I started reading this book over my wife’s shoulder. She’s read all of the popular lady porn books out there. But this one changed her. She didn't eat for 2 days and I couldn't get her away from it. So in bed one night I read the page she was reading and I thought it was pretty damn good. After the 2 day marathon of her reading it I grabbed her kindle and read it myself.
I was amazed at how great this story was, and I couldn't believe that a book could turn me on the way this did. The sex scenes were fantastic, hot, erotic, very sexy and some of the underground scenes were just plain “wow”. I could totally visualise myself there.
Now about the story, I loved the men in this Novel, Max and Tristan were my favourite the man crush between them was just fantastic. There is a great dynamic within this story. You feel the relationships evolve as the story moves along. From the info I've been able to gather from the net this will be a series of novels chaining into secondary characters, so we should get an other glimpse into some of the great secondary characters, looking forward to it.
Evangelina is such a loving character I think we would all like to have someone like her in our lives. She’s strong, fun, friendly, honest not judgemental in the least and so in tuned with her own sexuality. I just adored her.
Oh and I loved that she was vegan, (my wife and I are) and I liked that she’s a foodie, so many people think eating vegan is tasteless, Evangelina’s reaction to her food went against that and I loved it.
My wife said she loved how this book was like candy, lots of action and no wasted descriptive page fillers, which I have to agree, it’s straight to the point, all story. The language is crude and as a man I like that the words used to describe everything were written in that manner. We've both recommended it to our friends. Warning it does bring up the topic of conversation about open relationships ;-)

Just finished this book. It is very easy to get into the story and feel the writer's passion in more ways than one. The characters are believable and are living much of todays trend. Unexpected situations and issues and plenty of exciting sex scenes will keep you reading and wanting more. Bravo on this first novel, I am waiting with great anticipation for the sequel which I hope will be coming soon.

I couldn’t put the book down and kept sneaking away to find a private moment to read the next paragraph. I love that the characters seem to be 40ish and perhaps that is why I connected with them, especially Michelle. I love that Evangelina is strong enough to have weak moments and the sex, well… get the book!

Before I get started I feel like I need to clarify one important fact. This book falls into a genre that I love. I enjoy reading Erotica and I’m not the slightest bit uncomfortable with dirty talk, same sex relations, multiple partners, etc. I love it all. In fact, the steamier the better.
I will also point out that I hate writing negative reviews, but I do it out of a sense of obligation for other readers who like to scope out reviews before purchasing a book and to offer constructive criticism to the author. I review EVERYTHING I read so I’m not singling out any one author or aiming to personally attack an author or their work.
So now on to my review. I’m going to do this in bullet format instead of writing out a formal review so it’s quick and hopefully painless. These are my issues:
• There are too many inconsistencies in Evangelina’s character. She’s supposed to be mature for her age with a good, strong head on her shoulders, but at times she comes off as completely childish and immature. When she has a meltdown she collapses into a fit of tears and comes across as weak. Also, she’s supposed to be hung up on her dead “boyfriend” yet has sex with anyone and everyone who’s interested. At random time she remembers him and gets sad but then it’s on to the next guy’s bed.
• The supposed love triangle is nonexistent for a majority of the book. Nothing happens to lead you to believe there is anything between Evangelina & Phillip and then all of a sudden he loves her and is jealous of her relationship with Tristan. And she suddenly worries about what Phillip thinks and wonders if she loves him back. None of it is believable.
• The dialogue itself is awkward and not realistic at all. Very few living breathing people, if any, talk the way these characters do.
• The attempts at humor are forced. And what’s supposed to be funny just isn’t. This happens quite a bit throughout the book.
• I couldn’t connect with any of the characters. They need more developing and more time put into them and their individual stories.
• The story itself was all over the place. And then it ends in a cliffhanger that comes way out of left field.
• I think the author was going for shock value with this one because of all the BDSM, same sex relations & multiple partner scenes. The sex tends to overpower the story line and doesn’t really “wow” me or bring anything new to the table.
• This may seem ridiculous but there are way too many exclamation points used in normal conversation between characters. They pop up at awkward & inappropriate times, which does kind of throw you off when you’re in the middle of reading.
I did read the entire book but just couldn’t get into it at all. The potential for an unforgettable mind-blowing 5 star read is there but it missed the mark for me. Unfortunately I just can’t recommend this one.

Now this is erotica, simply amazing! How to throw yourself out of your own life into a crazy world of sex... I was entertained and turned on to this book, it might be written more with a male frame of mind and I think you have to be open-minded to enjoy this. If you want a cookie cutter love story with a sideline of sex this isn’t it. I can see why some wouldn’t like, but for those same reasons I just loved this novel, looking forward to the second. The sex scenes are completely sexy and outrageous, like nothing I have read before, it kind of reads like series of short stories, but it’s not, hard to explain. I say pick it up and take a chance.

I absolutely loved this book. It's very sexy and hot but what I loved the most about this book is it's originality. I have read many erotica books and found that this one was very different from everything else I`ve read.
It's captivating and got me under it's spell. I fell in love with the characters in the book. Evangelina is a strong powerful and sexual woman yet she has this sensitivity and vulnerability about her. From the first couple of pages I was hooked. It was a super exciting read.
I highly recommend this book to men and women.
Anne-Marie Jean blew me away with her imagination and originality.

