From the time that she first “stole” paper from kindergarten and stapled it together to make “books,” Sarah has always wanted to be a writer. In line with this ambition, on graduation from high school she completed a bachelor of arts degree majoring in professional writing, then sat down to write a book. When inspiration didn’t strike, she began to wonder if, perhaps, she needed to live some life first before writing about it.
This still left the burning question of how to pay the rent. She found her way into trade journalism, working off the principle that it was better to write anything for a living than nothing at all. Her time there lead to the opportunity to launch a new decorator magazine for one of Australia’s major retailers, an invaluable and grueling experience that she found very rewarding.
But the opportunity to write fiction for a living soon lured Sarah away. She took up a post as storyliner on Australia’s longest running soap, Neighbours. Over two years she helped plot more than 240 hours of television, as well as writing freelance scripts. She remembers her time with the show very fondly — especially the dirty jokes and laughter around the story table — and still writes scripts on a freelance basis.
In 2003 she relocated to New Zealand for her partner’s work. There Sarah served as storyliner and story editor on the country’s top-rating drama, Shortland Street, before quitting to pursue writing full time.
Sarah picked up a love of romance novels from both her grandmothers, and has submitted manuscripts to Harlequin many times over the years. She credits the invaluable story structuring experience she learned on Neighbours as the key to her eventual success — along with the patience of her fantastic editor, Wanda.
Sarah is revoltingly happy with her partner of twelve years, Chris, who is a talented scriptwriter. Not only does he offer fantastic advice and solutions to writing problems, but he’s also handsome, funny and sexy. When she’s not gushing over him, she loves to read romance and fantasy novels, go to the movies, sew and cook for her friends. She has also become a recent convert to Pilates, which she knows she should do more often.

