Amazing grace, how sweet the sound! In a few minutes a day, focus your worship this year on the heights and depths of God's love with 365 devotions written by a diverse group of beloved Our Daily Bread authors. With a classic hymn providing a theme for each month, you'll celebrate the gift of salvation, deliverance from sin, abundant forgiveness, and the faithful protection experienced through God's unfailing grace.
Someone gave me this devotional book for Christmas in December 2024. In fact, several ladies in our family received a copy of this book as well, and we enjoyed sharing how that day’s devotion affected us.
The book starts each week with a backstory on an old traditional hymn with ‘grace’ as the theme. The obvious start was with the beautiful ‘Amazing Grace’ and the story of the man who wrote that song.
It goes from January to December 2025–but if you find a copy, pick it up anyway. These one-page devotions are so easy to incorporate into your day. I found it was a great way to start the day- but if you read at night, it's a great way to end the day with peaceful thoughts.
Overall, we all enjoyed this devotional book so much that we requested ‘Our Daily Bread: Blessings for 2026 for Christmas.
I had heard of “Our Daily Bread” ministries but had read none of their material. I’m so glad I received this book for Christmas because I would have been missing out on some lovely and important messages.
Amazing Grace by Our Daily Bread Ministries is a year of thoughtful devotions on the theme of grace. What a marvelous collection this is. Beginning with the background of the writer of Amazing Grace and ending with New Beginnings this is a devotional not to be missed. Taken from past monthly Our Daily Bread archives, these are short devotional focusing and teaching on grace. How we so need it today and then need show it to others in our lives. I loved the in depth look at a sone each month as well as the variety of authors. Perfect for personal use or as a wonderful holiday gift to someone as we celebrate God’s gift of grace through Christ to us all.
My only suggestion would have been an added idea of life application with journaling space, along with the reflection statement at the end of each day.
