Since We're Here

Rate this book
Maddie Hart has lost nine restaurant jobs since dropping out of college a decade ago, all because of nine relationships gone wrong. When she finds out number ten is cheating right before visiting him in the Caribbean, Maddie impulsively changes her destination flight (but not the contents of her suitcase) to Ireland, where she’ll hide from her family and plan her older sister’s pre-wedding Irish road trip. Ex-pro soccer goalkeeper Patrick McNulty is back home in the seaside town of Dingle, Ireland. He’s got his priorities be there for his aging parents, support his sister and nieces, and take over the family pub and brewery. None of that includes dating, because after his disastrous engagement to a girl who’s part of the rival brewery family, Patrick is done with relationships. He’s an empty shell of a man, just like she said. When the gorgeous American tourist—who asked him to kiss her in the pub the night before—turns out to be the same woman emailing for help planning her sister and his best friend’s road trip, Patrick vows to keep it platonic. But when his pub manager quits, Maddie begs to help. After spending time together, their sizzling chemistry leads them to sleep together just once to get it out of their systems. But once is not enough for either of them. Maddie’s time in Dingle is limited, and Patrick needs to stay focused before everything unravels. The road trip is the last chance they have to figure is love worth all the heartache?

4.5 Fecking Delightful Stars ⭐
Spicy Level: 🌶️.5/5

We tell ourselves these little lies, conversations held only in our internal dialogue that no one knows except yourself. This book was an actual representation of one of these conversations I often have...and there goes never telling anyone...

Note: This is an interconnected standalone which means, like me, you can read it without having read the previous two books...but obviously those romances HEA will be present in this...

𝙎𝙮𝙣𝙤𝙥𝙨𝙞𝙨:
I have always said that if anything bad happened in my life that left me completely alone, I would move to England and work in a pub. And while our main character doesn't necessarily go to England, she goes to Ireland. Maddie (Madison) has pulled out of her hospitality program and found out her "summer fling" who she thought was more, was cheating on her... afraid to tell her sisters she fleas to Ireland to plan the perfect road trip bachelorette for her sister. The best man (who lives in Ireland) is meant to help her, but he is avoiding her emails. But there is no way he can avoid her in person right? On her first night, she kisses a random stranger in the hallway of the pub she is staying above... turns out that stranger is none other than Patrick - the elusive best man... he also happens to own the pub and room she is staying in.

𝙏𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝𝙩𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙁𝙚𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨:
There are just some books out there that speak to your soul. The book might not be perfect but, it just hits every little thing you want to see... This book was like that for me. It spoke to my soul.

Maddie doesn't know what she wants out of life when she arrives in Ireland. All she knows is the hotel business is not for her. Despite this, her personality is determined and spontaneous with this freeing sense of independence and freedom that can't make you do anything but smile and like her.

Patrick is textbook Grumpy in the GrumpyxSunshine dynamic and I LOVE IT! Sworn off dating after his ex messed him up, he very rarely doesn't have more than one encounter with a woman (aka he owns and bar and uses it as a hookup source for one-night stands). But there's just something about this feisty, smiley American woman that might speak to his soul. I love their dynamic together. I love how she slowly whittled away his tough exterior, and how she was able to thaw his frozen heart allowing him to experience life again and have fun. His coping mechanism was burying himself in his work, stuck in a rut and going with the motions pulling him in 50000 directions. I love that Maddie was able to help him reprioritize what he wanted and I love that she was there to support him. She recognised his silent cry for help, even though he couldn't see it himself. Their dynamic is everything a relationship should be. These two had their own, unique lives, but they just empowered each other to be greater. It was also sweet how this grumpy man just looked after Maddie and made sure she didn't kill herself more than once with her reckless behaviour...

What I found surprising is that I LOVED this book and it contained a trope that I typically don't like, the dreaded "third act breakup". While the characters had one I understood it's purpose and it worked for me in the story. Patrick needed to realise and reframe his priorities and realise he was miserable without Maddie. I didn't feel irritated that they broke up and I think that actually speaks to how much I loved this book because when one of my most hated tropes appears and I still rate it high... I think the book is brilliant...

