My New Favorite Travel Guide

I fell in love with Lonely Planet Experience Japan a few weeks ago, and this book is no different in quality.

I don't want to go back to the traditional kind of travel guides after reading these two!

I love what Lonely Planet is doing with their guides.
The Experience series is outstanding.

Great photos, fun places, the biggest highlights, and a bit of history and culture. Also, my favorite way to highlight the different regions.

A must read if you want to check out Japan and/or Tokyo.

I like how this is organized by neighborhood rather than by type of experience, so that you can cluster your experiences and plan each day based on what's nearby. Very useful. The commentary is interesting and the full-color photos are great. Made me excited for my upcoming trip to Japan.

A small compact book filled with fantastic detail about different areas to experience in Tokyo. A variety of experiences and sights are listed and instructions to get there are easy to understand. Lots of colourful images add to the enjoyment.

Heel goed, alles mooi in districten ingedeeld. Deze pak ik er weer bij als we daadwerkelijk naar Tokio gaan.

This just recently acquired guide is exactly a plan to visit and see places as I usually execute while travelling , and did it in Tokyo already.

Practical, informative, useful tourist book.

Normally, I would read a book like this with a pile of sticky tabs to mark all the things that I want to see and do.. but it's hard to get excited about planning a trip to Japan/Tokyo at the moment with so many restrictions in place. That is not the books fault, that's all me (and COVID has something to do with it!)

But this is still packed with information, hints and tips about your travel and exploring different areas of this amazing city. There is even a map in the back to help you out as well. The book is well laid out with it's information which is hugely helpful.

Will probably pick this up again, when planning my next trip.

I think I liked this book more than Lonely Planet's regular Tokyo book. Rarher than saying this and this is a must see it at least givves some more context that see this if you are into this. Note that while it lists some neighborhoods and things that I haven't heard the book also lists Tokyo's most frequented attractions. It would have been more useful to others if it made which is which clear.

I’m only here in the pictures.
Travel seems so far away still so became a little sad. However, still something to dream about.
