Uncharted Desires
It took just one misstep to send Kat Brooks and arrogant rock star Weston Monroe tumbling from his luxury yacht. Now she’s stranded on a deserted island with the man who’s ruined her life. Things, surely, couldn’t get any worse...
Musician Katrina Brooks has spent ten years in the background of the music world dreaming of a chance to share her voice. Instead, Kat’s music career is destroyed when her boss, the King of romantic rock songs, Weston Monroe announces his surprise retirement during their end-of-tour vacation. To make matters worse, Weston falls overboard, and Kat’s rescue attempt doesn’t quite work out, landing them both in the Indian Ocean.
She’d rather be with anyone else but him…
Weston is completely fine with early retirement. Right? With nothing left to do but party and drink himself into a stupor, he makes one teeny tiny mistake. Okay, maybe falling off a yacht isn’t so teeny tiny. Now, he’s forced to deal with his piano player, years of their unpacked baggage, and not a drop of whiskey in sight.
As they wash ashore on an uncharted island, with not only the natural world hindering their survival. They must learn to work together if they plan on making it off the island in one piece. If only Kat's heart had a chance of staying intact too.

I thought it was a cute rom con read.
They were stuck on an island because Weston fell overboard and Kat tried saving him, then they get stuck on an island & all this stuff happens.
I liked that this book had Indigenous/POC representation throughout the whole book.
I loved the banter & tension between the two main characters.
The book was fast paced I finished it in a day, but forgot to leave my review.. 😅
I def recommend if you’re looking for a fast paced book.

I read an ARC of this book.
I read this all in one sitting, I could not put it down. I didn't know that I needed a "cast away" romance but I loved it. After falling off the boat, Kat and West spend all night in the ocean before finding an uninhabited island. The stakes are SO HIGH; there's a life threatening snake bite, no food, inclement weather, more life threatening danger, and a harrowing escape. Kat is Indigenous and starts to reconnect with her Native self while trying to save their lives (not hyperbole!).
I love how physically comfortable Kat and West's relationship is, some of that is trauma bonding, but some is also years of working together. Their walls come down while they fight for their lives and start to feel what they've been suppressing for so long. After making it back to the real world, they really have to work on being together, it's not an insta-love that solves all problems. They have to work on trusting and including each other in their lives and I loved getting to be with them on their journey.
I can't wait to read Cher's story next!

Kat Brooks is a musician with big dreams. She's spent years in the background, waiting for her chance to shine. During their end-of-tour vacation, Weston Monroe, her rockstar boss, decides to announce his retirement. This news completely blindsides Kat. Not only did he reject her years prior, but now he has ruined her career. Then, when Weston falls overboard, she tries to save him but ends up overboard, too. Now, they are stranded on an island and are forced to work together to survive.
Uncharted Desires is an interesting read, but it was not what I expected. While I enjoyed the adventure and portrayal of Indigenous culture, I felt the plot lacked believability. Simply put, the events in this book are outrageous. Everything seemed to work out too perfectly. Whenever Kat and Weston were in trouble, the solutions appeared to be right in front of them every time. I liked Kat and loved how she gained confidence throughout the story; however, I disliked Weston. By the end, it was clear Weston really cared for Kat, but I was not necessarily rooting for them to be together.
Overall, this is a quick and easy read. It is filled with adventure and twists that will keep you turning the pages.

- Rockstar & back up singer
- Forced Proximity
- Stranded on an island
I have to be honest, I wasn’t a huge fan of this one mostly because I just didn’t really like Weston. I found it very annoying how he acted like just because Kat was a female she was unable to do certain things. I also struggled with everything little think working out so perfectly. I understand this is fiction, but this story had some far fetched plot points and the solutions were so coincidental (think Outer Banks and all their adventures). For example, Kat just happened to know how to make an antidote for a venomous snake bite and just happened to have all the ingredients immediately available on this uncharted island.