ALSO there were sheep... the one on the cover was actually why I wanted to read this book because your girl is lowkey obsessed with sheep... I have a massive collection of stuffed toy sheep on my couch and they make me so happy... so the presence of Turtle and Kitty and all the sheep-inspired decor in this was AMAZING!

𝙏𝙧𝙤𝙥𝙚𝙨:
▶ Dual POV
▶ Irish Romance
▶ Strangers to Lovers
▶ BridesmaidXBest Man
▶ Small Town Romance
▶ GrumpyXSunshine
▶ He Fall's First
▶ Forced Proximity
▶ Workplace Romance
▶ Sheep Animal Companions

𝙈𝙞𝙘𝙧𝙤 𝙏𝙧𝙤𝙥𝙚𝙨:
▷ Good Girl
▷ View is Amazing (looking at her)
▷ "Out of our systems"
▷ Washes her hair and Plats her hair
▷ He Takes Care of Her after she's injured

Overall this was just sweet and wholesome, and it just made my soul tingle with all the little tropes and micro tropes. It was like the perfect romance tailored for me.

✨Follow your heart, no matter how scary it is. ✨

This series has been great. I have loved every single book and this one was equally as good. They’re all set in different places. Scotland, London, and this one was Ireland. So dreamy 😍
Each book is about a different sister. I really liked how each of their dynamic in that family unit was different and shaped how they were in their adult lives. I also like that everyone is older and at least in their thirties.
This was really cute. I love Maddie. She’s nothing like me but she’s like people I know and love. I knew I would love Patrick as well. He’s all around good guy. The Irish accent def adds something too.
I thought their whole relationship was cute. They finally found people who truly accepted every part of them and they’re adorable together.
This whole series was really good and so much fun. I highly recommend it if you want feel good destination reads with MMCs who have accents 😊

I love that I can always count on this author to deliver on a cute romcom read. I was so excited to receive this arc! I fell in love with the first two books and these sisters, and I love how different each one is.

In this one, Maddie has a habit of having some kind of romantic tryst with a coworker and unfortunately, Patrick fits that bill (side note— part of me was like DANG that resume must be long, 11 jobs!!) and is the grumpy to her sunshine. He has avoided relationships for a while, and Maddie is basically a serial dater; what could go wrong?

Turns out they are the perfect balance to each other. What Maddie needed was someone who actually did like her and not just for fling purposes. She had so much love to give, and always picked the wrong ones. Patrick needs that love. So it’s a perfect recipe once they break down each other’s walls.

Thank you R&R Book Tours and the author for a copy!

Great romance about the hot grumpy Irish guy-next-door and the American girl on tour. I loved all the characters- the whole town, and the sheep! I want to go live in this fictional version of Dingle, Ireland. Maybe the real Dingle is just as good? Someone let me know! And the spicey scenes make me blush so I'm not even going to talk about those. I loved it as much as The Love Hypothesis, except I liked the Irish setting and side characters even more, so I feel like I'm more likely to reread this one.

Escape to the Irish countryside with Maddie and Patrick in Since We’re Here! This charming romance is all about second chances and finding love when you least expect it. Maddie is hiding out in Ireland after her latest love and work disasters, trying to keep her sisters in the dark. Patrick, still reeling from his last heartbreak, isn’t looking to get close to anyone—especially not Maddie, who falls too hard and too fast. 💔☘️

Tasked with planning a joint bachelor/bachelorette road trip for Maddie’s sister and her fiancé, these two opposites are thrown together, and sparks start to fly. 🚌✨ From exploring scenic spots to bonding over Patrick’s pet sheep (yes, sheep!), their chemistry is undeniable. But with Maddie set to leave, both are too scared to admit their feelings. 😩❤️

