As a big fan of Chicken Soup for the Soul, I really needed to read Bald Solomon’s Path Enriched and its unique perspective on “self-help fiction.” It's admirable how Solomon combines the story of an unplanned pregnancy with personal reflections that resonate with whatever challenges the reader might be facing. Delilah Boaz’s situation can be seen in many ways, some may view it positively, others not, but the way the author develops the characters and their journey of support with her is fantastic.
What I appreciated most is that, even though it's a fictional story, it made me reflect on my own unplanned problems in life, which I often see in the same way people view an unplanned pregnancy. It also made me think about the people who support me during those challenges and how they help me grow through difficult times.

Deliliah Boaz is stunned to find out she is pregnant. It wasn’t something she expected or planned for. Now, she is on a trip to Mexico City with her two competing boyfriends, Jude and Jobe, in tow. She is faced with uncertainty, but perhaps, with a little luck, she will figure out the best path forward for herself and the life growing inside her.
Belonging to the “self-help fiction” genre of literature, this novel is touching, full of exciting moments, and features memorable characters beautifully rendered. You won’t soon forget this tale that examines humanity’s ability to show courage in the face of harrowing events.

Admirable
This story made me put myself in the character's shoes, I got goose bumps, many of his experiences, feelings, frustrations I could feel as if they were mine.
I already knew the work of this author and that's why I knew I would not be disappointed. The book not only made me feel my skin crawl, but also stirred up even more my sense of fatherhood, the love I feel for my son but also put on the table the internal conflicts that being a parent can generate.

This is a big must read. I have always thought that getting pregnant has to be incredibly scary. And I’m glad to see I’m not the only one that thinks that’s way. It was highly entertaining to follow Delilah in her unplanned pregnancy. I don’t know if I could have handled it the way she did.
