Rate this book
Wei Ho was death incarnate. He could slake his thirst for blood whenever and wherever he wanted. He had chosen the hunters of his private army very carefully - they were some of the most vicious hoodlums in the world.

Now he had his own plutonium factory. And it was protected by a web of organized intrigue. Only one squad could take out Wei Ho and prevent global tragedy: Mack Bolan s Able Team!

To neutralize Ho s goulish scheme, Lyons, Schwarz, and Blancanales probed to the core of the maniac s domain in South America - but all they found there were blameless native slaves. Would there be a massacre of innocents before the despots could be delivered to hell?

The team is at it again. This time they are up against a ruthless Chinese warlord out to make nuclear weapons. It all takes place in, you guessed it, The Amazon. Pretty decent book. It does get a bit to technical. "Gun porn" as I've heard it called. It bogs down here and there, but ends well. Not the best Able Team.

I have decided that I wanted to go back in time and read all these Able Team books I could find. I first read them when I was in junior high and high school.

Our Able Team heroes are sent deep into the Amazon to investigate what appears to be a nuclear incident of some kind, where no nuclear incidents should be. What's going on? "Go and find out, Able Team, and here...take a planeload of weaponry with you. Because you're going to have to kill a shitload of people down there!" These books are only as good as their villains, and this one had one main bad guy, Wei Ho, and a couple of evil sidekicks, including a heroin ravaged nuclear scientist, and an army of thugs and renegades to carry out their evil nuclear plans. Unfortunately, we don't get to spend a lot of time with Wei Ho and his twisted henchman Chan Sann. Instead, we get Able Team, along with the assistance of native Xavante warriors, tearing ass through the Amazon and killing Wei Ho's undisciplined mercenaries. Bullets, grenades, and guts, brains and body parts fly. Published in March 1983, this was only the 4th Able Team adventure and was part of the Mack Bolan universe. Bloody groovy!

A really good chapter in the series that kept my interest throughout. This time the team is in the Amazon between Brazil and Bolivia. A madman has raised a mercenary army and paid off a few members of the Brazilian army. He did this to build nuclear reactors to make Plutonium for bombs. He uses the locals as slaves. Able Team has to go in by using the locals as guides and extra gunmen, take out the mercenary army, and take over the reactors.

Highly recommended, the only one in the series by CJ Shiao which is a shame since I think he wrote the team well.

Able Team goes to the Amazon to battle slavers and Wei Ho who is trying to build a nuclear facility deep in the jungle. They team up with indigenous dudes to kill everyone with brutality.
There’s not much to this really. It’s very simple good guys kill bad guys stuff with lots of gore and gun detail. It gets a little preposterous how able team always gets headshots, are basically immune to getting hurt, etc but it’s action escapism as only the 80s could make. Fun enough.

This is a pretty good early evil team with decent action and actually some unhinged parts especially when Lyons accidentally ingest some kind of psychedelic native drug and goes full native stripping down to nothing but a loin cloth and war paint - as well as his full armament of weapons, including shotguns, and two pistols- great early pulpy gun porn for men and a fun read, though it does become a bit tedious at the end as the final battle isn’t really well written

One of the more violent and graphic instalments, but it’s Able Team dammit. Action escapism.

A spin off series from his Executioner books. This series follows several secondary characters that band together. Recommended