Since We’re Here is a delightful, slow-burn romance that perfectly captures the push-and-pull of two people afraid to let their guards down. Maddie and Patrick’s journey is a sweet reminder that love is all about taking risks and being vulnerable—even when it’s terrifying. If you’re a fan of heartwarming romances with a sprinkle of humor and beautiful Irish backdrops, this book will steal your heart! 🇮🇪🐑

Spice Level: 🌶️

The sheep-themed flat sounded absolutely adorable! I also loved the fun summaries of Maddie’s past boyfriends, complete with their distress levels and lesson learned. It gave a great insight into how unlucky she's been in love, which mirrors Patrick's own situation. The dual POV was a huge plus because without it, Patrick might have just come across as a bit of an idiot. Seeing things from his perspective added depth to his character, especially when it came to how much he adored his family.

The small-town charm of Dingle really stood out. Everyone being in each other’s business was cute, and I enjoyed how the community was always looking out for one another. It added a lot of warmth to the story.

Overall, this was a cute and sweet read. However, I’m not the biggest fan of the miscommunication trope, and the last quarter of the book felt like one long misunderstanding. I also struggled a bit with the chemistry between the leads - they seemed a little juvenile for people in their thirties. The spicy scenes weren’t too explicit, which I actually enjoyed, and they leaned more into romance, making them quite sweet.

In the end, it was a fun, lighthearted read, despite a few elements not quite clicking for me.

What a fun small town romantic comedy, I enjoyed this book a lot. It's the 3rd book in a series, each book is about a sister, but it can be read as a standalone. Maddie is in charge of planning a bachelor/bachelorette road trip for her sister Reese. She's planning it with her sister's fiancées best friend, Patrick, a grumpy Irish bar- and brewery owner. The FMC hasn't got everything figured out yet, she has had 10 dead end jobs and exes and is finding out who she is after the last one. The MMC is a grumpy mess but very likable and a real good guy, loved the pet sheep. They are both in their 30's which I really liked, it made them more relatable to me.
There is bit of open door spice, but isn't too much. It's overall a cute and enjoyable rom-com.
I really loved the readable Irish accent, which adds to the MMC's character and the visualisation of what he is like. I also loved the fact that the writer really takes us on a journey through Ireland. She has clearly done her research.

When I found out I was given this ARC, I decided I wanted to read the first two books in the series first. So I read all three this weekend, but I think this one was my favorite.

Maddie is taking a break from the real world for a bit of a reset. She finds the perfect place to do that at a cozy pub in Ireland. There she meets Patrick and begins a month-long adventure. Really enjoyed Maddie and Patrick’s chemistry, as well as all the secondary characters, and the storyline in general.

Thanks to NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review. Watch for Since We’re Here to come out September 9, 2024.

Oh this was a feet kicking, giggling into my pillow DELIGHT.

It’s been a minute since I’ve read a contemporary romance where at least one part didn’t give me the ick and I’m so glad this was the exception. Grounded in reality, sexy, funny, sad at times, but overall just very satisfying to read.

When I received this ARC I didn’t realize it was the 3rd in a standalone but interconnected series. Luckily it was perfect on its own and made me want to go back and read the first two.

When I say I devoured this book- I totally did. I have a habit of reading series out of order and this was no different 😅 I fell in love with Maddie and Patrick, and their story brought tears to my eyes. It was funny- so funny, and it made me want to jump on a plane and go on an Ireland road trip! I love that you are able to see how Patrick works through his baggage, and how Maddie works through hers.

It's a great grumpy x sunshine trope, which I adore, especially because you can see him literally melt for her!

5 stars for an overwhelmingly cute book! Received this ARC and immediately devoured it. I mean who doesn’t love a “fix it” fic with a grumpy Irish bar owner paired with a sunshiny tourist in small town Ireland ? Add in secrets and some spice, you got a winner. The writing pulls you in and the sugary sweet story keeps you reading. Loved it!

My rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

This is the second book I’ve read by Chrissy Hopewell and they have both been a delight! This was a sweet grumpy/sunshine romance.

