About the author

My personal experience with pets has been my inspiration for five children´s picture books. My pets´ behavior and intelligence fascinated and impressed me. When I was a child, pets were my playmates and confidants. We had cats, dogs, a myna bird, peacocks, a hen, turtles, a mouse and a squirrel. I would have wanted more animals but we were limited by space. At times I tested my parents' patience with my assortment of pets, like when my squirrel trashed the house.

I hope you will enjoy these stories and illustrations. Perhaps one of the books will remind you of similar experiences you have had with a pet or perhaps you will learn something new about what a particular pet is like. The stories are rhymed to make them fun to read out loud and to add an element of humor to the story. I created the illustrations using acrylic paint. Normally children´s picture books are geared towards children eight years old and younger; however, sometimes adults like to buy them for themselves because they enjoy the illustrations or just like to take a moment to feel like a kid again.
