Little dinosaurs have a lot of emotions. They feel sadness when they lose something, anxiety when they face something new, shame when they make a mistake, frustration when they can’t get what they want, and more.
This realistic and compassionate story helps kids recognize and accept their emotions.
*It is okay to have different emotions and feel them *Learn how to name, understand, and communicate your emotions *Helping your child develop emotional intelligence and confidence *Emotions can also be a source of strength and growth

The illustrations are gorgeous, as is the book design. I was hoping for more explanations about feelings rather than cute rhymes, but considering the audience I understand the writer's choices. Great for very young children!
A random book pick-up from Kindle since of the fact that it does discuss emotions while combining them with cute chibi dinosaur characters.
My Emotional Dinosaurs is a cute book that although it doesn't directly confront the reader with information about emotions does provide young readers with scenarios that they are common to find themselves in and possibly with same emotions as portrayed in the book, some physical signs in the little dino characters, a common emotional phrase and some idea or platitude on how the reader may fix themselves if they are feeling that way in their own day-to-day.
Each page of an emotion has a small chibi dinosaur character as seen on the cover whose color palette matches the emotion it is portraying thus meaning a lot of the colors are a bit on the muted side with one or two exceptions. There is no noticeable realism but as a result it does make for a nice relaxed read that focuses on its main subject instead of the dinosaurs.
All in all it was probably one of the better reads that I have picked up today and one that will make for a good discussion book to help young readers understand some of the feelings that they are facing in their own lives.
I would definitely rec this book for teachers, moms and dads, and caregivers who have children that struggle with social-emotional support.
This book aligns with early childhood frameworks emphasizing emotional intelligence, self-awareness, and social-emotional competence. Caregivers and educators often use it as an introductory tool to foster guided discussions about identifying emotions, validating feelings, and practicing mindfulness or grounding practices.
My 2 year old son and I both really enjoyed reading this book together. It could use a little more in the pictures as he is still very little and the pictures help him to understand the words a little bit better but all in all it was a very cute book that helps with emotions. Will definitely have to keep this one handy for explaining how he feels.
I liked that my daughter seemed invested with each dinosaur and figuring out the emotions. In my opinion, the rhymes didn't always make sense contextually. Joyful and glad seemed a repetitive emotion. Overall it was a good way to end our night with this story. The cute art allowed me to scaffold learning emotions with my daughter
I enjoyed reading this with my son! Really beautiful and accessible for all ages and such a valuable topic to share. Helpful for adults nurturing their own inner child too!
I don't have any kids to read this book to but I might read to my kids in Sunday School. I think that this is a nice way to introduce sometimes hard emotions to small kids. Adults could use as a way to talk about emotions.
Enjoyed reading this with different voices to try and express the emotions we read. A wonderful short read to share with your little ones that I’m sure they’ll enjoy. My son enjoyed this story with giggles and mimicked the emotions as well.
This isn't a story book, so I wouldn't read it at bedtime, but that's a personal preference. It's a book with an emotion described on a page spread. For example, glad, sad, and disappointed are a few of the 12 emotions described. This is a great book to discuss feelings with a little one.
My Emotional Dinosaurs by Luna Lark – This was an Amazon freebie. I love tools that give little readers the vocabulary to express themselves! Happy Reading!
Extremely cute bedtime stories book. Can't wait to read with my nephew, as he loves dinosaurs. Teaches young children about different emotions. Love it.
I love this book ! My 6 year old is in kindergarten (late Birthday) and is having a bit of trouble(ADHD) so this book was great to explain all the feeling and him point out to me what he's feeling .