Patrick is a little bit of a grump, and he’s jaded with love, but he has his family and his work and that is more than enough for him. Until an American tourist walks into his bar and asks him for a kiss.

You will love Patrick and Maddie. Maddie is completely unaffected by Patrick’s scowls. And Patrick? Well he’s the opposite of unaffected.

This book was super cute!! From the way they meet, to the way they fall for each other, their story is one that had me HOOKED. Both MCs have guarded hearts due to past hurts when they meet. But they’re so drawn to each other, they can’t stay away, and end up being exactly what the other needs to heal their hurting hearts.

I instantly fell in love with this Grumpy x Sunshine Irish romance. Maddie and Patrick both had great character development and the small Irish town of Dingle was the perfect setting for their romance.

This book had me desperately wanting to go back to Ireland. It was so fun for me to see places mentioned that I had actually been. Now to read the other two Hart Sisters books! 💚

Maddie Hart is the youngest of three sisters who has struggled with finding the right man to spend her life with. Her logic after reviewing her dating life - don't date someone from work.

After the latest breakup, she wants a change. So what better way to plan an Ireland road trip than to be there! So she moves to Ireland for a month to play her sister's wedding road trip with her sister's husband's best friend, Patrick.

Super cute, feel good book with a little relationship drama. Patrick's way of closing his previous relationship chapter was by far my favorite (you'll find out when you read 😘)

I absolutely loved the third installment of The Hart Sisters books and was also so sad to say goodbye to these characters.

I loved Maddie's story and how she just showed up to Ireland with little planning and settled right into town. I know she worried about being too impulsive but I thought it was brave! I loved the push and pull between Maddie and Patrick and how he tried to resist her friendship and charm at first. I absolutely loved the setting of Ireland and getting to learn more about the town of Dingle but then the country as a whole when it was time for the road trip.

This was the perfect ending to this series for me! Cannot wait to see what Chrissy does next!

What a delectable read! The world of the Hart sisters felt so personal to me. Also being the youngest out of three sisters and being 33 and a little lost it was easy to empathize with all of the emotions Maddie was going through. Would doesn’t dream of living their most adventurous life in Ireland? The realness that was Patrick from the beginning was refreshing and it made the banter with Maddie that much better. Would love to fall in love with these characters all over again.

I read Unless It's You and really enjoyed it, so I was excited to read Maddie's story. But this one can be read as a standalone.

Tropes:
Grumpy/sunshine
Dual POVs
Some amount of spice

After moving from job to job and having failed relationship after relationship, Maddie is trying to find somewhere that grounds her. Patrick, a Dingle native, has his heart broken by a past relationship and, as a result, refuses to open his heart to love. When Maddie comes to Ireland on a whim to help plan her sister's pre-wedding road trip, she enlists Patrick's help. As they spend more time together, they grow closer together and their relationship becomes more complicated.

This was a very cute read! I thought it had a lot of heart. Maddie is trying to find her home but also trying to find herself and her path in life. Patrick is very much a loner before he meets Maddie, and he's reluctant to see if love is in the cards for him. Together, they brought out the best in each other and was what the other person needed. They had great chemistry (some steamy scenes!) but also had some communication problems (due to Patrick's apparent social awkwardness). A little thing that annoyed me: there were a lot of repeats of how their relationship "would never work/last" because of Maddie's home in New Jersey vs Patrick's in Ireland, and after seeing this in basically every chapter, I was like ok I get it, this is a huge obstacle in their relationship.

Overall, I enjoyed this book, and I really loved the cameos from the previous books (Ethan and Stella, Reese and Oliver).

I freakin’ loved this book and blitzed through it on a cross-country flight. I didn’t know what to expect (I haven’t read the first two from this series, or anything from Chrissy!) - but American tourist x overseas local might be my new favorite trope??? Is that a trope???