4 Sensual, Smokin' Hot Use of Largest Sexual Organ Stars

Did I catch your attention...did you think all I was going to talk about was how big, thick and beautiful the main character's dick was...which it is, by the way...Well if you did, you would be totally incorrect....because what he had which was equally if not more wonderful as his dick...
Was his Mind...
Because we all know the largest sexual organ is the brain... we are using it every time we read and transport ourselves to places where we let our minds tell our bodies how to feel about what we have just read.
So consider this... we have an accomplished author, Sarah Mayberry; she decides to do a little erotic romance set in Australia and comes up with the idea of a woman who cannot get off for the life of her.
Maggie Hendricks is not a prude; maybe a just bit conservative due to her life experiences. She has a couple of strong girlfriends, is a successful bookstore owner and a failed sexual being in her eyes. She's had boyfriends, etc. but from the very beginning... nothing took her to the "completion" she heard or read about. It seemed no matter how hard she tried, either with said boyfriends, or with the battery-operated ones or even by her own methods...she would get worked up, be on the brink, but could just not have the result of coming...She would be wanting, hurting for it and after 27 years... she is now desperate for it.
We are with Maggie when she is holding the book club meeting with her girls. They are a friendly, fun group each with their own personalities. Cleo, her most outrageous one, was moving the discussion like always to her favorite subject... latest sexual experience. This was the time which was the hardest for Maggie. She would never let her friends know of her situation; it was too embarrassing to think of how her body was broken or defective. Maggie busies herself with adding more snacks to the tray as she hears Cleo go on and on about her unexpected escapade while getting a tattoo at Brothers Ink. She explains she had her appointment with one of the brothers, Eduardo a sexy Brazilian transplant. There she was face to face with the man... so hot and sexy she could hardly breathe... But being Cleo...she flirted when the opportunity came...and then one thing leads to another on Eduardo's table and she was having the Best. Sex. Of. Her. Life.
As Cleo waxed on about how amazing he was...how he hit spots in her body she didn't know could feel...all Maggie could do was wish it had been her. Maybe there was this man who could work his special magic and make it finally happen. The gathering ended, Maggie cleaned up and during the entire time she was doing it she focused on one thing. She was at the end of her rope...it was either find her own "magic man" or go to a doctor and start testing to see why she didn't work.
The idea of the medical route was so off-putting, she started to think of Magic Eduardo as the answer.
Could she muscle up the courage, make an appointment for a tattoo she didn't need and get him to do to her what he did with Cleo? No, too crazy....yet she was so tired of her feeling broken. As she slept that night, all she could think of was what if he was the answer...
When she woke... she had a strange determination of making this happen. She called Brothers Ink, wrangled an appointment with Eduardo for the next day. She was going to do this. Somehow she would be strong and brave enough to make this happen. When the time came for her appointment, she was so nervous, she decided to bolster herself with 3 gin and tonics. She entered Brothers Ink and the place was nothing she expected; it was cool, clean, friendly which was welcoming in a way. A man named Hans checked her in, told her it would be a few minutes and gave her a book of designs for ideas.
Nerves began to strike but before she could get up and leave, a woman with blue hair and beautiful tattoos up her arm of cherry blossoms led her to Eduardo's room. A man she had peeked at quickly on her smartphone when looking up pictures of Eduardo of Brothers Ink, opened the door. He looked better than his picture from what she had seen... dark brown hair, cheekbones which gave that Strong Manly look...lips she wanted on her, and eyes... beautiful, cool deep green with dark lashes... a gaze which went right through her and held her at the same time. All of this with a body in just jeans and T-shirt to make her heart race...yet there was something more about him...
Maggie went through all the motions required to do this tattoo; undies off for a butt placement, laying down on the table, looking at the transfer through the mirror he held... all while her mind raced of the story Cleo had told her...trying to make sure each move would get the same outcome... But somehow when Eduardo would ask her things about the placement or colors... it didn't match Cleo's story at all. A frown happened and worry between her brows showed...Eduardo gently asked if she was happy to do this as she was not acting like it and offered her water...
Maggie was stunned by a number of things; he was so professional and caring... calm and looking out for her. She was also feeling like this was not going to happen after all...yet wanting it none the less. When Eduardo came back with the water, he told her this is common, second thoughts and touched her arm in an understanding way... triggering all of Maggie's fears, needs, and desires he had been stoking without his knowing...
As she jumped off the table, her skirt dropping into place, the water cup sloshed against him. She panicked and started brushing the water off of Eduardo's body...without even knowing she what she was saying or doing... trying to remove his wet t-shirt. As he protested it was only water, she stood on tiptoe and touched her lips to his, her tongue invading his mouth...her chest against his, one hand around his neck while the other found what is most desired, the bulge in those jeans...Maggie was experiencing this man, his scent, his taste, the feel of his hard body against hers...she wanted so much...She whispered at this moment, words which seemed off to him... words which he didn't understand...but even though he was shocked at how aroused and wanting his body was...saying take advantage...he pulled away.
As he held her away from his body, he told her Brothers Ink has a strict policy about these types of things... a no go with clients as gently as he could. Maggie responded by saying, "So if I wasn't a client, Eduardo... it would be ok?" Maggie was vibrating, holding on by a thread...so embarrassed. She knew he had wanted her, he had been hard under her hand..she was thinking all of these things when she heard him say,
