Jennifer Marshall Bleakley is the author of Joey, Project Solomon, and the Pawverbs devotional series. She has a master’s degree in mental health counseling and worked for several years as a grief counselor. Jen loves writing stories about the ways animals can teach us about ourselves, each other, and about God—and how they can even point our hearts toward hope.

Wonderful stories written by Jennifer Marshall Bleakley, you will laugh and cry, she writes from the heart. The connection we have with God and our animals or fur baby acquaintance's, horses, dogs or a fish. It’s an easy read and so insightful about His unwavering love for us. Animals can sense our hearts and know when we are broken inside, but they are always willing to stand by us through the roller coaster of Life. She gives awareness and understanding through the Book of Psalms.

With pages filled with puppies and kittens, this book is the most heartwarming way to seek healing and God's wisdom amidst darkness and despair. With each story opening with a passage from Psalms and followed by actual stories involving an animal, for those going through hard season, these words will inspire one to experience God in a new way.

Additionally, these chapters will motivate and invite one to see oneself and the loved ones reflected in the stories. There is so much heart and, at the same time, the stories will offer a lot to ponder throughout the day. I cherished the time spending with PAWS IN HIS PRESENCE.

I'm a big fan of any animal Christian devotionals and ever since I read the inspiring story of Joey by Jennifer Marshall Bleakley I couldn't wait to read her next book.I especially loved this book because of the palms scriptures noted in each chapter along with the personal heartwarming and sometime heartbreaking stories we all can relate to!
The pictures were so adorable and precious,anything with animals(including horses) I can't ever pass up.
This devotional would make for a lovely gift gor any animal lover😊😎

This book is written by an inspiring writer, Jennifer Marshall Bleakley. If you love animals and love God, these 50 stories are uplifting, emotional, funny and she writes passionately. She gives insight about what we can learn from the animals in our lives, open our mind and be aware of the connection with God, through the book of Psalms. He loves us unconditionally just like our family dog. Always teaching us how these relationships with our animals intertwine with the word of God.

I quickly fell in love with this devotional book combining everyday stories of people and their pets, with inspiration and faith. The author draws on the Psalms in each devotion, sharing scripture, a true story involving a pet or animal, questions to ponder, and a prayer. Full color photographs and quality printing add to the beauty of the book. I bought one for myself and one to give to a friend. Highly recommended, especially for animal lovers. God uses our furry companions in wonderful ways!