this was such a fun read - imagine getting stuck on a deserted island with your ‘enemy.’ they've been working together for years - he's a rockstar, and she's his backup singer - until he announces his retirement.
she's totally blindsided by this announcement, and tensions are high between them, even if he thinks it'll all be okay. despite the tensions, she ends up saving his life after he falls overboard, except they have no way back to the boat…
they end up floating in the ocean, sharing a buoy (“this isn't titanic. we can both hang on and not freeze to death”) until they finally stumble upon an island.
it appears deserted,so they have to fend for themselves and set up camp until they can find a way back. kat definitely has more survival instincts than weston, so he's very lucky she was with him for the adventure. even luckier when he gets hurt and she knows how to help. he does return the favour later and comforts her when she gets hurt, too (which i loved, both times!!).
i really liked their relationship - there was definitely some tension at first, but they grew closer and learned to understand each other better. it was more of a slow burn, even though they had some history, yet it felt like it was timed really well. it wasn't ‘insta love-y,’ there was more build-up.
this book had everything - romance, suspense, mystery - and was a little chaotic at times. it turns out that the island isn't as deserted as they thought. there's actually a whole drug operation going on, so they need to get off the island asap to stay alive.
i loved that it was dual pov - it's a great way to learn more about the characters. it turns out that weston can be a little dumb at times, but he definitely has some great character development by the end.
i would highly recommend this book if you're looking for a cute, quick read.

*Blue Lagoon meets Tropic Thunder (IYKYK)*
This was a quick and entertaining read. I loved seeing the Indigenous/POC representation throughout the novel. I also appreciated that the characters weren't teens or early 20s like you would see in most romances.
I liked the overall plot of the story - marooned on an island with a "bad boy" rockstar. Who wouldn't give into the throes of passion if you feel like each day could be your last?
That being said...
I feel like the book moved a bit too fast to really develop the plot thoroughly. I would have loved for it to have been more of a slow burn with more time spent on the island. I feel like it would have made more sense given the strained relationship between the FMC and the MMC. Also, I wish that there was more time getting to know the characters as individuals. I feel like there was too much narrative focused on inner pining rather than meaningful dialogue.
Overall, I would recommend this book if you're looking for a quick read. I finished it in a day.

I have been scouring the internet for a deserted island romance for AGES and I finally found one. (Please give me your recs if you know of more).
I found this book to be alright. It was a nice quick read, that gave off second chance rom com, vibes. The banter between the two main characters was pretty cute, and I felt Kat's character was pretty well developed. Didn't love Weston though, seemed sexist, clueless and I just found him a little annoying. There were some interesting twists that I wasn't expecting regarding that island that kept me intrigued!
Overall an alright read :)

Kat and West had such a fun adventurous story! I absolutely loved and adored this book. I loved how the romance mixed in with the plot and gave survivor vibes! Also loved how it touched on indigenous backgrounds and fame how it can be portrayed. I went into this completely blind and I don’t regret a single thing! West was not what I thought he was going to be like from the beginning versus the ending. I love me a man who sings and plays instruments but also has that bad boy dominant vibe but can switch it up and be gentle. Kat was just fierce, so smart and it was heartwarming watching her confidence grow and walls come down. There were definitely parts where it was touching and emotional. I need more! Cannot wait for book 2! Would definitely recommend as a summer book and perfect to take on a getaway. Just don’t fall overboard!😉🌊🥥🫶🏻

This was one crazy story that I fell absolutely in love with rock star West.
It took falling into open water together and getting stranded on an island, get bitten by snake, chased and shot at by drug lord baddies and many other craziness trying to keep them apart to realise they were always meant to be together.
They had to survive together, peel away many layers to find their true feelings. But even once they were safe and knew they loved eachother. Fear stopped her from taking a gamble to truly be together. But that man would do anything for her, make all her dreams come true.
"If you build it, they will come."
Always love a good music themed romance 😁
Definetly worth a read!

When a rockstar named Weston Monroe and his backup singer, Katrina Brooks get tossed off a yacht in the ocean it is a race for survival. Not just from the elements but each other as well. They don’t see eye to eye but maybe this incident can find a way to get them to see each other in a new light. An adventurous romance that seemed a little “unbelievable survival situations” at times. A quick weekend read that mixes the rockstar world with survivor. This is the first book by this author. Told in third person

Thank you, Love Notes PR, for allowing me the opportunity to ARC read this book.
I don't usually like when books are written in third person, but I actually enjoyed it in this book. That was a really fun discovery. This book gave me a few flashbacks to Life of Pi since there are people stranded on an island. The plot was really nice, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading about Kat. She was definitely my favorite character in this book with her strength and Native representation.
Overall, this book was a cute, fun read

*ARC* Stranded on an island
This book was very different from my normal romances. These two main characters had a bit of a history and not a very good one.
You follow a famous singer and his backup singer/pianist. Who are ending their last tour in Indonesia. But something happens on the yacht, and they end up in the middle of the ocean. Their survival skills bring them closer together, and feelings start to surface.
This was like an action movie in my head, and I absolutely loved it. I enjoyed seeing how these characters grew into what they didn't know they wanted to be. It was great!

