Captain Lyle Kerrigan leads Earth's inaugural colony ship, Intrepid, on a historic mission that holds the dreams of five hundred hopeful colonists. Battling challenges beyond the vastness of space, Kerrigan must ensure the safety of his diverse crew.

Amidst the monotony of her duties, Chief Petty Officer Alina Ballard's life takes an unexpected turn after a mysterious alien encounter. Thrust into a role she never anticipated, Alina must navigate challenges that test not only her skills but also her understanding of the universe.

For seasoned political consultant Paine Wingate, the journey to the new colony was envisioned as a stepping stone to a future governorship. However, as the unexpected unfolds on the outskirts of our solar system, Wingate grapples with the realization that true leadership surpasses political gamesmanship.

Wayward Stars is a gripping tale of exploration, survival, and the indomitable human spirit. As Intrepid hurtles towards the unknown, the crew must unite against a cosmic mystery that defies their every expectation. The destiny of humanity hangs in the balance as they embark on a journey that will redefine their understanding of the cosmos.

Ok, Pretty Good.

"How can anyone sit back and just complacently watch crimes being committed and then hide behind 'it didn't happen to us'?"

Wayward Stars promises an encroachment on new beginnings and changing for the better and that is exactly what happened.

Wayward Stars: Intrepid Saga Series Book 1 written by Tim Rangnow follows a group of individuals journey through the stars as they attempt to find a new place to call home and the challenges that come with it.

The writing was well formulated, it fit the theme and genre of the book as well as the worldbuilding which was futuristic yet familiar which allowed for the species to be easily imagined.

The flow of events seemed a bit slow - to me atleast - but it allowed for me to see the characteristics of the main cast, it allowed me to watch Wingate’s ascent from evil - a change that was definitely for the better.

Journeying with the crew throughout the story was an amazing expedition but I am deeply content with allowing the story to be as it is now.
