Welcome to Woodvalley Pines…where hunky firefighters save the day! It’s time to turn up the heat and hope this smokin’ hot fireman can control the blaze.
Libby hadn’t even been in Woodvalley Pines a day and she was already freaking out. Her kitchen had just set on fire. From toast of all things! That’s right, she was the victim of the elusive toaster fire. Yes, a toaster. Who knew they could just spontaneously burst into flames? She certainly didn’t. If that wasn’t enough to ruin her day, a swarm of hot firefighters seeing her in her pink pajamas would do it.
Zach tried his hardest not to laugh as the woman in the Disney pajamas accused him of keeping toaster fire safety a secret. He didn’t know where in the world this angry green-eyed princess had come from, but he had to admit that he was intrigued. After all, if she had this much passion when it came to talking toasters, what other kind of flames could he stoke in her?
Libby and Zach’s spark was instant, but will the fire burn out or can they keep the flames blazing?
Isobel Reed’s snarky humorous romances have fans fanning themselves as they devour the stories. Her books are one-clicks for readers who love Lori Wilde’s - The First Love Cookie Club and Jennifer Ryan’s - At Wolf Ranch books. Readers will struggle not to fall for the sexy small town heroes and the sassy women who claim them!
Isobel was born and raised in London. While she’s a city girl at heart, she loves daydreaming about running away to a charming small town—though she’s not entirely sure her husband and son would share her enthusiasm for the move. When she’s not writing small-town romantic comedies or growing unhealthily attached to the characters in her books, you can find her reading, chasing after her very active toddler, or attempting to channel her inner domestic goddess in the kitchen (with varying degrees of success).
Known for her witty dialogue and swoon-worthy small-town heroes, Isobel signed with Inkspell Publishing in 2021. The following year, she released Love Tools, the first book in her four-book Bluestone Series. In early 2024, she launched Toasted, the debut novel of her seven-book Love Burns Series, which will roll out over the next year.
This was a fun and flirty small town romance between a sassy FMC scared of relationships, and a bold, hot and passionate Firefighter who's head over heels and ready for commitment. I loved the chemistry and passion, this book had me smiling all the way through, with the swoony moments and the hilarious banter. Zach definitely gives of the possessive / touch her and die vibes especially around his friends, but he's also a perfect gentlemen and patient to win Libby's heart. This is a cosy feel good romance with a touch of spice that will have you smiling and laughing. The first book in the love burns series, can't wait to read more, and see more of the fun friendships and blossoming romances.
🔥"Beware of the toaster. It may look innocent, but it will burn your house to the ground when you least expect it" 🔥"And in that one look, he could tell she felt it too. Overwhelming, intoxicating chemistry. With enough sparks to blow a fuse. Or burn down a whole damn building" 🔥"I want to spend all damn night tracing every inch of you with my tongue" 🔥"She was an evil temptress, using her feminine wiles against him. He was fucked"
Oh my! Toasted had me falling in love. It is the first book in the Love Burns series. I love a good Rom Com and Isobel delivers. I really enjoyed the Bluestone series, so it was a no brainer when I saw Isobel had this book out. Being the first book in the series I am not sure how it can get better, but I am sure it will. I was laughing at the wittiness and easy banter; next I wanted a long drink to cool me down. Talk about chemistry and sparks flying in more ways than one. I fell in love with the characters and the small town of Woodvalley Pines, but Libby cracked me up the woman is hilarious. It is just what is needed a small-town romance for everyone who loves a romance with sexy firefighters, and sassy leading ladies. What does Disney jammies and a toaster have to do with anything, have a read to find out. I can’t wait to get my hot little hands on the other books. Bring. It. On!
I want to start by saying I love the author’s creativity for the book title. Toasted legit starts when a girl's toaster burst into flames while making her morning toast. It actually makes me kind of laugh out loud. I didn’t pick it up at first but once I did I laughed. So anyway this is a sweet romance novel. But as we know, the story never just has an easy meet, fall in love, finally happily ever after. But I digress. The author wrote two brilliantly stubborn characters that I relate too. Each having their own personal issues but are drawn to one another. Yet as much as the chemistry tells them to be together they are apart. This story is about the growth between them. Learning there’s positives in taking risks vs playing it safe. But does it all work out in the end? Meeting over a toaster fire in her kitchen, Libby instantly clicks with Zach. Which worries her. So she grasps onto him laughing at her reaction to the appliance catching fire and the ways it could happen to anyone. By doing so she’s hoping this pull she feels will diminish because this is negative behavior to her. She swore off relationships, and doesn't have them. There’s no way this gorgeous firefighter will change that for her now. Or will he? Zach is determined. Libby is beautiful with a wonderful personality. He wants her to be his, but doesn’t realize that will be no easy task. When he takes intimacy off the table unless she’s willing to try a relationship, they both are in for an extreme test of their restraint. A test of wits to make the other break is now the challenge between them. They are both so stubborn that they don’t want to let go of the paths they laid. Unfortunately Zach is faced with a difficult decision and having Libby in his corner may be just what he needs to get through it. Only one problem, is she willing? I love this book and it’s the beginning of a new series I’m looking forward to reading more of!
