Must read for every Gujarati. The story here may move your soul in direction of learning more of history of your state and its neighbor, the suffering that feminine dealt once upon a time on our ancestors is immense, if you are a 90's kid you may have heard or read about the 'chhappaniyo dukal' if not, please look into it.. Today most of us take water for granted & ruin the world around us for the future generation. Who knows our actions today might be increasing the chances of such events again.

Tragic story set in the background of the Indian famine of 1899–1900, also known as "chhappaniyo dukal" in Gujarati.

A story set around the period of famine of 1899-1900 is a love story of kalu and raju and yet it is not only a love story. It dwells around the famine and it's difficulties but yet again it is not only about that. It gives you glimpse of the culture and difficulties of the time and wrenches your heart. and compels you to go through the pain of a villager. but leaves an unknown smile and an unknown anguish in your heart. both at the same time.