Loved just about everything - didn't connect with FMC
Plot: 4📍
Spice: 2🌶️
Overall: 3.5 ⭐
This story has a plot I'd pay money to go watch on the Big Screen (I think I have!) and I loved it! Yacht accident leads to being stranded on a deserted island? MCs have tension from the past that boils over? MMC clearly states he's always wished he could do over said past? And proved to the FMC in words and actions (over and over). Sign me up!
Spicy fun on the island in the rain? Oh my!
Wait... dubious characters - what?!? Missing money? Oh goodness! MCs aren't perfect and have to figure the medley out? 😙👌🏼
I love a good plot interwoven with the spicy and story and this book DEFINITELY delivered on that front for me! *chef's kiss!*
And I loved how self aware the MMC was - West, from the get go, understands both the inherent leg up he had due to his background and upbringing as well as where those same advantages can be a detriment. He grew up with wealth, but lacked some of that normalcy that grounds us.
West ,while he may be reluctant to discuss those holdover shortcomings or past traumas, accepts them and acknowledges them.
This FMC, Katrina, or Kat, just did not do it for me, though.
The pity party she continually threw for herself? The blaming of others for her problems? The absolute inability to except her own shortcomings and responsibilities in her life choices? Claiming she's never seen herself represented in certain spaces?
Girl. You're supposed to be 30 and you're still this childish?!? No. Just no. For me, she was incredibly unlikable and found myself constantly eye-rolling at her naive, single-minded, and narrow-scoped opinions.
“...just be who you want to be, Kat. You’ve clearly worked hard to understand your culture and your people, to get back to your roots. … So next time you feel like an imposter, just remember that.” Exactly!
Without giving anything away: I can see exactly what the author was hoping to bring across cultural barriers. But it fell short for me coming across as absolutist race-blaming for past atrocities absolutely NO ONE (at least no one worth giving any attention to) disputes or condones.
Overall: it really wasn't bad. I loved the plot, loved the MMC, loved the various tropes (I'm a sucker for Forced Proximity & Enemies to Lovers) and I really appreciated the attempts at representation. But I struggled with the immaturity of the FMC.
Last note: As someone who herself is an absolute patchwork of misfit pieces, I speak from experience: YOU have to decide how you carry yourself: with grace and confidence? or doubt and insecurity?
And never give the naysayers an ounce of your energy.
They're not worth it.

After 10 years of Kat Brooks working for rock star Weston Monroe, Weston has suddenly announced that he is going to be retiring while on their end-of-tour vacation. When they finally find an uncharted island to stay in, they are now trying to work together for their survival. With their unpacked baggage, different lifestyles, a history of making music together for years, how will they survive with just the two of them together?
Review:

The story first dealt with the romance between the two and then their survivability and so much more that I do not dare spoil. I was both nervous and excited as I turn the pages. I could remember that I found myself chanting in my head with "no, no, no", "stop!", "nooooo". Every chapter has something to look forward to.
Besides being an entertaining read, this book revolves around the topics of love, honesty, self-worth, friendship, trust and survivability (and I'm not just talking about in an island). I did love how the two main characters are constantly thinking about the other even as they are face to face. No matter what happened around them, they never forget to feel.

I was instantly hooked through Jillian’s writing style, and loved every minute of this book. This isn’t your typical rockstar romance, this has elements of suspense, and it kept me hooked. Weston is my favorite character, and I found him annoying at times. Would still recommend.

It took just one misstep to send musician Kat Brooks and arrogant rock star Weston
Monroe tumbling from his luxury yacht. Now she’s stranded on a deserted island with the
man who’s ruined her life. Things, surely, couldn’t get any worse...
Katrina Brooks has spent years in the background dreaming of the chance to share her voice. Instead, Kat’s music career is destroyed when her boss, the king of romantic rock songs, Weston Monroe announces his surprise retirement during their end-of-tour vacation. To add insult to injury, Kat finds herself floating in the Indian Ocean with Weston and no land in sight.
Weston’s reasons for early retirement aren’t anyone’s business but his—even if his piano-playing background singer thinks otherwise. Drifting in the ocean with nowhere to hide, he is forced to confront Kat and years of their unresolved sexual baggage, without a drop of whiskey in sight.
After washing ashore on an uncharted island, they discover it’s not just the natural world hindering their survival. Making it back to civilization in one piece, and without breaking each other's hearts, just got more complicated.

