1950's era announcer doing a dub of this book.

I found this particular copy in the Library, but if you can find it in a store or something it is pretty cool. I don't know what they updated in the later editions, but it still holds up I think, since the laws of electricity don't change at all from year to year. Certainly the stuff we can do with it has changed, but Ohm's Law, the Kirchoff Laws and others have not changed at all.