EDUARDO?????
She snapped out of her haze...saying that is your name, isn't it...and his response was
Eduardo is my Twin Brother.
No, No, No this cannot be happening... here she is with no undies... in this room with this man who she thought she would seduce and reach nirvana... what was she thinking. As he explained he was Rafel Oliveira, Eduardo's twin and was subbing due to a minor fender bender Eduardo had delaying him... he offered to set another appointment with the woman artist. Maggie nods, Rafel goes to make the appointment for her and it is then she slips away grabbing her things and race-walks out the back door.
Never has Maggie felt this way. Humiliated by what she attempted and with the wrong brother, no less. She will just have to get over it and go on. It is her way. Because Maggie learned early, one must figure out how to get on and handle things. Her loving, sweet mother developed breast cancer when Maggie was 8.
As a single mother, it was very hard and she needed help. It came in the form of a close friend who sat Maggie down and instructed her she needed to now be strong. She needed to not bother her mother with things which could upset her... that by being this strong little girl... she would help her mother beat this thing. Asked if she could do it...Maggie vowed she could...creating her life's path of controlling everything which needed to be done. Doctors appointments- scheduled and managed, medications ordered, refilled and given; anything which would make less worry for her mother...done. Her mother recovered after a difficult run with all the treatments and continued now with a new life in London with a new husband, happy. Maggie did her job as a child and continued to shelter her mother, friends, and anyone with her own problems. That was what she learned, it was her way....and it was also what was causing her issues with sex.
Rafel returned to the room and the woman Maggie was gone. First, all he could think about was how he was going to tear into his brother Eduardo. Years ago, the both of them were wild and quick with women... they were available, more than willing and it was fun... But that type of fun grows old when you mature with a thriving business and opportunities to develop something real. Rafel also had found his partner, he thought. A beautiful wild woman named Lena. For years they were together, playing hard, having fun... but then they started to grow apart... she wanting to continue partying - he wanting to be clear for work the next day. It came to a point where neither was happy and she left for New York. He still had feeling for her after a year of her absence ....and had not wanted anyone till this Maggie stroked his tongue and pants making him alive again. As he sat at his desk, thinking of the words she whispered to him, the desperate meaning behind them....it all dawned on him what she was actually alluding to.... Maggie couldn't climax.
This was something else...now he could understand why this sweet, beautiful woman with creamy soft skin and pink lips would force herself to get a ridiculous tattoo. His brother admitted he had been sampling a bit and Rafel figured out somehow Maggie had heard about it. What guts and strength this woman had to have to do this...and the need, the willingness to try to have it. This was something which touched Rafel...it touched him and intrigued him. He was going to find this Maggie and make her desire happen.
What happens next is shocking to Maggie. Rafel asks her out to dinner, takes her to the most beautiful expensive place, wines and dines her and then they end up ....Talking!
Maggie, a bit tipsy, shares when questioned by Rafel the truth...says it out loud...all the faking she has done with partners, her getting so close it hurts and then nothing; her feeling like she is broken. Rafel takes this all in and over the evening he has been enthralled with her honesty, her way of thinking things through and independence. She is also a sight to behold; loose loopy curls of light natural blonde hair, big seeking eyes and breasts a man dreams of...
Listening to what she said, he knew what the issue was and how to fix it. He was going to do this. She was not broken. She was responsive as hell... little sounds coming from her when he deepened his kiss and moans when he just grazed a nipple through her clothing....
No, Maggie was not broken at all....she just thought too much. She thought about the goal and that blocked her from experiencing the journey. Rafel was going to take her on a journey of a lifetime...it would be his pleasure.
This book had the best way of setting things up. It gave us detailed back stories to understand all of the reasons why the characters did what they did. It did it in a away for me which wasn't over the top or redundant. If something was repeated or referenced... there was a reason which was to show the why of the actions. There was not a long, angsty set up to make us hang in for its conclusion. Instead, when the conflicts happened...you could see why... the period of the resolution was short and satisfying.
And oh the journey we take with Maggie... OMFG....Rafel was a genius; a sexy, smart man. He got it. He knew exactly what he was doing to get Maggie where she needed to be.
Every. Step. Of. The. Way. Was. Amazing.
Yup, that big, huge, intricate sexual organ, the brain....it was put to work. Rafel whispered and talked to her....said things and she would get heated, slick with desire. He would suggest things for her to do... (Nope not telling, you need to read the book, people) and then by doing them, she would be at her limit wanting him so much it would hurt...He would come to her shop for lunch every day... and she would become Pavlov's dog in training... just a whiff of his cologne mixed with his own man scent and she would zone out knowing he would be close soon...
All of the things you are thinking right now....all of them and more happened for Maggie before Rafel gave her the main event...But even more than that...both of them developed more...and it was this more which enriched this story about trying to achieve one thing... it made it a story of opening yourself up to achieve everything... even after being hurt in life.
So if you want a book which is sensual, hot and definitely laundry inducing, this will work.
But if you want something more than the physical coming together of people; if you want to understand how the mind and habits of life which may help in one way to cope may also be the barrier you are trying to overcome, then read this book. You will find yourself thinking with all of your parts working for that ultimate goal..... A Great Read, of course.

