Do I Still Matter? by Kim Taylor Henry is a tender, faith-infused guide for every woman standing at the crossroads of change when mirrors reflect not just age, but questions of meaning, identity, and divine purpose.

Through forty beautifully crafted daily readings, Kim writes with warmth, humor, and spiritual depth, addressing the quiet fears that come with growing older: the fading of roles, the shifting of dreams, the soft ache of wondering if you still make a difference. Her voice is not that of a distant teacher but of a friend one who’s walked the same road and found reassurance in God’s unwavering presence and promise.

Each devotion blends biblical wisdom with personal reflection, offering practical encouragement to embrace this season not as a decline, but as a sacred transition into greater faith and purpose. Kim reminds readers that the question “Do I still matter?” is answered every day by a God who says, Yes profoundly, beautifully, eternally.

Gentle, wise, and full of grace, Do I Still Matter? stands alongside works like Sheila Walsh’s It’s Okay Not to Be Okay and Max Lucado’s You Are Never Alone a life-giving companion for women who long to rediscover their worth through faith.

Do I Still Matter? The Secrets of Aging with Faith and Purpose by Kimberly Taylor Henry is a book that is so timely for many of us today. I am like many who are at retirement age but haven’t reached the “elderly age” yet. Still, I do not always have the strength or the stamina to do what I could do when I was thirty, yet I can do some things. This was such an encouraging book for me.

Each devotional filled is filled with Bible, quotes, secrets to put in my heart and mind and even anecdotes from others. Wonderful from beginning to end. This is one book I will be gifting my friends who must also be wondering, “Do we still matter,” because thank you, Lord, we do.

Do I Still Matter is another wonderful Our Daily Bread devotional for women It starts with a verse about the theme of the day, a short devotional including more verses, a prayer and ends with a "take away" to summarize the concept.
When I requested the book, it stated it was for those no longer middle aged, but also not elderly and I would say that was correct. The topics included grandparenting, retirement, and relationships with adult children and more. I am younger than the age it's geared at, but I still found it very impactful to my life. I think others will also who are middle age and beyond.
I received this book complimentary thanks to Net Galley, but all opinions are my own.

Gave me some things to think about but I think some Scripture was taken out of context.
