Saving the Sacrifice: Karolina Season 1 Volume 1

Rate this book
"I named you Karolina because you were born during a hurricane. You're a storm, destructive to yourself and others, an unnatural abomination, the embodiment of great sin."

Three hundred years after another Great War, the human population is decimated, and 1/3 of the remaining population is brainwashed into a vengeful cult.

Stained from birth, hidden from the world, and prepped for sacrifice - shame and fear are the ruling forces of Karolina's existence until a mysterious stranger frees her from her prison and runs away with her into the night.

But what if Kari was never meant to be free? What if the evil that she was running from... was herself?

This is Season 1, Volume 1 of a post-apocalyptic, occult thriller, slow burn age gap romance novella series.

The story is intriguing and I will continue with the next volume to see where it goes. Karolina has been locked up in a cellar since she was born to absolve her mother’s sins. She only understands that it’s her destiny to be sacrificed so that her mother may atone for her sins but one day a man comes to free her from her prison. Karolina must make the decision to trust and follow this man she’s never met or knows and be free or to stay as her mother’s sacrifice.