(Nope not telling, you need to read the book, people) and then by doing them, she would be at her limit wanting him so much it would hurt...He would come to her shop for lunch every day... and she would become Pavlov's dog in training... just a whiff of his cologne mixed with his own man scent and she would zone out knowing he would be close soon...
All of the things you are thinking right now....all of them and more happened for Maggie before Rafel gave her the main event...But even more than that...both of them developed more...and it was this more which enriched this story about trying to achieve one thing... it made it a story of opening yourself up to achieve everything... even after being hurt in life.
So if you want a book which is sensual, hot and definitely laundry inducing, this will work.
But if you want something more than the physical coming together of people; if you want to understand how the mind and habits of life which may help in one way to cope may also be the barrier you are trying to overcome, then read this book. You will find yourself thinking with all of your parts working for that ultimate goal..... A Great Read, of course.

I read this book last year and had totally forgotten to rate and review it, so I re-read in order to give it a proper rating and a short and sweet review.
First off, I love Sarah Mayberry's brand of romance. She writes MY kind of romance -- sweet, hot with a healthy dose of angst and Satisfaction is all that and then some. This book possibly contained one of the most embarrassing seduction scene ever where the heroine ended up humiliated and embarrassed, though no fault of the hero. It's simply one of those things that had me cringing and maybe laughing the whole time because it was so...embarrassing and yet, it's one of those things that endeared the heroine to me.
Maggie Hendricks have everything going for her; a successful business, great friends, and a complete collection of Georgette Heyer books. While she was satisfied in other areas of her, she unsatisfied in one important area and it was for the lack of trying too, which affected her confidence. So when a friend told her of someone who is proficient in this area, Maggie took the chance to finally have that elusive thing she craved. Of course, things weren't quite as simple and her plan ended up embarrassing but she did meet our hero Rafel. And oh la la, Rafel is hot, hot, hot and he just might be the one person who can give it her.
I know what you're thinking "Oh boy, another heroine who needs a man to give her an O." But I Sarah Mayberry did a great job with writing Maggie's character that it didn't feel cheesy or off to me in the least. One of this author's strength has always been her great characterizations and it showed up again here. Maggie is a great character. Relatable, funny and vulnerable. Rafel is a great hero too. He's very self-contained in all the areas of his life but then he gets his sexy on and it's like, "Whoa!" Rafel and Maggie have an insane chemistry together and their banter -- fun and hilarious.
My only quibble, the ending felt rush. But there's an epilogue. Still, I wanted a bit more out of that ending. In the end, I still liked it and enjoyed it very much.

No orchestra, no sunset....but one hell of a love story.
Satisfaction by Sarah Mayberry left me with a big smile on my face. We are introduced to Maggie our orgasm starved heroine. Maggie is desperate enough for the big "O" that she approaches a tattoo artist she'd heard provided more than one service when you lay on his table. This tattoo artist has a reputation, so she thinks that if anyone can help her with her "o" so serious problem it's Eduardo. Imagine poor Maggie's surprise and humiliation to realise the man she just jumped (or attempted to) was Eduardo's identical twin brother Rafel. Maggie skedaddles out of there as soon as his back is turned hoping to never face him again.
Rafael is left dumbfounded but intrigued by the blonde beauty who came in for a tattoo, but obviously wanted a different service as well. He decides to look for her and finds her story interesting enough that he wants to help her find her missing "O". I really enjoyed the connection between the couple and found their lead up to the big event really HOT.
Some dramas and lack of communication made their story a little painful to read. Rafel has an ex who he struggled to move on from and Maggie know of this so she thinks she's his second choice.
Overall I enjoyed this story, it kept my interest from start to finish and I will definitely be reading about Eduardo and Blue.

