What the hello? Am I the only one who read this book? The story overall was good, but it was ruined by the "She said no, but I know he knew she really didn't mean it" scene.

He grinned. "Kiss me."
"No."
"Then I'll have to kiss you."
"What part of no--"
Almost a foot taller than the petite, perfectly packaged helicopter pilot, Tuck bent to close the distance, sealing her mouth with his and cutting off her argument.

For a full fifteen seconds, she resisted, her hands pressing against his chest. Then her fingers curled into his shirt and she kissed him back.

This is the kind of rapey crap that I'd expect from a book written in 1970. Or a Diana Palmer novel. Writing this garbage in 2014 in acting like it's okay is ridiculous and irresponsible. No wonder men won't take us seriously, when women are still writing junk like this.

This book was okay. I did like the characters and was very happy the book was well proof-read and edited. Reed "Tuck" Tucker is a Navy Seal stationed in Afghanistan, working with Army helicopter pilot Delaney O'Connell. Tuck doesn't do relationships - his job doesn't allow him to spend enough time with anyone, and his family history has shown his love is just a word. Delaney lost a fiancé to the war and has vowed to never get involved with another military guy. But we don't get to choose who we love, right? After Tuck and Delaney have one wild night (no one knows), Tuck's teammate and BFF Reaper decides Delaney is the perfect woman and proposes to her. She doesn't want to say yes, but for some reason she can't say no....and things get out of control from there. This is where the story went off base for me. We've got an enlisted guy proposing to an officer and no one bats an eyelash, and then, even though she doesn't love him, she can't tell him no? The other thing that I didn't care for in the book were the euphemisms for body parts when Tuck and Delaney were getting it on - member, channel, nubbin.... just not sexy to me.

This was a very enjoyable read. A great military themed romance.
There was quite a lot of military terminology at the beginning which made me worry a little that the rest of the book would constantly be like that (too much technical stuff for my liking) but it was toned down further into the story.
I liked the way in which the story was written- starts with present time then switches back to past events that lead up to what is happening in the now
The ending was a pleasant surprise- there was a little twist to the ending of the story, which I didn't expect.

How does a Navy SEAL do the honorable thing and stand aside when his best friend asks the woman he loves to marry him? Secret lovers, Reed Tucker and helicopter pilot Delaney O’Connell both fear commitment, but their chemistry between the sheets is explosive. Tuck’s best friend has his eye on Delaney, too, but he thinks he’s in love and very publicly asks Delaney to marry him. On their next mission, Reaper is seriously wounded and Delaney feels obligated to support him through his recovery, going so far as to say yes to marrying him. After long nights sharing tales and cold beers with Tuck and Delaney, Reaper had no idea that these two were sharing more intimate endeavors, but after having recovered enough for Delaney to back to the front and her helicopter, their wedding seems carved in granite. Or is it? Must Delaney choose between the man she loves, who offers no future and the man she has committed to, who would give her the world if he could?? Meanwhile, Tuck is torn, can he watch Delaney marry Reaper? Only his honor gets him to the church on time to be the Best Man, but is he ready for what he finds?

Elle James can write about those hot men in uniform, clearly depicting the honor and danger they face with a sense of high tension and flip that tension into the sizzle of sensual heat with ease! She makes her characters tough, honorable and completely human, both men and women alike! SEAL’s Honor is the perfect escape from reality, because we all know that a man in uniform is hard to resist, especially with Elle James at the controls!

ARC provided by the Publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I love romance SEAL style. There is just something about the ultimate alpha falling in love that makes my heart go pitter-patter. Elle James writes a really sweet and wonderful, not to mention extremely sexy, SEAL love story.

Delaney O'Connell is an Army helicopter pilot. She is one of the best and has been conducting joint training with SEAL Team 10. She has also fallen hard for Tuck, a SEAL Lt. Tuck has commitment issues, but his best friend doesn't and Cory swoops in and declares his love for Delaney putting everyone on the spot.

As it happens, they all end up deployed in Afganistain and things go from bad to worse there. As in real war, there are casulities. and it takes nearly loosing the two people he loves for Tuck to realize that his life isn't worth anything without Delaney.

Moments away from his best friend and the girl who got away are to be married, SEAL Reed Tucker is torn with what to do. He had her in his arms and the passion between them did not lie, but Tuck was not a man to be tied down even though Delaney O'Connell challenged him in every way possible.

This was a bit of a surprise, you don't have any clue what is going to happen. Quickly paced, you feel the emotions surrounding all the characters as they leave to go on missions and the adrenaline that drives them. Excellent read.