Loved the banter, could imagine the main characters so easily, loved the spice, and never felt like it was slow. The writing was smooth and fun and I was smiling so many times as I read this. Even though the FMC was totally different from me, I appreciated her and could relate to her romantic failures leading up to this one with Patrick.

5 stars!!!!!

Side note…this is the happy ending that my old roommate, her friend and I had hoped for when we went on a two week tour of England/Scotland. We frequented pubs but had no luck finding an overseas lover to marry us and move us (granted my roommate’s dad was along for the trip because technically it was her trip to visit him as he lived abroad and us other two friends just tagged along - that might’ve killed the vibe). Good on you Maddie, for finding your Irish man! HAHA

It’s been a lovely journey across the U.K with the Hart sisters and I actually feel sad I just finished book 3 in the series.

Thanks to @chrissyHopewell for the ARC of Since we’re here. I’ve throughly enjoyed the series and definitely will read anything else by this author. She’s become a fave ❤️.

Although it’s fine to read this as a stand alone, I did feel there was a lot more context to Maddie knowing the other sisters. Maddie is a free spirit compared to her older siblings and I can relate to her worries about not living up to her sisters expectations. Reading this as part of the series definitely added the extra understanding to her reasoning.

I love the writing for all 3 books, they give romance and comedy without the sickly sweet cliche feel. These books are grown up with real feelings to navigate.

Maddie is our youngest sister and basically on the run from her real life, she decides to hide from her older sisters judgement in Ireland, whilst she tries to work out what to do with her life. After a series of dead end jobs and boyfriends she’s trying to break the mould but is she just repeating history when she takes a job at the bar downstairs with the sexy bartend?

Our sexy bartender is Patrick, who we’ve been introduced to in book 1, best friend of her sisters hubby to be. He’s having a rough time getting over a bad relationship and sworn off getting too close ever again. But then perhaps Maddie and her free spirit vibes are all he needs to soften his hard exterior?

My favourite quotes (my kindle isn’t syncing)

Chapter 3

“That moment last night when he pushed my hair behind my ear at the bar . . . It was surprising, but I thought I was going to melt into a puddle on the pub floor.”

“I giggle and sip my coffee. This morning just got a lot more interesting.”

Chapter 5

“He must only own tight black t-shirts. I would, too, if I were him”

Chapter 10

“Something about that woman makes me uncomfortable. Not bad uncomfortable. Good uncomfortable. Like I want to be around her. Which means I should probably avoid her.”

Chapter 11

“He’s a force of nature, impossible for me to resist. I don’t understand why everyone around us isn’t staring. He’s like gravity, and I’m some dumb rock being sucked into his orbit.”

Chapter 22

“I rest my hand against the doorframe of Maddie’s room and can barely bring myself to knock on the open door.”

Chapter 23

“I make furniture.” “You . . . make it? With your own two hands?” I blink a hundred times. Could this man get any hotter?”

Chapter 28

“Girl, you are a thirty-three-year-old woman. You should not be concerned if your older sisters approve of the life choices you are making. Choices that aren’t hurting a soul in this world”

“Stella holds out her hand for mine, and I let her examine the faint scar. “Yeah. It was baaaad.” “You did not just say that.” “I did.” We burst into laughter, and I shake my head.”

Chapter 33

“This is different. I know I’m in love with Maddie. I feel it in every bit of my being. In the sharp wind that whips around my ears, the ocean spray flying up from the jagged shoreline, the angry gray clouds.”

Chapter 35

“You make me feel like I’m worth . . . something.”

“Never better without you.” I catch her hair again and she huffs out a laugh, smiling. I love seeing her like this. Wild and free and happy.

💚☘️Thank you to Chrissy for choosing me as one of your ARC Readers!☘️💚

Overview📖:
Maddie has a track record of dating men where she’s working, the relationship going up in flames, and quickly fleeing that job onto the next. And the next, and the next… until she decides to switch things up and escape to Dingle, Ireland - home of Patrick, her sister’s fiancée’s best friend, and supposed-to-be her partner in planning Reese + Oliver’s pre-wedding adventure. Maddie is all sunshine and fun while Patrick is cloudy and serious. She’s dedicated to break the cycle of relationships and he is dedicated to not letting her in his hardened heart. Will either succeed?