I have to be honest, I wasn’t a huge fan of this one, mainly because I just didn’t really like Kat. I found her quite annoying, whiny, and extremely insecure, which made it frustrating to read. We get it—he’s a rockstar with crazy fans, and you feel like you’ll never measure up. But Weston has given you no reason not to trust him. Yet, Kat constantly finds silly reasons to avoid having an adult conversation and taking responsibility for her own choices.
Usually, I don’t mind when a female main character has insecurities in a relationship, but in this case, Kat was projecting her issues onto Weston, expecting him to fix them. No amount of "I love you" can resolve problems that stem from her own insecurities. Yes, Weston made decisions that affected her, but she had no right to be so defensive, acting like he needed her approval for his choices; even after he explained his reasons for doing what he did, his reasons weren't enough for her. And let’s not forget the grudge she held against him for ten years—it felt so childish and immature. Refusing to have an adult conversation to clear things up just because her feelings were hurt, especially when they weren’t even an item at the time, was exasperating.
Some parts of the storyline felt unrealistic. One minute, Kat is out of touch with her roots, and the next, she’s mixing herbs and curing Weston—how does that happen? Also, she’s portrayed as a strong, independent woman who doesn’t want to be just a man’s arm candy but gets in her feelings and starts doubting his intentions when he does exactly as she wants. Honestly, this was a very tiring read.
In the end, while there were some enjoyable moments, Kat’s character made it difficult to fully appreciate the story.

In Uncharted Desires by Jillian Sharp, Katrina "Kat" Brooks has devoted the last decade to back up singing and playing the piano for Weston "West" Monroe. West's romantic songs keep money, women, and drinks flowing freely, and everyone in his entourage is along for the ride. At one point, Kat thought she meant something to him, but he hasn't revisited their kiss in years, choosing to treat her with polite indifference. During a vacation he provided for his production crew and without warning, West announces his retirement on social media, and it sends his fans and everyone around him into a tailspin. Later that night, Kat finds West overboard, and she struggles to get him back on the boat. Instead, she topples into the water with him, and they end up on one of India's unchartered islands.
Jillian Sharp's representation of indigenous people shines through in Kat. Her talent and spunk radiate from her as easily as West's suave demeanor makes him seem both desirable and unattainable. Sharp brings to light the struggles of indigenous people, and touches on past and present hardships and stereotypes. Sharp's writing is impeccable as she fuses romance with the right amount of suspense. Several times, readers will wonder if Kat and West will end up together, and if they do, will they survive to form a relationship. The sizzling scenes betray a true connection between the two, and if they could read each other's thoughts like we do, they would know they were meant for each other. Uncharted Desires explores an almost enemies-to-lovers romance with several suspenseful situations.

As if she didn’t already have some hard feelings towards her boss for turning her down years ago and then unexpectedly retiring from business early—meaning Kat is out of a job. Then she inadvertently falls overboard with boss and rockstar West and they get stranded on an island together. Survival and chaos ensues as they are forced to confront each other and hash out their problems.
This is a debut book from this author and I can definitely see the potential this author has in her writing. I liked Kat’s character and having Indigenous representation which I don’t see much in literature. After Kat lands on the island with Weston, she realizes she misses her roots and wants to be in nature more. I loved learning more about her culture and the journey Kat goes through.
However, I absolutely hated Weston’s character. He was a stereotypical privileged white guy that doesn’t think about how his actions have consequences for others. I couldn’t stand how he was constantly making decisions for Kat without communicating with her. He had barely any growth throughout the story and I just found him incredibly frustrating.
I also found the plot to be a bit lackluster which is crazy considering how much action is happening throughout the story. Even with the action sequences, I was bored. I found many of the troubles Kat and West run into quite far-fetched and the solutions to be rather convenient and quickly resolved. Their love story was hard for me to believe as well. They just didn’t seem like people that really fit well together, so it made the overall plot hard to believe as well.
Overall, this wasn’t a bad book, but it also wasn’t my favorite.