Heaven’s only a heartbeat away.
Cream rises to the top. Seals are the cream of the armed forces and stand on the pinnacle of all Special Forces organizations. Vigorous training in all forms of combat and countless things pertinent to the business of war are constantly being exercised until everything is perfect and then do it some more. Every branch of the armed forces has their own elite units and teams from separate branches form teams for special operations.
Air Force Captain Delaney O’Connell (call name Razor) is an expert flyer and pilots an MH-60M Black Hawk. Her flight team is attached to the 160th Night Hawkers a Special Operations Aviation Regiment (SOAR), and it is training with a squad of Navy Seals. All of these warriors love respect, and would die (if necessary) for their brothers or sisters in arms. It is a simple question of honor and a vital part of their commitment. Navy Lieutenant Reed Tucker leads a six-man Seals Team 10. Tuck, Reaper, Big Bird, Fish, Dustman, and Gator (everyone has a handle) are sent to Kandahar, Afghanistan on a special mission and team up again with the 160th Night Hawkers. One of the missions was capturing of Amir Khan Muttaqi, a Taliban leader; in and out……..a piece of cake. The real problem is Razor and Tuck are in different armed forces branches, in love and one doesn’t even know the score.
This is a love (or lust) story set in the hot, blowing sands of Afghanistan. Saturated with military acronyms, it reads like a real combat story and the lusty moments between Tuck and Razor adds just enough spice.

I read this book as an ARC through net galley as part of a box collection for an honest review. Total 5 stars!

In Book 1: Tuck and Delaney have a huge problem and it is not the war. It is how to tell the man who loves you and has asked you to marry him that you love him, but not the same way and to make matters worse, you actually love his SEAL teammate? Oh, and his best friend!

The only problem I find with box collections is reviewing them, because reading them all and individually, when they are good, is nothing but pure fun! This collection is by far one of my favorites.

These stories are romantic but they also give us a glimpse and remind us of what we, as civilians, take for granted every day and that is that someone is out there losing life and limb to keep us all safer. Coming from a military family I can tell you that this is a real possibility and that you don't release that breath that you hold until they have retired. Especially if they go on tour.

These books are my favorite kind where you have military action, loyalty and love mixed together. And let us not forget our alpha males. I did not realize she wrote under another name as well. That was my first intro to this author. She has HOT down pat!

So as far as reviewing....each book gets 5 stars and so does the box collection. I cannot wait for more!

ARC received by Victory Editing Publishing Grp via NetGalley for an honest review.
I hadn't read an Ella James book before so I jumped on this one as soon as I saw it on NetGalley because ..... well, have you seen the cover?!?!?!? LOL
Well, great cover or not, this story was really good for me. It was a sweet and hot and to the point kinda story. The only tiny thing I was not real happy with is the usage of so much military type wording/language. I get that this is a 'military' story, but I had to look up quite a few things LOL But of course that didn't take away from the HOT read this was!
As you can read from the blurb of the book this is basically a love triangle type situation. Someone is gonna have to make a decision ..... I can't really give you much more on the plot because then why read it. It's a VERY WELL written story. If you don't grab it, you will regret it! The book had the perfect combo of drama and sweetness and what I really LOVE is that it is NOT predictable. Nice little twist there at the end! :)

LOVE IT.

I love the fact that its a heartwarming yet a sexy hot read at the same time. Of course Tuck and Delaney steams up my kindle.

The story is not overly long just to prove a point and I like it. It's simple just straight no messing about. This story also focuses more on their job as well as their personal life. Yet it's hard cause you cannot fraternize at all. Being a Navy Seal and a Helicopter Pilot for them just makes me in awe cause of their commitments towards the job they do. So my feelings from this read is that you give credit to the men and women who serve for their country. This bought me a smile a tear and also a HEA that I craved for more.

Elle James possesses a remarkable gift for weaving tales of captivating men in uniform, masterfully capturing the essence of their courage and the peril that shadows their every move. With a deft hand, she builds an electrifying tension that simmers and ignites into a fiery sensuality. Her characters—dynamic men and resilient women alike—are portrayed as formidable, honourable, and profoundly relatable. *SEAL's Honor* serves as an enchanting escape from everyday life, making it nearly impossible to resist the allure of a man in uniform, especially when guided by the skilled pen of Elle James!

What a ride! Action and adventure! Handsome men, strong women and nail biting suspense! Sign me up for this series. Tuck is HOTT!!! His team sounds pretty hot too. Little wonder why Delaney was caught between two SEALS. Good story with fast paced plot draws you in and delivers. I would have liked a little bit better character definition. Way to start the year with a promising series about the men and women who keep me safe.

This was a story about a seal on a mission and he finds his fiancé who he thought was dead. The story itself was good. It was full of action. However, the sex scenes were very stiff...no pun intended. The way they were described was as if the characters were in a regency novel i.e.; nubbin, member, down there. Come on, really?

SPOLIERS

This is a quick 11 chapter read about two Navy Seals and best friends (Tuck & Reaper) who are romantically interested in the same helicopter pilot (O'Connell). O'Connell is romantically interested in Tuck, has been secretly dating and having sex with him. Things become complicated when Reaper proposes to O'Connell in front of the team the night before she deploys.

Even though Reaper does not know the true nature of Tuck and O'Connell relationship, he has convinced himself he loves her and hopes to win her over no matter where in the world their careers might move them.

"If a couple loves each other enough, they can make it happen. I'd be willing to make the commute as often as possible. O'Connell is worth it."

