Trick
My life ended in the blink of an eye. Everything I held in my heart was shattered by one bullet. Bound in my anger, I did the only thing I could and took revenge. It took eight months for me to come out of that vengeance-fuelled rage and realise I was losing the most important thing in my my daughter, Sophia and my club family. Rebuilding bridges and making amends is the only thing that matters now. I have to focus on my kid, and on reclaiming my rightful place in the Sons. But grief is a savage beast and I find comfort in the one person I know understands how I feel. Heidi has also suffered, but I find she’s a puzzle I can’t solve.
Heidi
Every day it feels like I’m drowning in my grief and my pain, until Sophia comes into my life. She gives me purpose and reminds me that life is worth living. For too long the shadows of my past have pulled me into the darkness and it’s time to start existing again. The club was once my sanctuary, my safe haven, but it’s become a prison. I know what the brothers and old ladies think about me and what they whisper behind closed doors. They think I’m crazy, unhinged, disloyal, but everything I’ve done has been to protect the people I love.
All books in the Untamed Sons universe can be read as standalones, but are better enjoyed read in order. This is a dark romantic story with a guaranteed happily ever after. It does have some strong language, graphic violence and content that might be triggering.
This is a well written book with strong characters in Trick and Heidi. The author does a great job developing the story and painting her scenes. She takes you into their lives with a second chance at romance filled with emotions. heartbreak. grief and pain. She adds in a bit of heat and delivers a terrific read. Great story/series!

Trick is Book 8 of the Manchester Chapter Untamed Sons MC series. I think this one might be my favorite, but it is a gut-wrenching roller coaster of grief, love, redemption, and second chances. Trick is a hunky, grieving, bitter biker whose wife had been murdered. He abandoned his club and daughter for vengeance. Heidi is also a bitter widow who lost her partner 4 years ago and holds a grudge against the club. She stepped in to raise Trick's daughter, Sophie, when he took off, and she is the one bright spot in her life. Now that Trick is back, he wants to be there for the club and his daughter, but does he still need Heidi? Can he do it on his own? Does he want to? This couple was so great together. They were bound by their grief but helped each other to heal. They had great chemistry, and we ended on a happy note, but wow, it was an emotional roller-coaster. This was a great ending to the series. I loved seeing old friends and watching Trick, Heidi, and Sophie become a family.

Reading the last book in the Untamed Sons MC Manchester Chapter is bittersweet. But what a ride it has been! And Trick gives it the most perfect ending. This is the story of two broken souls brought together by their grief amid dire circumstances.
Trick is finally back after having gone on a rampage against those who murdered his wife. The club has welcomed him back despite stripping him of his patch. He needs to show his brothers that he will never endanger them again. He is also ready to make up for the lost time with his daughter Sophia.
Heidi, an old lady who lost her husband four years ago, has been taking care of Sophia since Trick walked out of the club. She hates the Untamed Sons and their lifestyle, which she blames for the pain in her life. Now, she has to live with Trick as he retakes his role as Sophia's father.
Trick and Heidi are bound by pain and painful pasts. There is so much more to their story than what everyone assumes. Theirs is a heartbreaking and emotional second chance journey, and they deserve all the light amid the darkness.
Trick has been through so much in his life and when the most important person was taken from him, he turned to darkness that betrayed himself, his daughter and his club. Would there ever be a way back for him? Heidi lost so much too but took it upon herself to raise Sophia, Trick’s daughter. Heidi had blamed the club for her lose and they had no idea how extensive her lose really was.
The club was still out to get the man with no conscious who turned all of their lives upside down before he could claim even more from the club.
I loved how Trick and Heidi could be there for each other and eventually help each other heal in ways they never thought possible. The club action was nail biting and the love that came between Trick and his daughter and then Heidi was heartwarming. I highly recommend this book as well as the rest of the books in this series.
Trick is trying to come back into the fold of the Manchester Chapter of the Untamed Sons MC after going out on his own and against the orders of his President. Heidi is the woman who has taken care of his daughter since the day she was born. Heidi stepped up when Mara, Trick's wife, was murdered and Trick took off. Now he's back and trying to get to know his daughter but doesn't feel like he could ever handle this on his own. Will Trick get used to being a father and make Heidi leave or will he always need Heidi around. Pick up a copy of Trick to find out and if you haven't read the rest of the series, check it out.