This book had me at the dedication- For all the princesses, especially the ones battling frog infestations.
Have you ever watched those Tiktok videos where the guy turns into a sexy firefighter and you instantly imagine an interaction? Well, this isn’t it! This was more realistic, and amusing AF when they first met.
Libby- Just moved in, new house/state… everything, and on the very next morning her toaster sets on fire (Which is how she met her firefighter hunk!) She is a curvy girl so if you are looking for a book where the mfc isn't a twig this is for you!
Zach- hotty firefighter. Very protective of Libby.
This is fast-paced and he falls first. By chapter 2 after inviting himself over for dinner he was thinking how much he liked her and wanted her to be his girl.
Honestly, when I first started reading this book I thought Zach was a little cutie. I thought their banter was hilarious and that they had great chemistry, but then he started giving me bad vibes. While I love red flags in my dark romances I don’t in my rom-coms and it turned me off from this book. Even though Libby was giving off fuck me vibes, she made it very clear she didn’t want a relationship with him, but no matter how many times she said no he refused to accept that answer and thought he could change her mind, even after she told him her reasoning. Not only that but some of the things came off a bit manipulative as well. Obvi she ignores all the warning bells in her head and does fall for him after being FWB for a while.Has a HEA ending.
My first book by Isobel Reed, and I devoured it! I would say a 5⭐️ and 2🔥 book! The story was great, but it definitely could have been spicier! (In my humble opinion!) 😅😅🤷🏼♀️
With moving to a new town, an incredibly small one at that, what could possibly go wrong? Libby’s first night, that’s what!
As Libby is getting settled into her new home, all she wanted to do is make some toast and chill. However, things do not always go as planned. Libby quickly learned that when her toaster caught on fire! Who knew an older toaster and crumb build up could cause a fire!? Certainly, not Libby!
As the firefighters begin to show up, Libby is still standing in her home, staring in disbelief. She finally comes to when the hottie fireman is coaxing her to leave the house for safety reasons. Abruptly, she realizes not only does she feel an instant spark with this firefighter who is trying to help her, but she is also wearing some of her favorite, comfy Disney pajamas. How embarrassing!
As the book continues, we realize we have one who wants an immediate commitment because the energy between them is palpable; while the other is afraid of commitment because Disney’s Princess stories are only for the films, not real life. As a pact is made to be friends, can they stay fully committed to this agreement, or will they let the heat come between them? Or, will they have to call it quits all together?
This book is a great story about resisting love because the thought of a broken heart is earth-shattering enough. To actually have to go through it? Impossible! Read to find out what happens between Libby and Zach!
This is the first book in the “Love Burns” series, and I already cannot wait for the second book to be released!
Toasted by Isobel Reed was such a good story. Could you imagine meeting a bunch of hot firemen because your toaster blew up lol. I mean there has to be better ways, but surely not a more humorous way lol.
Right from the start this story is full of fun, sass, and spot on banter. I loved Zach and Libby and the chemistry they had. I found myself laughing several times and even crying a bit at all Libby had been through. It’s amazing how without meaning to our parents can do so much damage that lasts us a lifetime.
The secondary characters were also funny, and I thought the author did a great job of keeping the story light, but also intimate. This author did a very nice job of showing the sexy side without being graphic, which I really appreciated because it allowed the storyline to really open up.
The battle these two have one wants more than the other was done in a very realistic way. As a whole, I found myself enjoying the story from an author whose work I’ve never read before. I cannot wait to read book 2 and see what else is in store for this wonderful little town. If you enjoy a contemporary romance with some romantic comedy, you will want to pick up this book right away.