Sarah Mayberry stepped it up a notch in this one! I was not expecting an erotic romance when I was reading this, but then it became pretty clear that I was sure reading one! One that had substance and dept at that! Thank you SM for showing us how to write an erotic romance that actually has an interesting story that is plausible and put together well. Not just sex sex sex, but an actual tale that keeps you invested in the characters. I really enjoyed this book. It has a unique tone that other authors haven't explored yet. It was believable, angsty and well written. Everything I expect from a good romance. The scorching hot love scenes were a bonus.
I usually don't like over long reads. I get bored really fast but in this one I was actually hoping for a little more. I wanted more time to explore with the ex other woman whom Rafel was in love with in the beginning. She showed up pretty late in the book but since she was a big part of the story in theory I would have liked a little more example of Rafel getting over her. And geez, doesn't anyone get married anymore in contemporaries in the end?? I missed that. I wanted a proposal. The hea doesn't seem permanent without one. Call me old fashion!
I highly recommend this read anyway, especially to erotic romance lovers. There are quite a lot of sex scenes that might put some off who are not accustomed to that from SM.

Get no Satisfaction.
Trying to recreate a friend’s sexcapade down to the dude involved because if “he can’t do it no one can?” Wherever would you get such an idea Crazypants?
From the twin mix-up, to the relative ease in which the elusive O was acquired, to the corny ass dialogue…it was pretty painful. Also this book included my number one bugbear: the relentless descriptions of the heroine’s pale skin (something that is always tied to femininity and innocence and goodness and fragility and GRRR). While some of it may have been about trying to show Maggie's insecurity: "Oh no! I'll burn at the beach!" and Raf being like, "Hey, That Thing You're Insecure About? DRIVES ME WILD. DON'T CHANGE A THING." there's too much history there for me not to read between lines like this: "She was too sweet looking, with her white blond curls and big blue eyes and pale, untouched skin."

I wanted more plot and good reasons for conflict. If you can overlook that, it’s good for sex.
MY PROBLEMS:
1. I wanted it to be over which is the main reason for 2 stars.
2. At 30% I thought this is boring.
3. She breaks up with him for a stupid reason (see spoiler).
4. She leaves him because someone said something to her about him. She should have told him what was said, but she didn’t. Instead she lied as an excuse to leave. That was too artificial for me. They had been together for weeks. I wasn’t in the mood for that because I was still stressed from the other stupidity.
GOOD PARTS:
There were many good things about this. All the characters were interesting, well done, with their own issues. I liked the conversations and their interactions.
There is a lot of explicit sex including self pleasuring. Sex scenes were good. There is a lot of passion and desire for each other.
I put the stupid reason she broke up with him in the Spoiler, because some readers won’t be bothered by it. You can decide.

This seemed a lot steamier than her usual fare! The premise was interesting: Maggie has never had an orgasm, ever. Yes she's had sex, even good sex. Yes she's had healthy, decent relationships - she's just gotten so mental about it over the years that she's completely blocked.
It seemed like a nice antidote to the Romancelandia endless unicorn and rainbow fireworks - and I like this more realistic plot better than the more typical (but ridiculous) 33 year old virgin trope.
Of course, she meets the one man who leads her to her new life as a multi-orgasmic strumpet. Of course he is a Brazilian tattoo artist who drives a Bentley (things must be very different in Australia for tattoo artists).
It was over the top and silly, but I read it in a day, and enjoyed myself. After the long reading slump I've been foundering in for months, that's pretty much a miracle and deserving of four stars.

2.5 really, but I'll round up cuz the cover is freaking HAWT! Anyway, I just couldn't connect with these characters. From the very beginning I struggled with feeling any kind of sympathy for the heroine and it just went down hill from there. I might try the next one, we'll see.