Trick (Book 8 of Manchester Chapter Untamed Sons) by Jessica Ames is a motorcycle romance novel. This was a very emotional read and the perfect way to end the series. She definitely picked the best characters to end on and the whole club showed up for it. This book starts out dealing with grief and pain reaches for hope and ends on love and acceptance.
Trick has been out for revenge since losing his wife (old lady). He left everything his club, his life and his daughter Sophia to do this. Heidi, who is battling her own pain and grief, is raising Sophia as her own while he is away. When he returns can he live with or without Heidi in their lives?
Such a great book and series end. I look forward to more from this author.
TRICK is the eight and final instalment in Jessica Ames’ contemporary, adult UNTAMED SON MC: MANCHESTER CHAPTER erotic, MC romance series. This is Trick and Heidi’s story line. TRICK can be read as a stand alone but I recommend reading the series in order, or at the very least books six and seven where Trick’s life begins to spiral out of control.
NOTE: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.
Told from dual first person perspectives (Trick and Heidi) TRICK follows the building relationship between Heidi and Trick. Approximately sixteen months earlier, Trick’s pregnant wife was murdered, leaving Trick a single father but a father in need of desperate revenge. Disobeying his club, Trick went on a rampage that would eventually target the Untamed Sons MC, leaving Trick struggling for a place with the family he once loved. Meanwhile, Heidi, having suffered her own losses a few years earlier, volunteers to look after Trick’s daughter Sophia, in the wake of her father’s disappearance . With Trick’s return, he and Heidi struggle to accept what happened and why, and the Untamed Sons MC want their piece of flesh, taking aim at our story line hero but the enemy is still free, and once again, Heidi and Trick will be targeted in a game of betrayal and revenge.
The world building focuses on love and loss; on betrayal and vengeance; on desperation and determination as Trick must make amends for the pain he caused even though his pain Is great if not greater than those who are demanding reparations. Heidi has struggled since the murder of her husband, and a loss of which she keeps close to her heart. Falling for Trick was never in the cards but raising his daughter gives Heidi purposes, going forward.
The relationship between Heidi and Trick begins out of necessity. Trick disappears for weeks at a time, seeking revenge for the loss of his wife but Trick forgot about the child he left behind, and in doing so, Heidi stepped forward to help raise a child that wasn’t her own. As Trick and Heidi’s life becomes entangled, secrets reveal a devastating loss for our story line heroine. The $ex scenes are intimate and passionate.
There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters many of whom take aim at our story line hero. Trick has lost the trust and friendships from the people he once called brother but grief and death take its’ toll on everyone differently.
TRICK is a story of loss and grief, struggle and purpose, secrets and lies, forgiveness, acceptance and love. The premise is dramatic and emotional; the romance is fated; the characters are broken but struggling to heal.
Heidi is a tough cookie. We’ve seen her anger and bitterness at the club over the series due to a loss she suffered, but she stepped up and took on caring for Sophia while Trick went on a Vendetta. Heidi definitely has a big heart and while she is still dealing with her grief, she wants to return to having a family with the club and find her happiness again. She is very protective of Sophia and watches out for Trick.
Trick os coming to terms with his actions of the previous books and trying to make amends with the club. He was engulfed in grief with Mara’s death but realizes his actions have consequences. He wants to be a good father to Sophia and wants to repair his relationships with his brothers. He also becomes a confidante for Heidi, wanting her to feel that she has a place in the club. We see a transformation in him.
Heidi and Trick have suffered huge losses but find each other in their grief. They each take care of the other when needed and see things in each other that other people around them do not. There comes a point when they just gravitate toward the other and can tell something is up. They also work well together taking care of Sophia and will prioritize her above everything else. We see how they become comfortable with the other and are able the share things freely. They watch each others backs and work well together. There story will definitely bring you tears and smiles, and this is a pairing you cheer for.
Moreover, the overarching conflict with the Pioneers and Desmond Richardson comes to a head here as the club prioritizes trying to bring them down in order to find peace and safety. We see some familiar faces from the author’s other books pop in as this is a group edgy to bring down a villain that has terrorized these characters. There’s is definitely enough suspense here to keep the pages turning.
Overall this was an excellent read and a good way to end an incredible series.