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5
I really devoured this story! I didn’t want to put it down! I haven’t read #1 or #2 in the Hart Sister series, but I definitely want to after this. #3 works great as a standalone, but I can tell the others will help make a better and deeper understanding of all the other characters. I’m taking one star off because of a trope I personally don’t like to read. And even though the book was incredibly fun and cute to read, I’m not left feeling completely in awe of it. That’s just something that happens when you read as much as I do! Overall, I would definitely read it again to finish off the series when I get my hands on the others 💗

🌶️🌶️/5
Some real good steam between these 2 😍!! Go Maddie taking control of what you want 🔥🔥

What I liked👍:
- Irish accent + hot soccer player = yes please
- the format of introducing Maddie’s past “boyfriend disasters” at the beginning of chapters AND the lessons she learned from each one
- Patrick’s dedication to his family and being the best uncle ever 🥹
- the tension and the build-up to finally letting walls down!
- Maddie finding a friend in Saoirse and a community in Dingle, where she feels like she belongs somewhere for the first time
- Patrick taking care of Maddie when she got hurt 🥺
- Reese (and Stella) reacting supportively when they find out about Maddie’s big lie! Stella says Maddie shouldn’t let the judgment of ANYONE rule her life. Yes!!! All of the lying and stress could’ve been avoided!!
- all of the fun little quirky tidbits about things to do in Ireland! I’d love to see someone recreate this itinerary!!
- Maddie knowing her faults in previous relationships and trying to move slowly with Patrick at the end! Plus, Patrick knowing his trouble communicating and trying to fix that for her. When love is right, it’s worth working for 🥹
- amazing epilogue of Reese’s wedding, a great ending to tie all the 3 sister stories together and close it off 💗

What I didn’t like👎:
- I would’ve loved to see more of Maddie + Liam. They hit it off the first night, then nothing happens after that!
- I really, really, really wanted to see Maddie as a reformed woman. All in all, she still had a relationship with someone she worked with, FWB with someone she shouldn’t have, fell hard fast when it was supposed to be casual, and fleed when it didn’t work - much like the first 10 scenarios. Then, during their road trip, she knows she loves Patrick but won’t tell him. I wish she would’ve fought for him, stayed in Ireland instead of running, anything to show some growth and learning now with Patrick versus before.
- THIRD ACT BREAK UP. This has got to be one of my least favorite tropes. And this one lasted ssssssoooooooooo long. They knew they loved each other but felt so unlovable that they couldn’t even bear to try confessing! Gah it was painful 😫

Maddie impulsively flies to Dingle, Ireland after things didn't work out with her holiday fling in the hopes of working out what she wants from life and at the same time, forcing her sister's fiancée's best friend, Patrick, to help her plan a 12 day road trip around Ireland.

Maddie quickly realises that Patrick owns the bar below the flat she's renting and while he seems fairly standoffish when she first meets him properly, she doesn't let it put her off and she keeps forcing her sunny disposition on him until he breaks and starts letting her in little by little.

Patrick has been burnt before when it didn't work out with his ex-fiancée and since they split 5yrs ago he's not really dated anyone seriously, choosing instead to focus on his family and his businesses. But then he realises that Maddie is different, she's not put off by him, she actually seems to enjoy being around him and he finds himself wanting to open his heart up again.

Initially they agree to keep it short term arrangement as Maddie is only in Dingle for a month before she returns to the US and while they'll spend the road trip together and then the wedding, chances are they won't see each other again after that. But it doesn't take long for either of them to realise that they're starting to feel more - but of course, they can't admit this to each other and cue the 3rd act break up!

