India Kells is the author of dark romantic suspense where raw sensuality, psychological tension, and morally dangerous heroes collide in a blaze of emotional fire. Her novels delve into the gray areas of desire and the scars that love and life leave behind. If you crave stories where adrenaline, obsession, and redemption clash, you’re in the right place.
I enojoyed the story but as a 2nd in this series it lacked a cohesiveness between book 1 and 2, the rest of the CSI team were non-existent in this story even in a social setting, Noelle wasn’t even mentioned until the epilogue. Book 1 had a groundingness to it for potential future stories around this ‘team’ of women but this book lacked team spirit, aside from that it was a good story.
I read the first book in this series and enjoyed it, but this book was very lackluster. The main female character was so stiff and cerebral that she was both boring and seemingly repressed. The suspense plot may have become more intriguing, but it was not enough action to keep me engaged. The main male lead character may have been slightly more interesting, but I gave up before the romance developed. Definitely not my cup of tea.
This is the long awaited second book in this series. I did enjoy the book, but I wanted more romance. I enjoyed Roseline and Callen’s characters and they were fun to read. The plot was well done and the bad guy was a bit of a surprise. Hopefully we’ll get another book soon!