This has everything we want from a good MC club series... a solid brotherhood, strong old ladies, bloody conflicts, vicious retributions, passionate protective men, and a fantastic conclusion to the series-long danger plaguing the club.
From the very first book in the Untamed Sons MC series in London (Ravage), through the Manchester chapter (starting with Howler), and the Fraser Crime Syndicate (starting with Fractured Vows), I have been WAITING for Desmond to get what's coming to him - for all the misery he caused (IYKYK), and this ending is exactly what I wanted.
(Oh yeah, and along the way, Heidi and Trick find what they need, of course...) 😉
My heart broke for Heidi, back when she experienced an unimaginable loss. Her feelings and attitude was understandable, but her friendship with Mara had her caring for Trick's daughter like she was her own. Good thing, because Trick went off looking for retribution.
This series is best when read in order, so all of these character's backstories make sense, and why both of these characters recognize the pain they see in each other. I absolutely loved the way these two found their HEA. The chemistry and steamy scenes of this couple is entertaining, as is the drama of the war that threatens everyone connected with the USMC, and the eventual end to the people responsible.
It was easy to lose myself in these pages, and I was at the end much too quickly for my liking!! This MC series has given me hours of enjoyment and these characters have a special place in my heart. If you haven't already experienced this series, you should! I can't wait to see what comes next from this talented author!!
This is the final book in the Manchester Chapter of the Untamed Sons MC series and at last the focus on Trick and Heidi. This is an MC book so please be aware of your triggers.
It’s fair to say Trick has definitely been through the wringer and he’s trying to get his life back on track. His actions, seeking vengeance on those responsible for the loss of his wife have cost him dear. He’s starting at the bottom at his Club without his patch and trying to regain his brothers trust while developing a relationship with his daughter and dealing with his Clubs enemies.
Four years on from the loss of her old man and an even more personal loss Heidi is still full of anger and grief, spitting venom at anyone and everyone. When her friend Mara was killed and Trick was caught up in his spiral of vengeance Heidi stepped up to care for Sophia. Now Trick is back where does she fit in with Sophia, Trick and the Club itself.
This book had me hooked from the start, at its heart was a story about two lost souls finding themselves, overcoming loss and grief as well as building trust and a future. There was lots of action and it was such a brilliant ending to such a fantastic MC Chapter. The characters were well written and I was so very invested, I went through such a gamut of emotions, I didn’t want this story to end. That being said I can’t wait to see what Jessica Ames has in store for us next, you want action, drama and all the emotions read this story, you won’t be disappointed.

Trick is a standalone romance by Jessica Ames, it is the eighth book of the Manchester Chapter Untamed Sons MC series but can easily be enjoyed as a standalone book.
This is a gritty and dark second chance romance. The characters lives revolve around the Untamed Sons Motorcycle Club, much of their behaviour is shady and more than a little of it is probably very much illegal. These are MC members that know what and who they are, there is a lot of danger in their lives and while they will fight for their club, even if it's to death, they are skirting the law as they do so.
In between all that is Trick and Heidi. They had been friends for years. However, in the past five years they have both lost their very much loved spouses to murder. These deaths have left both Trick an Heidi emotionally damaged. But Trick is ready to change, he has caused a great deal of grief for the MC and he wants to make amends. He also feels the need to make amends to Heidi since she has been practically raising Trick's baby daughter, born after her mother was murdered.
The is a long, hard and emotional read. I did cry quite a few times while reading. This book is recommended to anyone that likes a dark, and probably more realistic, ride (pun intended). If you enjoy lots of drama and morally gray characters this book may appeal to you.