Sarah Mayberry writes in this steady, mature way that always hits the spot. Her characters are always well-rounded and layered and real—her heroes I always find swoon-worthy for being simpatiko, and her heroines are sexy and self-sufficient. This might as well be my standard opening for her every story.
We are clued in early on what kind of issues Maggie has. She was forced to grow up too quickly for her mother's sake, and the sense of responsibility she developed has manifested in her wanting to have control…and, well, orgasms are the ultimate loss of it. Consequently, she just can't there. Frustrated and a little desperate, she tries, in a rather unconventional way, to enlist the help of Mr. Golden Wang, a skilled (in more ways than one, of course) tattoo artist her friend got frisky with. And the story takes off.
The book has me cringing in the first few pages. Not because of the potentially messy affair involving a friend and a man (something Mayberry has already explored—check out Her Best Worst Mistake , Suddenly You , and Her Best Friend ), but because, as Maggie finds out, “humiliation came in many flavors and colors.” If I were in her shoes, it'd probably the kind where I'd be pulling my hair, screaming and kicking and wanting to die in embarrassment. In any case, screwing up still gets her to her, uh, desired destination as she successfully hooks the man, so all's well and good, right?
Well, not exactly. For one, we know how complicated no-strings-attached sex can be in a romance novel. Rafel, the hot Brazilian guy still half in love with his ex, isn't quite so ready to move on, but his body sure is. He's drawn to Maggie like a magnet, and is intrigued with her situation. His emotional unavailability serves as the perfect foil for some raucous sex—Maggie just needs someone to get her off, after all, and she's OK with that.
Until she feels that, after all the intimacy and mind-blowing orgasms she's finally allowed herself to have, she might not be.
Maggie doesn't even try to fool herself into believing she can handle more heat without suffering the emotional consequences. Rafel is too fun, too sexy, too appealing, to be someone she can't fall for. Rafel doesn't try to reassure Maggie. He figures he's over his ex, but he's not sure he's ready for yet another commitment. Still, he also doesn't want to deny himself.
This is Mayberry's smuttiest yet. I haven't read all her Harlequin Blazes, but this one is just off-the-charts steamy. Rafel makes me want to fan myself whenever he talks dirty with Maggie. He orchestrates this very long, very hot seduction that heightens the sexual chemistry between them. He's actually rather ruthless going about it. :)
And when Maggie finally lets go, even though Rafel admits his ego has been stoked, he recognises that “Maggie was the only one who could unlock her own desire.” Maggie also doesn't put Rafel on a pedestal. In a celebratory drink, she toasts herself: “To Rafel, for having all the right moves. But mostly to my vagina. Thank you for finally getting it together.” These bits are extremely important to me as a reader, as a woman, that our hero doesn't take all the credit or try to downplay his lover's part in their shared success, and that our heroine doesn't think her orgasms are anchored on one man.
I love that we have honest characters here. They're honest with each other, but, more importantly, they're honest with themselves. They're not perfectly mature—Rafel turns into a manzilla and Maggie is too independent to rely on people who care for her—but they act like the adults they are in dealing with each other when it matters. Having tempered, responsible characters helps in creating external conflicts that are neither overblown nor overreaching. When someone's unexpected homecoming threatens to break them apart, it takes only a few pages to sort things out because our leads are people who take action in order to make them stop second-guessing themselves. They are characters who recognise their flaws and try to correct their mistakes. By the way, major props to Rafel for making a comrade out of Georgette Heyer. Even I swooned. :D
I feel as though I could have been better acquainted with Rafel. We're given hints of his past struggles with his brother, circumstances that have shaped them into success stories, but I think there's so much more to tell. I love that Rafel puts in the effort of helping Maggie, but that he manages to make her come at first go doesn't quite sit well with me. You could say I was waiting for him to fail, make it a bit of a tough spot. I would have also liked to get a few more details of Maggie and Rafel's time together as a couple—the intensity of their emotional connection seems a bit lacking after all the drama. I suppose that's just the way with them, though, so it isn't really an issue. Also, wouldn't it have been interesting to get a blow-by-blow of Cleo's reaction to meeting Rafel? :D