Man oh man! Such a wonderful book! You get hooked in so fast with this one! The first chapter had me cracking up! You will fall in love with these characters so quick. You'll be yelling at them, laughing at them, and so much more while you follow their story. In this book you meet Libby and Zach. Libby has been in Woodvally Pines all of one day and she's already caught her kitchen on fire. With toast! Yes, you read that right. Toast!! LOL. Who knew that toasters could just spontaneously burst into flames? She sure didn't!! So she's in shock still when the firemen come to the recue. Zach is trying to look over Libby to make sure she is okay. She's in pink Disney pajamas, ranting about people keeping toaster fires a secret, and boy is he trying his hardest not to laugh! The spark between the two of them is instant. Only problem is Libby doesn't date. So begins the rollercoaster of Zach trying to change her mind. Will these to burn each other before everything falls apart or will the spark ignite and last forever? These two are so cute and funny. You will really enjoy this funny romance. Plus there are hunky firefighters! :)
Cute characters, excellent banter, decent emotional swing. Wasn’t expecting all the good parts to be in the FTB, but overall a good read.
Libby has a jaded outlook on love and relationships. It is easy to see where she got it when you hear her story. After she moves into her recently deceased aunt’s home, either her luck changes or the universe is playing a joke on her. Libby attempts to make toast but the toaster bursts into flames and the fire department rushes in!
Zach never expected to meet the most amazing woman putting out a toaster fire. The woman standing in front of him in pajamas covered in Disney princesses is more than he bargained for. They each feel the immediate and intense chemistry between them. But Libby wants to keep Zach at arm’s length or as simply the best in her memories.
Zach isn’t having it. Zach consistently pushes Libby’s boundaries to get her to accept more and more of him. Until Zach wants labels and Libby won’t concede.
The heat between Zach and Libby is scorching. Wishing there was more of it on the page. Excellent way to start the series. Can’t wait to see if Cody can tame Cat!!
Hello ? Someone give me a match ! I need to make a fire ‘! I need a fireman 👨🚒🤣🥰🔥especially if he looks like the one on the cover and even more so if he’s anything like Zach , man he’s a sweetheart 😉
So Libby inherits a house from her aunt and on her first day in her “ new home “ in her new town she manages to start a fire by simply making toast ! 🤣 I must say I was in hysterics because it sound like something that would happen to me 😉
Anyhoo the fire brigade are on their way and the delectable man to save her in her Disney princess jammies has eyes anyone could drown in and I’d say there’s more that just the toaster smoking 🔥😜 Zach had me swooning from the get go 🥰and he’s got confidence but not arrogance and those dimples … I know I’m weak but what can I say 🙈🤣😜
There was just something about Libby that got Zach and it went both ways and I loved watching Zach and his brothers tease , laugh and have serious moments especially when it came to the ranch and it’s future this is one of those families you just feel part of and most of all I loved how he “pushed” Libby into a relationship and not just something casual , they had me on my toes that’s for sure
I laughed , I loved and yes I shed a tear or 2 these people will climb into your heart and stay there for long after the last page ❣️📚this is one of those reads I just want everyone to read !
This is the first book in the Love Burns series. This is a great rom com with characters I couldn't help but fall in love with. The chemistry between Zach and Libby is instant and the fact that Zach is a hot fireman is definitely extra points for me. This story is full of sizzling chemistry, emotions, and tension as you are left throughout the story wondering if they will or won't get together. Libby has just moved to the small town. She hasn't met anyone but this definately wasn't how she wanted to introduce herself with a fire started by her toaster. When Zach arrives he expects this to just be another call out. He doesn't expect to meet a woman who does things to him that he can't even explain. He doesn't know what it is that he's feeling but he knows he can't let her go. But things won't be easy as Libby tells Zach she doesn't date. Can Zach get Libby to take a chance on a relationship with him? What does he need to do for her to take that chance? And with so much chemistry between them how long is just being friends going to last? I really enjoyed this story and I can't wait to read more in this series.
I love that beginning of the story where Libby just moves to a new town and she has a toaster just immediately set itself on fire. What a way to start a book! I love the first interaction that Libby had with Zach. And then after she meets him while he is putting out the toaster on fire, they hit it off. And Zach is a man who likes to take charge, which I love😉I love a man who tells me what to do. I love the chemistry that Libby and Zach have in this book. Their chemistry is off the charts! I also love that Libby is a curvy woman, which I also am. I love the curvy appreciation in romance books and not being shamed by not looking like a twiggy woman as I call them. I love that the author wrote about a curvy woman who is happy with her body! I also loved the way that the author wrote Zach and he never gives up trying to get Libby to be his girlfriend. I also love a happy ending, but no spoilers here y’all. Read the book! I can not wait to read the next book in the series about Cat and Cody!
