Jack Floor Loom

I have a rigid heddle table loom not a floor loom so not much applies to me. However the step by step instructions are very clear and easy to follow. The information on yarns is quite good.

Exactly what I look for in an instruction manual: no nonsense, clear instruction without flowery language, thorough detail, and plenty of photos (with great close-ups that aren't blurry) when I have an additional question.

Helpful

As someone who has been weaving for a few years now, I still found there to be many helpful tips/methods in this book.

This is a good little book on beginning to weave on a floor loom. There are only 4 projects included in the book. It includes a good section on warping the loom and tying it on from back to front.

Another weaving book. Not a ton of projects, but good info on types of weaves.

Can't really recommend this book. The basic information is there but there were some glaring oversights. For example when winding the warp onto the back beam, no mention was made of packing the layers with either cardboard or warp sticks or anything to prevent the warp layers from intermingling and become a solidly stuck mess.

A better book for new weavers is really the tried and true Learning to Weave, Revised Edition.