My problem with this story is everything that happens after the proposal and how it's handled. The situation is too "long winded." Some decisions, a case could be made it was because of honor but for the most part I was bored and disappointed.

Seal's Honor is an ok read if you some military action and sex scenes.

Side note.... the first chapter of book 2 is included also SEAL's Desire (Take No Prisoners, #2) by Elle James SEAL's Desire

Elle James gave a good insight into the lives of special forces team members and the people who risk their lives supporting them. She also addresses the wounds, physical, as well as mental and emotional, that often come with such professions. But all heroism aside, when it comes to love, these military experts have all their wires completely crossed and need some serious untangling. In the end, this happens without the readers' presence. and that one point is where I have to take one star off. The most deciding factor in the entire story is a total no-show. Yes, it was a surprising turn of events for the reader as well, however, I had the slight feeling of being cheated out of a very moving scene, which the author is totally capable of writing as she proves in the rest of her story beyond the shadow of a doubt. In the end, it seemed too easy after all the professional, medical and personal drama the story has put the reader through. All in all, however, a great audiobook with wonderful narration that truly brings the characters to life.

I found this book hidden in the black hole of my Kindle, after I finished one of the the author's more recent books. It is clear that she is well acquainted with the military and her characters show this. There is a three way triangle going on in the sand pile in Afghanistan. SEAL Reed Tucker (Tuck) has commitment issues because of his parents poor parental example of infidelity. His best friend is Cory Nipton, buddies since BUDS. They both have been hanging out with Army Captain, helicopter pilot, Delany O'Connell. Delany and Tuck have chemistry, but Tuck has his issues, which come to a head when Cory tells him that he is in love with Delaney. Tuck doesn't tell him that he has spent more than one night with her already. And Delaney has already lost one boyfriend to the Taliban. She is only interested in her career. The fraternization could get them all sent home, but Cory's persistence bring all their emotions to a head- not what is needed on their mission.

If you like military romance, this is a book you will enjoy. This is my voluntary and unbiased review.

I listened to the audio version, and the narration was decent. Periodically, Tuck had a twang to his accent, not quite southern, but I couldn't put NY finger on it. I wasn't sure if that was part of the character or the narrator. It was consistent, but it also wasn't distracting.

The story was ok. I couldn't understand why these fierce, fighting warriors facing death and dismemberment could not say I don't want to marry you, or we are involved, or manage to get their point across. I would have felt the same frustration no matter what the characters careers happened to be.

I did enjoy the action in the book.

Once Reaper had his issue and Razor was leaving for the sandbox the story became pretty predictable and the ending was no big surprise.

Not a bad way to spend a rainy Saturday afternoon.

Delaney is a 160th Soar night Stalker pilot and Reaper and Tuck are Team 10 Seals. Reacher and Tuck both want her. Tucker has a relationship with her ,kind of, but won’t commit to love and forever due to his parent’s many marriages. Reaper onbrge other hand feels he loves Delaney and asks her to marry him.
Delaney’s heart belongs to Tuck but it becomes complicated wgen she say yes to Reaper when he gets seriously injured in the field. Delaney’s Helicopter goes down and all hell breaks loose. A marriage day, a supposed wedding with a twist, a best friends guilt, and a secret love makes this book exciting, sad, hurtful. Mysterious.

First book by this author. I enjoyed it. At first I wasn't sure of all the military jargon. I do like to read about hot military alpha males, so this was right up my alley. I liked Tuck's character, but would have liked a little more background info on him. Delaney was ok, but her reasoning for marrying Reaper was little annoying. I did like the suspense aspect of the story. Some authors write more of the romance so this was a little different.

So overall, I liked it even though it was pretty predictable.

In love with one SEAL while engaged to his SEAL teammate and best friend. What a situation to end up in. Her lover has a fear of commitment and her fiancee is laid up in the hospital after losing his arm in Afghanistan. What's a woman to do?

This was a fast read with lots of action and tough choices. I wanted a little more story or at least an epilogue. It does have a HEA. Tuck is a badass SEAL with commitment issues and Delaney is a badass helicopter pilot who wants more. Their struggles are very true to life.

Things I liked:

1. It starts in the present and then the story goes back to the past to show how we got there.
2. The characters were likable
3. I was not sure how the author was going to resolve the mess that Tuck and McConnell got themselves into, but the ending while a little rushed was good.

What I did not like:

1. Nobody seemed to bat an eye when the characters are obviously breaking military fraternization rules.
2. Also while the characters are likable, their behavior was annoying at times.

Even though he's been through he'll watching how his parents were with marriage and others got him 2 thinking about bad things about marriage. Even though he's a SEAL and she is a pilot. There r rules against it. But can they find love 2gether without risking their hearts? Even though his best friend went through hell and she felt sorry 4 him can things change between them 4 the better or will it push Tuck 2 face his true feelings and try 2 b a better man? Read and decide 4 urself. I loved it and I understand how she felt with a pulling between what 2 do vs what she really feels...