Trick and Heidi. His wife was murdered and after thirteen months hes still having nightmares. Hes only going through life because of his daughter. He hadnt been a good father. Heidi was one the people who disliked him for that. She had been a part of the club married to Crow who was murdered 3 years ago. Which made her bitter and she blamed the MC and they just let her grieve by herself. But she finally came back to the family and when his wife died Heidi took care of his daughter. So now they all live in the same house. Its so wonderful how a pure innocent baby can make angels out of demons and calm a chaotic soul. Just looking at them make your heart full. G=Hes starting to look at Heidi differently more like a partner. Great read hes trying to re assemble back into the club, hes trying to be a better father, hes trying to fight his feelings for Heidi, hes trying to keep them safe from his enimies, and to get his brothers trust back hes going to endure a punishment thats rarely done and only once in the London Chapter that he knows of. Maybe he cant come back from what he did. I cant put this down Im reading at work OMG. This whole series is amazing and each book bleeds into the next.

I wanted to sob, smile and scream all the way through this story, two tortured souls coming together for the sake of a baby girl who lost her mum in horrifying circumstances. Trick was devastated by his loss and the fact his daughter had to be very quickly cut out of her mum to save her life threw him into madness. Given the biker lifestyle and how hard these tough guys fall for their women i feel his reactions were perfectly understandable. Heidi lost more than a husband and partner, she felt like she lost her family, stepping up for her friends baby daughter is the only thing that gave her life some meaning. Heartaching read, emotional but still full of danger and suspense. Lots of sweetness mixed in and i found it touching and inspirational. Fabulous characters who I have loved and followed throughout the series and honestly what a finish to that series this is. Grief and reactions to that are always an unknown until you go through it, I never judged Trick's but I'm glad in the end both he and Heidi find peace and happiness, both Mara and Crow would wish them nothing less. Now I need to dislodge the lump in my throat and dry my eyes. Phew...
This is the 8th book in the Manchester Chapter Untamed Sons MC series featuring Trick and Heidi's emotional tale of overcoming grief and rage to find a second chance at your HEA. When Trick loses his old lady he goes a little crazy from the grief and rage he feels. All he can focus on is revenge and he leaves his club, his daughter Sophia and his life all for his need for vengeance. Heidi has lost so much a baby that only her best-friend Mia knew about and a husband who was murdered by someone looking to hurt the club. Before she can even process these losses her best-friend Mia is murdered leaving her daughter Sophia without a mother. Since Trick's wife was her best-friend when he takes off Heidi steps up and in to take care of Sophia she raises her like she's her own. What happens when Trick finally returns to the club? Can he get to know his daughter Sophia without Heidi's help? You really need to read this emotional tale of overcoming grief and rage to find a second chance at your HEA to see what happens. I would recommend reading this book.

This book was always going to be a hard read given the build up and actions of both main characters. But my goodness it hits all the highs and lows.
I understand all parties in this book which in a way makes it harder. I understand Heidi’s hatred for the MC because of how her husband died and other events. The secrecy surrounding it and the lack of closure she feels. I understand Trick and why he did what he did, even if it did cause larger issues I get a man who feels he needs vengeance. I understand the club needing to look after the whole of the brothers and not just think of the needs of one….
But despite all this it’s hard to find a space in between where all parties can reconcile, yet the author does just that. It’s beautiful in how it unfolds too.
Obviously there is a smattering of steam and violence along the way and the story concludes fully in this series close.
A fantastic series.