We're given hints of his past struggles with his brother, circumstances that have shaped them into success stories, but I think there's so much more to tell. I love that Rafel puts in the effort of helping Maggie, but that he manages to make her come at first go doesn't quite sit well with me. You could say I was waiting for him to fail, make it a bit of a tough spot. I would have also liked to get a few more details of Maggie and Rafel's time together as a couple—the intensity of their emotional connection seems a bit lacking after all the drama. I suppose that's just the way with them, though, so it isn't really an issue. Also, wouldn't it have been interesting to get a blow-by-blow of Cleo's reaction to meeting Rafel? :D
Satisfaction is sweet and spicy, and everything we've come to expect from Sarah Mayberry: complex characters you will root for, a love story that will make you all warm and fuzzy inside, and sizzling sex scenes to heat things up.

Maggie Hendricks has never had an orgasm. One night at her book club meeting with her best friends, one of her friends describes an encounter with a guy at the tattoo parlor, Brothers Ink. I have heard good things about Sarah Mayberry and have wanted to give her a try and finally gave in and got this one. It was a fun and sexy read. I'm sure I will be checking out more by her soon.

My first book by this author:) When I start a book, the first few chapters either hold my interest or draw me into the Dnf territory. Satisfaction did grab my attention.
Like:

One woman's journey to finding the big "O"
I had mixed feelings with this book I would definitely categorize this one as erotica over anything else. The romance was lacking and it had an insta-love feel to it. I would rate this 2.5 stars but I'm going to round this up since it was offered as a freebie. Here's my breakdown:
The pros:
* It was offered as a freebie - that is always appreciated
* The passion was a solid 8 out of 10 stars - it had some insanely hot scenes
* The hero was the master of some dirty talk!
The cons:
* The abundance of sex almost ruined this one for me, and I'm a smut lover. It just seemed to take away from any sense of character development. The hero and heroines relationship was lacking in all aspects that weren’t sexual. They just felt incredibly one dimensional.
* Speaking of the lack of character depth, the little we did get personality wise, I didn’t care for the heroine. She seemed very immature.
* The writing style had a "choppy" feel to it.
* The plot really had very little going on - it was a 300 page book where very little aside from sex occurred - it never really had me invested in the story or the characters
Overall, it was a steamy read but little else. Not a series I will personally continue.

Extremely explicit book, where the first part seemed more like a romantic erotic book and the romance only managed to emerge in the second half. In that sense, it was very different from the previous books from this author I read.
I liked the misunderstanding that helped put the two characters face to face and how they started getting involved with each other, with what should have been a pure sexual relationship quickly transforming into a complete seduction and allowing them to discover the other's personality.
I would have liked more of the secondary characters, to have more feelings and not only sex and lust in the first part...
As usual the resolution came very quickly but was very nicely managed.

Sarah Mayberry has written a fascinating romance with this story of sexual satisfaction gone awry. Maggie has never found the big "O" and has lived with this sexual frustration all her adult life. Hearing about a tattoo artist named Eduardo who gives a little "extra" with his work, Maggie sets out to get some, only to discover that her sights were inadvertently on Rafel, Eduardo's twin brother. Humiliated, she runs out of the shop back to her safe bookstore, only to have Rafel find her and offer her help to find the release she is looking for.
The sexual chemistry between Maggie and Rafel is explosive right from their first meeting. Rafel's slow and thorough seduction of Maggie is delicious to read, each encounter heightening the tension for both Maggie and the reader. The alternating points of view give insight into the emotional background of the characters. Maggie is well portrayed as a woman in control of all aspects of her life to the point of never being able to let go in the bedroom. Rafel is a strong dominant man nursing a bruised heart from a breakup with his girlfriend a year before. He's happy to get into a physical relationship with Maggie yet soon finds she is becoming emotionally important to him. The sexual relationship between Maggie and Rafel develops into one with real emotions and feelings and the transition of their relationship into love is wonderful and thoroughly satisfying to read.
Secondary characters are all well developed and add to the overall feel of the novel. There is definitely potential for a series here. If you are looking for a sexually intense, emotionally satisfying story, this one delivers the goods. 5 Seductive Stars!