Toasted was a very good read. I like my books with more steam in them but this was a good book. I loved the characters. Libby had just moved into a new place she isn’t familiar with. It’s a small town where everyone knows eachother and gossip is at an all time high. Libby’s toaster decided it was going to malfunction while she’s in her tiny Disney pjs. The fire department came and right away Zach checked Libby out to Make sure she wasn’t injured. They were talking and the chemistry was immediate. Libby wasn’t looking for a relationship but Zach wasn’t looking for a one night stand. Zach kept fighting for Libby but she kept pushing him away. This was a sweet wholesome read with lots of banter and cute moments. Will Libby ever give in to her feelings and give a relationship a shot with Zach or will she lose him for good. She wants friends with benefits but he wants a full blown relationship. Good read. Looking forward to more in this series but hope there’s a bit more heat in the other books.
What a fun romance book this was, I like that the action starts right off. The humor in the story is so fun, and the characters are just awesome. I love that it's a typical role reversal where the male is more confident in knowing he wants a relationship, and it is the female character who is very back and forth on what she wants. The character development was extremely well written, you get a feel for who your characters are right away, but there is still this deep mystery about our main female, Libby, that makes you wonder why she is so anti-relationships, especially with a cute firefighter that she is obviously attracted too! Zach is such a sweet guy, and his friends are just great to watch as they interact with one another. This is a great first book in a new series that will have you wanting to read more about the other characters and their lack of relationships. I'm looking forward to seeing what the author has next in store for this great group of firefighters. @Brandy Rymer 06/2024
To be honest, Ms. Reed had me at hunky fireman- the rest was really just a bonus. Toasted is the first book in the Love Burns series by Isobel Reed. As expected from this talented storyteller, it is a fun, yet touching, contemporary romance with a small-town setting, emotion, humour, endearing characters, chemistry, sparks, and just enough tension to keep things interesting. When her toaster goes up in flames, Libby’s world gets much ‘hotter’ in more ways than one. Zack is there to put out that fire, while igniting a different kind of flame in Libby. She is the sassy damsel in distress, and he is the protective hero who swoops in to save the day. Add in some fun, banter, heartwarming romance, friendship, sass, snark, and emotion- and their story takes life. Can’t wait for Book #2, ‘Cop-Off’, which is Cat and Cody’s story (whom we meet in this instalment as they are Libby, and Zack’s, best friends). Happy Reading…
Libby is brand-spanking-new in town and has finally reached the end of her first day. She is in her comfy pink Disney pajamas and just wants some toast to unwind - which is how and when she learns that an old toaster and uncleaned crumbs can cause a real life fire! Totally flabbergasted, she finally comes to a bit more to her surroundings when an insanely hot fireman is coaxing her out of her new home to safety. Zach is a fireman in Libby's new town and happens to be the one coaxing her to safety, and a very welcome but distracting view.
There really weren't any surprises in this storyline but it was so fun, so cute, I had an abundance of moments where I actually laughed out loud. The chemistry and character building was great and I will absolutely be following up with the other additions that will be made to this series. Such a super read for summer - fun and light and hilarious and a touch steamy. Loved Libby and Zach!!
This is an author that I have enjoyed reading from the first book I picked up. This author’s books are engaging and hard to put down. I enjoy their writing skills as well as their attention to details that pull you into the character’s world. This book is no different. It is a well written story about a toaster fire, the owner of said toaster and the firefighter that comes to the rescue. Libby and Zach are great characters that I had no problems connecting to. They have great chemistry from the beginning and watching their growth throughout the story just made it easy to read. I enjoyed how they pulled me into their world and had me turning pages fast just to see what would happen next with them. What will fate have in store for these two? This is a fast paced story that is entertaining to read and one you don’t want to miss. This is one of my favorites by this author yet. I highly recommend this book.
5 Stars Toasted (Love Burns Series Book 1) by Isobel Reed
Toasted is the first book in the Love Burns Series and is a Contemporary Romance that will have you turning the pages till the end. I was pulled in from the beginning and found myself lost in the pages, I couldn’t put it down and read in one afternoon. I loved everything about this book and who doesn’t love hot sexy firemen? I sure do. These have sizzling chemistry between them and holy cow did the temperature rise during certain scenes. Whew. Zack and Libby meet for the first time when Libby’s toaster catches fire and Zack is one of the Hot as sin Firefighter s that save the day. She’s a sassy little thing and he loves it. These two banter back and forth and the attraction is off the charts. Can Zack convince Libby to give into a real relationship with him? I loved everything about this book and highly recommend reading it to find out what happens next. I’m already super excited about the next book in this series.
