This poetry book tells the story of a boy who struggles with the forceful pain of loss. In his darkness, he fights against the hardening of his protective shell. He is reminded by his angels of the eternal nature of life, that he is forever surrounded spiritually. This opens a crack for which he explores love and possibility, only to be reminded of mortality with another loss. Now with a new perspective he heals in the darkness. He chooses to live despite knowing one day he too will find his end.