This book was difficult to rate. Satisfaction has more explicit sex than any other Sarah Mayberry books I've read, although I've only read one of her Blaze titles. While this would be a great book to spice up a cozy weekend alone with hubby, it wasn't exactly what I was expecting for a first-cup-of-coffee read or a book to read during breaks at work.
As always, Mayberry writes great characters and easy, believable dialog. In this book Maggie's friends were very one-dimensional, but there is, after all, limited space in Harlequin novels for secondary character development.
Overall a good read, but perhaps not quite what I was expecting at the moment.

I really enjoyed this. I didn't think I would when I started reading, but it really picked up about a third of the way in. The book was also definitely the most PWP book I've ever read, so that was interesting, but no complaints here. It was pretty hot. But yeah, while I feel like the book lacked a little in the plot department, the straight-up romance of it definitely made up for that, and I really did enjoy Raf and Maggie as a couple.

A much spicier tale than I'm used to from Mayberry. I know what to expect when I pick up a book by this author, and she didn't disappoint. Strong characters facing real-life situations. This time with the added bonus of lots of sexy-times.

This was fun! I liked the set-up to their relationship, which felt different from what we usually see. I thought their relationship developed realistically, and both characters were interesting. Also, the sex was super hot. A good read, I just don't seem to have much to say about it.

I would rate this a 2.5 if I could. I did like the H and h together, but some of the drama was immature and over the top. Also- I really didn't like when Rafel's ex came back to town. This was so so for me.

She owns a bookstore and he owns a tattoo studio with his twin brother. His twin brother is a player and she finds out he is talented with giving the big O which she has never experienced. She decides she can’t wait anymore and books an appointment to get a tattoo and seduce Eddie… only Rafel takes his place. She ends up kissing him and trying to seduce Rafel unknowingly- he stops her and realizes his brother his up to no good with their clients. She runs in shame. But he is intrigued by her saying “he’s her last resort.” He goes to her bookstore and asks her to dinner. He then sets out to seduce her and challenge accepted… of course she gets her big O twice but only after ALOT 🔥🔥🔥🔥 of teasing. Yeah this book was hot 🥵. They break up after when he can’t commit to seeing anything in the future with her - she doesn’t want her heart broken. Ugh 1st cry for her but glad she was so strong. For a month they are both miserable and his brother tells him to cut it out and go after her and he does. They get back together- get to know each other more and she falls… only for the ex to come back and try to reclaim Rafel again… Maggie retreats only to realize NO I’m going to tell him I love him - second cry for her - confrontation in front of ex and he admits his love for her too.

I’m a Sarah Mayberry fan.
She writes meticulously. At first glance the story appears effervescent, frothy, lightweight, but then slowly it builds up. You see the characters, their lives, how they think and why they think that way and you’re entranced.
This story is about Rafel and Maggie. They are as different as chalk and cheese.
He’s an edgy tattoo artist snd she owns a bookshop. That’s at first glance.
The story starts with her never having had an orgasm
before and then a friend tells her about this stud at the tattoo parlour.. So she goes there to scope him out. Only he has a twin. Which is who she meets.
The twin declines her overtures. But later he finds her and asks her out and so begins their affair.
Initially I read it slowly thinking it’s not as interesting as the author’s usual till suddenly it picked up and became very interesting.
The story moves seamlessly through interesting twists and turns and the hero has quite a lot of depth to him worth admiring. I thought.