**Uncharted Desires** by Jillian Sharp tells the riveting tale of Katrina Brooks and Weston Monroe as they embark on a perilous journey for survival. Kat, a talented musician with dreams of stardom, found herself working as a pianist and backup singer for the arrogant star, Weston. After a decade of collaboration, Weston's sudden retirement announcement at the end of their tour left Kat uncertain about her future. However, the true challenge emerged one night after a yacht party when Weston accidentally fell into the ocean, dragging Kat with him in her attempt to save him. Stranded on a remote island, the two faced the raw elements, uncovered terrifying secrets, and encountered unexpected dangers, all while breaking down personal barriers and igniting a passionate connection.
**Uncharted Desires** captivated me with its blend of suspense, slow-burn romance, and intricate plot twists. The story weaves together themes of crime, career aspirations, race, and deception, creating a rich and satisfying read. I was particularly drawn to Kat and Weston’s characters. Kat, a fearless and resilient woman, showed incredible growth and strength, while Weston’s transformation from a hardened exterior to a more vulnerable, sweet nature was compelling. This story serves as a reminder that sometimes, people mask their pain with toughness, and it’s essential to approach them with sincerity and patience. The characters of Declan and Luke further illustrate the pitfalls of mixing personal relationships with business. Jillian Sharp's writing is brilliant, and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of this book.

I love forced proximity stories and also rockstar ones too:) So I wanted to read this one. This cover is amazing too! It is very eye catching and even my 9 year old was like "Mom, this cover is so cute!"
The author did a great job writing a romcom that was interesting to the reader and also a great romantic comedy overall. Kat works for Weston who is an aging romantic songwriter and singer. She is a background singer for him and has not had any success in music herself. Weston announces his retirement from music leaving Kat in the lurch.
Something happens on board the boat they are on and Weston and Kat and they end up stranded on a island together, even though Kat hates Weston now for retiring without her knowing. The author wrote the chemistry between Kat and West really well. You can really tell the sexual tension between the two of them while they are on the deserted island.
The survival writing of being on a deserted island is very well researched too. I can tell the authors that really put a lot of research into their writing and this was one of them. There was a lot of chemistry between Kat and West too. And all of that surrounded by drug cartels and drug runners! That was also an interesting part of this story too, as it is really adds a lot to the plot of the book. It makes it kind of like a thriller as you are reading it😊 And that ending was nicely wrapped up in a bow and yes I love that last line West says to Kat, YES PLEASE!
I can not wait to read the next story in the books where we get to see Cher find love with someone in Uncharted Territory!

"Uncharted Desires," Jillian Sharp's debut book, is a vivid masterpiece stitched with themes of romance, exploration, and self-discovery that draws readers in from the first page. The story is driven by suspense and passion as the odd combination of rock star Weston Monroe and backing vocalist Katrina Brooks creates a combustible dynamic against the setting of a terrifying survival crisis following a luxury boat disaster. Their adventure through the dangers of the wild seas and the difficulties of living alone on an island acts as an obstacle course for their developing bond as they face both outside threats and the ghosts of their pasts.
.
Sharp's careful management of character development and thematic depth reveals her literary talent. The plot is made richer by the portrayal of indigenous culture, which smoothly integrates with the main narrative arc and provides insights into history and customs!
.
Beyond the confines of their troubled relationship, Kat and Weston are connected in ways that are beyond their relationship's conflict by the thematic element of music. It gives their interactions a magical touch and gives the narrative a charming, whimsical quality that is delightful!
.
The novel's excellent capture of people' emotional development and self-awareness is among its strongest points. Every character in the novel, from Kat and Weston to the supporting ensemble, has their own own struggles and coping strategies, which gives their interactions and development throughout the narrative a genuine and nuanced quality!