An entertaining, enjoyable and engaging contemporary romance which kept me happily turning the pages. This is book one in a new series about the “hunky” firefighters that “save the day” in the small town of Woodvalley Pines. Libby is new to the town and has a bad start when she’s the victim of a toaster fire which sets her kitchen on fire. To make matters worst she’s dressed in pink Disney pyjamas when the “smokin’” hot firefighters turn up to save the day. Firefighter Zach is half amused and half intrigued by the angry woman accusing him of keeping toaster fire safety a secret, but he’s definitely attracted to her. Libby and Zach’s instant chemistry sizzles off the page and leads to some spicy scenes, however their developing relationship may or may not be a long term romance. No spoilers, as I recommend picking up this fun, humorous, flirty book up and escaping to Woodvalley Pines for a while!
Isobel Reed is a first time author for me, but when I saw "hot firefighter" I had to pick it up! Toasted is the first book in the Love Burns Series. This was such a feel good, quick story but was still fun to read. Libby and Zach's relationship begins when he rescues her from a burning toaster, and only gets more entertaining from there. Libby and Zach have instant chemistry that Libby attempts to resist for fear of getting hurt. This book has very little drama, lots of humor and wit, and an instant connection. It was a lot less spicy than I am used to, but it was also refreshing at the same time. The characters are realistic, believable, and oh-so-lovable while the world building is well written. I am looking forward to the next book in the Love Burns Series as well as other books by Isobel Reed!
Isobel Reed’s “Toasted” is a delightful blend of humor, heat, and heart. From the very first page, readers are plunged into the quirky world of Woodvalley Pines, where kitchen mishaps and unexpected sparks collide.
Libby and Zach’s chemistry ignites instantly. Their banter crackles like flames, and readers will find themselves rooting for this unlikely pair. But can their spark withstand the test of time? Will it fizzle out like a burnt slice of toast, or will it blaze into something more profound?
Isobel Reed has crafted a romance that’s as irresistible as a warm bagel fresh from the toaster. With witty dialogue, quirky characters, and a love story that smolders, “Toasted” earns a well-deserved five stars. So grab your favorite mug, brew a cup of coffee, and dive into this delightful read—you won’t be disappointed!
Toasted (Love Burns Series Book 1) by Isobel Reed. This is such a fun spicy romance and what's better than hot firemen??? This is the story of Libby who accidentally sets her toaster on fire and the next thing she knows she has a house full of hot firemen and she's in her pjs. Zack is one of those firemen and he's immediately taken with Libby. Libby is as sassy as they come and Zack can think of nothing he likes more. He doesn't force her to want him, he lets her figure it out on her own and when she does, whewwww! Her best friends are the perfect buffer for her and keep her grounded enough that she doesn't do something stupid. Zack isn't really interested in a relationship but Libby might just be the one to change his mind. Such a fun and funny romance that will keep you turning the pages late in the night. Can't wait to read the next one!
I’ve read a couple of books by this author before, so I knew I was in for a good read when I picked this one up. This is the first book in the Love Burns series, and it is amazing! The cover obviously grabbed me, but that was far from the best part. The very first page had me incredibly intrigued, but the pages following hooked me for good. I couldn’t even tell you the other things I did the day I read this because it took over and left me with a serious book hangover. The way that Libby speaks and thinks is way too relatable and had me busting out laughing several times. The chemistry between her and Zach was extremely strong which was wonderful. There is a little bit of spice, adventure, and romance here, and you’ll find yourself rooting for these main characters. If you’re looking for an incredibly captivating contemporary romance book, this should be on your list for sure!
Toasted (Love Burns Séries Book 1) by Isobel Reed 4 Stars
This was a fun book to read. Romance is in the air and for Libby it comes in the form of a hot, hunky firefighter. If firemen in my area looked like Zach, I’d be starting fires every day. Woodvalley Pines is a small town with big gossiping mouths. In the week that Libby has been there, she almost set her house on fire (who knew toasters can combust?) and the gossips have turned her being asked on a date to “getting it on” at the Farm and Fresh. Life is definitely too wild for this introvert. The chemistry is off the charts between Zach and Libby and their quick and witty banter will have you laughing. This is a feel good romance that will have you falling in love with the characters and Woodvalley Pines. I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
Libby has been in the town no more than minutes it seems like but who would know that her toaster would catch on fire and cause a storm. Who knew that this is a thing, not her. When the fire brigade comes to the rescue all she can do is feel embarrassed and angry.