This is a great read and looking forward to finishing it! Would recommend this to all my friends. If you enjoy erotica you will really love this novel. Author did a sensational job with her characters and overall concept of the book!!

Evangelina lost her mom at a very young age and her dad takes the loss badly. He changes and becomes cold ,as if he's just going through the motions.
Frederick her uncle has always taken a keen interest in her life but over time he develops deeper feelings for her and eventually acts on them and she responds positively and a beautiful love affair develops between them♥[ NOW BEFORE YOU GO EEEW READ the story first before judging!]which sadly ends in his death by her father's hand and sees her father in prison. The only beautiful thing she had in her life is now tainted :'(
I understand the realtionship being questioned but they shared a love that doesn't often come around . Frederick taught her alot about life and yes he taught alot sexually as well ! Later in the book we're introduced to Philip but he had the best description of their relationship "Evangelina the heart doesn't choose whom it loves.Your love might have been unusual but it was real and definitely beautiful.You should feel no shame in it."
When Frederick died he left Evangelina everything and this sees her with more wealth than she actually knows what to do with but she remains grounded and finishes her studies at Harvard and works as an "employee" at one of the companies that she actually owns!
Evangelina is a very sexual being and goes to underground clubs where she meets Philip and they become best friends . Their relationship definitely adds a new meaning to "friends with benefits"
Evangelina moves from Boston back to Montreal and into Frederick's penthouse where the staff/friends embrace her with open arms ,they all knew how much he loved her♥
Michele , the "boutique" owner knew Frederick well and she becomes really good friends with Evangelina and I think it helps that she knows their history. Evangelina and Michele come up with a business ide and Michele has contacts in the underground and introduces her to Tristan and the chemistry between these 2 is off the charts from the get go !
Evangelina tells Tristan of her proposal and he's keen and off she goes to source her first escort that will naturally be trained by her ! Naughty madam! Hunter , is the first and he's an inked god ! Lucky girl!
Hunter moves into the penthouse and his training begins and its more than just sex it's decorum, fashion, wine and yes ALOT of sex! I'm touched by this strange but special family consisting ,at this point ,of Liz , the housekeeper who's maternal , Max the British driver , Hunter our escort in training and if course Evangelina , our madam! I think we can add Michele as well as she's there so often ♥
Eventhough Philip and Evangelina are close she hasn't shared Frederick with him and shes developing feelings for Tristan. She needs to talk with both of them and lay Frederick to rest and move on with her life.
After a double date , Tristan and Evangelina give into their chemistry and well I nearly self combusted!
The story takes a bit of a twist wgen Philip decides to move to Montreal. The story takes on a very kinked twist ! Then our "Library" scene takes place ! This must be one of the most erotic scenes I've ever read and rather educational lol !

It would seem he married her for citizenship (he's Australian) but this chick , Chloe is rather unstable and obsessed with Tristan and DOES NOT take kindly to the relationship and sends a rather scary and threatening parcel to Evangelina and the story takes a bit of a twist .
By this time Evangelina has shared her love story and tragic past with the men in her life.Also it would serm that she's received a letter from the prison where her father is serving his sentence . She hasn't seen him in years and she has questions that only he knows the answers to.
After yet another confrontation with Chloe, Evangelina is so pissed and in anger and frustration she opens the letter from the prison and is shocked by her findings !!! MAJOR CLIFFHANGER !!!
At times the sex scenes became a bit much for me but I'm still giving it ★★★★★ because of the story behind the kink. I'm looking forward to "Madam Unleashed"
I'd like to know what happens to Hunter. Does Michele eventually hook up with Max?What happens to Chloe? What about this love triangle between Tristan, Evangelina and Philip........I'd suggest a minage! I'm also very curious about her shocking discovery that was our cliffhanger!

While I started reading this book with the expectation of a love triangle, heartbreak and lots of sex scenes, I was not prepared for the creativity, details or knowledge that the author portrays throughout the book. I was slightly shocked by some of the scenes, and I have read a lot of erotica books, so be warned that there are some things in this book that you may have never thought of and will read about.
With that being said, I enjoyed the book for the most part, however, I found some things to just be entirely unbelievable, such as, the relationships between the characters and the overall vibe of the characters. I didn't really "bond" with any of them or feel like I would want to be friends with any of them if the opportunity were there. I think that the main character needed some further development and wisdom on how to become an adult, even though she was in these adult situations. I also felt like there was never really a love triangle, that it was more like a circle, as most of the characters have had sex with each other or in groups throughout the book. I felt like there were never any defined relationships with anyone and that there were lines that were crossed throughout the book. I can't say that I didn't understand the book, but that there were situations that were entirely unrealistic to say the least. I am not sure that the characters really would have all sat in one room watching tv after an all night orgy party, especially when the men outnumber the women.
I think that the book had the potential to be a 5 star read if the author spent more time on the characters and not the sex. I feel as if there should have been more development of the characters especially with the backstory of Evangelina being told, there were a lot of opportunities to make the reader really like her, but they were missed throughout the story. Overall, I would recommend the book if you enjoy sex scenes as opposed to an actual story being told, but if you are looking for a story, then this may not be the book that you would choose. Don't get me wrong, there is a story, but it is lacking some of the key elements that would have made it a 5 star story. The sex scenes tend to overpower the story lines and interrupts the flow of the story that is trying hard to come out. Overall it was a so-so book for me, I finished it, I liked parts of it, but it's not a re-read by any means.