I can’t believe the Manchester Sons MC series is over. It’s a little saddening, I loved this series so much. But Jessica concluded it perfectly w/Trick & Heidi. Their journey to get to a HEA wasn’t easy, but no two people deserved a second chance at finding love than they did. Both Trick & Heidi were struggling so much over the loss of their significant others, especially Heidi. She lost so much, my heart broke for her. After seeing Trick in books 6 & 7, I wasn’t a fan of his. He was spiraling w/so much anger & struggling over the death of his wife. Both of them were angry & lost in grief. She hated the club & what they represented, & Trick was out of control looking for revenge. I loved how fierce Heidi was. When she stood up to Hawk I smiling, it was great to see her protectiveness w/not only Sophia, but Trick too. As much as Heidi saved Trick & was exactly what he needed, he saved her too. They were both so broken, but together they fit perfectly. I can’t recommend this series enough, it’s absolutely amazing! I can’t wait to see what Jessica brings us next!
Trick is having nightmares. His wife was killed over a year ago and he withdrew forgetting about his daughter, Sophia. He is slowly coming back but it is hard. Heidi's husband was killed years ago and she became angry. She is slowly coming around. Then she finds hope in helping Trick with his daughter and steps in to help. Unfortunately for Trick when the Pioneers killed his wife he went rogue. When he saw the Pioneer's daughter he tore into her and beat her. He wanted to punish her dad by punishing her. But one of his brothers is her old man and he is still not over it. For Heidi she still holds the club accountable for her husband's death and her unborn child. Now she's helping Trick but still harbors a bit of hatred for the club. To add to the burden, the club is still very leery of Trick. Will he ever be able to get his brothers to trust him or will he have to leave? A story that will bring so many emotions to the reader that it will literally leave the reader wiped out.

Trick is a suspenseful, and a page-turning book which kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time I read this book. Trick's life a had tragic event which happened to be the murder of his wife. Trick has a young daughter by the name of Sophia. He knows he needs to do right for his daughter and be there for her. Heidi suffered a similar tragedy like Trick, Heidi's husband was murdered a few years before Trick's wife's murder. Heidi's grief made her become angry and blamed the club for the death of her husband which caused her to retreat away from the club. After the death of Mara, Heidi came back to help care for Trick's daughter. In the beginning Heidi didn't like how Trick was handling being there for his daughter, which got better as the story went on. The chemistry between Trick and Heidi is amazingly awesome. Trick didn't believe he deserved a second chance at love, but he found that with Heidi. I absolutely loved this book, and I'll definitely be checking out more books by this author.

I have read spin offs series that don't match up to the original. I have to say that the Manchester Club may be even better than the original... and I loved the original series, so that is saying a lot.
Spoiler alert if you haven't read the rest of the series: Trick's pregnant wife was killed by an enemy. He took vengeance into his own hands, which has resulted in him losing the trust of the club. Having been demoted from his position, Trick is working his way to make things better with the club.
Heidi had suffered her own loss when her husband went on a club job and getting killed as a result. Her anger inflicted a lot of resentment within the club. But the club is family, and family takes care of their own.
When circumstances bring Heidi and Trick together, they lean on each other for strength and healing, allowing them to see what was, what is and what can be.
This was a wonderful ending to a fantastic series. Everything tied up just perfectly in the end.

As expected this was a gripping read with Trick trying to find his place in the club again and in his daughters life after the havoc he caused on his path of revenge against the Pioneers for the death of his wife. It can’t be easy to lose your wife so violently, your unborn daughter having to be born before she died too, feeling like the club you love doesn’t have your back. Then coming back after taking so many lives to find out daughter being raised by your late best friends widow and the daughter of the man responsible for your wife’s death in your clubhouse, with a brother and welcomed by the brothers, of course he flipped . Attacking her was wrong, he could have killed her or their unborn baby. I understand Rages attitude towards Trick but at times I hated him for it. Heidi moved in to look after Sophia, she is still peeved with the club for Crow’s death so they have a common ground plus they both love the baby. I’m very happy with how their friendship turned into a relationship, 2 sad grieving souls finding love
Trick went to a dark place when the Pioneers murdered his wife Mara, it broke apart of him. In his grief, ignoring his club and his newborn daughter, he set on taking them out one by one. When he almost takes out one of his brother's old ladies it seems to snap him out of it. Now he need to make amends to his brothers and get to know his daughter, Sophia.
Heidi did not just lose her husband, Crow, she lost their child around the same time. She drowned out her grief in alcohol until her best friend died and left a little girl behind.
I loved Trick's story, him and Heidi help each other get past the pain of whom they both lost. From the ashes they both rise like the Phoenix. Will Desmond crush what they have together?.