Zach turns up to a woman in Disney Pj's shouting about no-one told her about the secret of toaster fires and how dangerous they can be but all Zach thinks is she is adorable and really wants to get to know this woman. But can he charm her to go out with him or have to jump through hoops?
This is a quick lunchtime read that was light and just a lovely story. The chemistry with these two characters jumped off the page and was just wonderful to read. I have read a few books by Isobel and this one does not disappoint, can't wait to read more.
This is the start of the series and it starts with a bang. I couldn't put it down. I read this book in a day. It was a quick read for me because it flowed really smoothly all throughout the book. The meet cute in this book is so worth it. It brings a whole new meaning to the title. lol. This boo had me giggling and on the verge of tears at one point. I feel that it was really well written in order to pull all of those emotions out of me. The characters are well rounded and have development throughout the story. I feel that the following books in the series will be about the supporting characters in this book, so it is laying a great foundation for the rest of the series. There is steam in this book, which I love to read. Hands down this book did not disappoint on any level and I am excited to read the next one in the series.
A wonderful and simply perfect small town romance. I love how Libby and Zack chance meet, due to a house fire caused by her toaster. That cracked me up, especially her thinking and taking allowed about the toaster. Zack is infatuated right away and I fall in love with the way he falls in love with her. His possessive moments of her are also super hot. Her reasons for not wanting a relationship are valid but, all the “love” she saw growing up was with her mom and her boyfriends, never her, she needs to take a chance. Her friends Rachel and Cat are the perfect girlfriends to have in her corner and to give it to her straight. I really look forward to Cat and Cody’s story. From the way they interact at the end of this book, I know it will be a fun ride.
Toasted by Isobel Reed is book one in the Love Burns series. This is not my first story by Isobel and I haven’t been disappointed yet! Libby gets welcomed into town by all the hot Firemen, isn’t that how everyone is? At least she had clothes on! I basically fell in love with Libby. She’s someone you’d want to be friends with. I loved her inner dialogue, it was hilarious and sooo relatable. Zach was cute and sweet. I loved how he saw what he wanted and went for it but wasn’t overbearing and willing to give space. Though I thought it could use some more spice, I was obsessed with this story. It was a fun, fast read that had me laughing and enjoying it the entire time. The conflict is minimal, mainly between the characters and their own mind but the story was still great.
I’ve read Reed’s previous Love Tools series and absolutely loved it! When I saw this new book in a new series, I definitely wanted to give it a try! This first one did not disappoint! It is love centered, entertaining as well as story driven. Libby is new to Woodvalley Pines and after a little mishap in the kitchen, a fire erupts. In a moment of embarrassment, she encountered firefighters help with the fire and one in particular, Zach becomes intrigued by Libby and is eager to learn more about her. Her stories are full of sweet, funny romantic moments and deep character development. As you read along and learn more about the scenery and characters, the readers are drawn into a relatable plot. I cannot wait till the next one comes out!
If you aren't hooked within the first few pages there is no hope for you. A woman with a burning toaster and a call to the fire department is how it all started and the entertainment doesn't let up.
Zach a firefighter/medic is the first on the scene to make contact with Libby who has been in town an entire day before this craziness happens.
I loved the boys, they give each other a hard time no matter the reason. But when a girl is involved they all seemed to regress back to being school age boys.
This book was not too long but throughly enjoyable, and how can you go wrong with firefighters?
This is not my first book by Ms. Reed and I can promise I will be reading the rest of this series.
What a great first in the series! This is my first book by this author, and I am really impressed. I love how the author came up with the name of this book. Libby almost burned her house down the first day of being there by her toaster. The fire department shows up, and Zach, a fireman, gets her out of the house, and this is when it starts. The chemistry is definitely there, and Zach is in love from the beginning, but Libby has a lot of emotional baggage from her life with her mother and her many men. Libby doesn't trust love and is totally scared of it. This book has just enough spice, but boy, could the author really spice this one up if she wanted to. I rate this book as a 4.7, but that's not an option on this platform. Can't wait for the next book in this series!