I loved both characters - Patrick in particular sounds so hot! I think everyone loves an Irish accent then throw in the tall, dark hair, toned body and tattoos and I'm sold! Maddie was lovely as well and I think their past experiences with relationships have damaged them both slightly but they're able to get past that now that they have each other.

I love it when romance is told in dual POV! I always want to know what the guy is thinking when something happens with the girl he's in love with but I think what was missing on this one, was the spicy scenes from his POV. We get them from Maddie's POV but I think it would have been so hot to read it from Patrick's as well - especially when she tells him exactly what she wants, including being told she's a good girl.

Overall, the book is well-written and has great character growth. There is also a bonus scene if you sign up to Chrissy Hopewell's website. And even though it's the third book in the series, you don't need to have read the first two to read this one.

SPOILER-FREE REVIEW

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ (5/5)

after reading the summary for this book, i knew i absolutely HAD to read it, so you can imagine how overjoyed i was to receive a NetGalley ARC!

and guys… it was GOOD! like so SO good!

i have to keep this as spoiler-free as possible, otherwise i could rave on for hours, but when i tell you that i didn’t want to put this book down, i mean that!

my own version of a summary: ‘Madison Hart has been through nine messy breakups, each resulting in a job lost. and after her 10th relationship goes up in flames (metaphorically speaking), sunshine-y Maddie decides to switch her flight to the Caribbean for a flight to Ireland, to meet with her sister’s fiancé’s best friend; a grumpy, irish, ex-pro soccer player, Patrick McNulty, who isn’t replying to her emails about the pending itinerary for her sister’s 12-day pre-wedding irish roadtrip.

a steamy kiss shared between two not-so-strangers turns into a vow of platonic intentions, but these two can only stay platonic for so long before their heated chemistry catches up to them.’

do y’all ever have that issue of reading a romance book and thinking “no one speaks like that”? because i feel that way all the time. but this book? no, not with this book. the dialogue was realistic, the plot wasn’t unimaginable, and the angst was actually believable!

there was no moments of thinking “oh my god now the author is just making it difficult for them”— the plot, the angst, Maddie and Patrick’s life stories and issues— it was all so well thought out and set up so well!

i think if i could marry a book, this one would be high up there on the list, i’m not even gonna lie. it was genuinely a struggle to tear myself away from this book in order to, ya know, do my job.

if i can give one piece of advice? read it. just… just read it. you won’t regret it! i mean c’mon; it has close proximity, he falls first, tourism, and sheep!

anyways, if anyone needs me, i’ll be scouring the internet for how to secure a physical copy of this book for my ‘favorites’ shelf!

thank you NetGalley and Chrissy Hopewell for giving me this ARC! i’m absolutely in love!

Book Review: Since We’re Here by: Chrissy Hopewell

This book was the perfect ending to this series!!! I’m so glad I got to read the three sisters stories! This one was so perfect. The setting is perfect the Irish Countryside swoon!!! Anyway… this is a splendid second chance romance. They both weren’t expecting each other. Maddie is desperately trying to change her life after multiple train wreck relationships and jobs. She’s always wanting to make her sister and soon to be brother in laws road trip epic. I was laughing out loud from the moment she was trying to hide where she was trying to navigate the time changes it was so funny! Then we have Patrick sweet and quirky. Constantly unsure of what to
say or how to act. He doubts himself especially with women. And our sweet Maddie falls to fast!

I loved how the story evolved from him trying to stay far away to being close to each other. And he has a pet sheep 🐑 I mean I’m done for! And the apartment she is renting is sheep themed I mean awwww.

The immense chemistry and these two who were constantly making me scream just admit how you feel. But it made the story and gave it a wonderful layers of slow burn. When he is learning about being vulnerable and taking a chance even when you’re afraid it can lead to amazing things. This story was heart warming and I truly loved it. I absolutely loved that is was dual POV I think if I couldn’t spend time in Patrick’s head I would have so sad. I really love dual POVs it makes a story so much richer! Seriously this story is charming and so so adorable. I highly recommend this book it will give you all the feels and hugs.
