Batman, one of the ultimate comic book superhero's and fictional character. This all started with Batman in 1939, published by D.C. comics. At the beginning, Batman became a hit by killing or maiming criminals, without remorse.

Batman's sidekick, Robin, came into the picture in 1940, which made the comic even more popular. In 1966, the Batman television series started, and new characters were introduced.