This had to be the best of the series. I loved blackjacks book but this was an emotional ride from start to finish. I don’t even know how many times I cried! I would absolutely read more from this author. While she did kill off a character I liked to bring these two together and in such a way to really make you feel for them. I only read books 2,3,4 and 8 but I could still follow along with the series. I will probably go back and read the others. Because I like her writing style and her stories. Although I do think Rage can go screw himself and patch to another chapter. It was tricks home first! Read the book it’s worth it!.

What a shame we have come to the end of this great series. Heidi and Trick have been through a lot and experienced a lot of sadness. Their story is a tragedy and drove them apart and they both work hard to get back together and put everything that happened in the past to rest and find their way back to each other and to his club. Will they take the second chance to get a HEA together or is there someone lurking in the shadows to thwart that and ensure that they never get that chance and everything will be taken away from them again? This entire series is a great read and this was a great ending to the series.

I love the characters and world Jessica Ames has built. She has done an excellent job developing the characters and their stories. How she describes each scene makes it so easy to envision it in your head. This book was emotionally heavy at times, but it was ultimately worth it. The main characters had past trauma, and their healing process, which was so beautifully depicted, was a beacon of hope. The atonement and love between all the characters in this book were marvelous.
A significant life lesson was present: The life lesson highlighted in this book is not just powerful and thought-provoking, but it's a stark reminder of the profound impact our words and actions can have on others.

Trick is trying to earn his way back into the MC after his refusal to follow orders and protocol. Heidi has been taking care of his infant daughter after the death of his wife. Both of them have lost so much of their lives, and it was incredible to see them find their way together. Danger and violence are ever present, but also we get to to see a heartwarming opportunity for second chances. I've been reading this series all out of order, but it really doesn't matter. I'm smart enough to put 2 and 2 together. The author does a great job of keeping all the story lines in order throughout the series - must be one helluva story board. This is the ultimate second chance story, for both Heidi and Trick, two broken people who didn't know if they could go on. Heidi has been resentful of the club for years since her husband's death, knowing he always put the club before her. Taking care of Trick baby girl after he loses his wife because of the club has been her salvation. But now Trick is back after his year of vengeance and him hitting rock bottom with the club. The author did an excellent job showing us how Heidi and Trick fumble their way together realizing they both need each other, and more than just for the little girl they both love. Great HEA and ending to the series.
I loved this novel so much! I have read other novels in this series and loved them all, this novel did not disappoint. From the first chapter this novel reached out thru the pages and held on tight. This novel kept me on the edge of my seat reading because I needed to know what was coming next. I loved Trick and Heidi. Both had such painful and tragic pasts, both are suffering. I loved they both had a second chance at romance. I loved their chemistry. So good! I loved Heidi relationship with his daughter Sophia. I could not put this novel down. Loved it! I can't wait to see what this author has coming next.
Love this series. Trick has lost his woman, sought revenge and once this exhausted, is making amends to the club and needs to step up for the caring and sake of his young daughter. Heidi has lost her friend; caring for her child in her father's absence and protective in his return There is a sad sense of loss and grief, emotional pain and personal suffering. Love may be lost but it may also be found again as this couple sharing of their pain could also be the start of something more than the healing process.

Wow!!! Brilliant!!! Amazing!!!! What a way to end a series! It’s bittersweet to say goodbye to the Manchester boys but my gosh what a fantastic book!!! There was no better way to end this than with 2 souls who lost so much during the series. Trick and Heidi finding their way to each other - it just made my heart so full. These 2 deserve ALL the happiness life can bring them. Storylines get wrapped up, so much action and adventure, ALL of the emotions, super spicy good stuff and a HEA that will have you cheering. Absolutely brilliant send off!!!!! LOVED IT!!!!!