The most recent book by Jillian Sharp, “Uncharted Desires” is a mind-blowing and amazing adventure across the perilous elements of heartbreak, self-discovery, and unanticipated love! This captivating story, which is set against the breathtaking background of an abandoned island in the Indian Ocean, that has carried me to a place where two lonely souls are forced to face their innermost desires, their pasts, and each other!
.
The main character, Kat Brooks, is a gifted singer whose hopes were dashed by the quirks of fate and the conceit of rock star Weston Monroe. She ends up stuck on a deserted island with the guy who completely changed her life. However, as they battle to survive the weather and one another, they learn that their shared experience could just be the spark that ignites forgiveness and rebirth!
.
I was lured farther into the island’s wild beauty and the psychological landscapes of its people as the narrative progresses. Sharp’s evocative words create such a vivid image that you can almost feel the sun on your skin and taste the salt in the air, from the lush greenery to the glistening coastlines!
.
I rate this 5 stars because the romance was sizzling, igniting the pages with palpable chemistry between the characters. From the sparks of their banter to the fiery passion that smolders beneath the surface, Jillian Sharp’s portrayal of Kat and West’s relationship is nothing short of electrifying!

Kat and West have spent ten years together touring and , but after they crossed the line years ago their relationship is strained and becomes even worse when West decides to retire from his music career without telling Kat and her fellow back up singers first. As they enjoy their end of tour vacation together, West gets drunk and falls o we the edge of the yacht. Kat tries to save him, and her rescue attempt is hilarious! She fails and they plunge into the ocean eventually washing up on an u charted island, or so they think.
I was fortunate enough to BETA read this novel, and I can’t believe it’s a debut!!
It was not what I was expecting, but in a good way. There was so much depth and heart to this romance and the characters had so much tension and individual development, and plenty of humor that had me laughing out loud. I loved that Kat was indigenous, it was great to see insight into a culture I didn’t know much about.
The slow burn was worth the wait, and I’d say the spice level is about 🌶️🌶️/5 it’s there but not the whole story.
I can’t wait until this is released. Anyone who wants a romance with some adventure and intrigue needs to read it!!

So many things happened in this book. I have so many different thoughts and I don't know how to express how I feel about it lol.
I really loved and appreciated Kat's journey in finding herself as an indigenous person still healing from the impact of white supremacy/colonization. I think Jillian did such a great job of showing her hidden and deeply complex feelings of growing as someone who is remembering the beauty of her culture and dealing with the imposter syndrome that comes up due to her not growing up on the reservation and feeling like a black sheep.
There were so many moments that felt cute and campy, and others that were like wow shit just got real, REAL quick. I'm not a huge fan of rockstar romances (I misread the description and thought Kat was the rockstar and West wasn't and was interested in the reversed trope) so if you are you may enjoy the romance aspect more than I did. It's not that I didn't enjoy it, they just weren't a couple that I LOVED - even though the smut in this was hot lol. West pissed me off at bit at the end but he did do a good amount of groveling so I was happy there was a HEA.

I really enjoyed this fast paced rom com! The plot of this book was so exciting! Definitely something I don’t read very often.

Rockstar West and backup singer Kat have worked together for 10 years and have a rocky history. After they both fall off a yacht, they end up stranded together on an island and all hell breaks loose.
There is action, danger, romance, mystery and all the hijinks that go along with being trapped with the person they love to hate.
I loved the journey that Kat went on during this story. She goes from being insecure about herself, her place in the world and what she brings to it to realizing that she is pretty bad ass and that her calling in life wasn’t exactly what she thought it was going to be.
Jillian Sharp did a great job with this book and I can’t wait to read the next in the series! Oh, and the cover of this book is SO cute!
Thank you to Good Girls PR and Jillian Sharp for the ARC!

Uncharted Desires gives us a look at the struggles people of mixed races can face, especially the experiences of those who come from indigenous roots. I loved that Jillian shared some of her own experiences through Kat.
Kat and West have a messy history and it becomes even more messy when West announces he’s going to step away from music, leaving his backup singers and musicians needing to find other work. They are forced to work out their issues when they end up stranded on an island together.
I really enjoyed the twists and turns these two go through. It kept the story exciting and I never knew what was going to happen next! It’s such a fun story with some heavy, serious topics to give the characters more depth.

I LOVED KAT! She was a complete badass who had such an awareness of the world and had aspirations to learn more and leave the world better than she found it. I wish this book was more centrally focused on her character and her development.
Kat and Weston's chemistry fell very flat for me. I was not convinced of their feelings for one another. I potentially believe that their relationship would have done better through a span of books. I just think Weston had so much growing up to do on his own, and he owed Kat the time to reflect and determine what he wants out of his life. Kat does not deserve the Weston that he was for the majority of the book.
I enjoyed them being stranded on an island and surviving some extreme circumstances! Kat becoming more in tune with her Native American roots was the most compelling part of this story.
