Chance has brought Blake Mills back into her life. The textbook bad boy Chloe gave her young body and tender love to ten long years ago. He betrayed her trust, broke her heart, stole from her family…proved just how bad he truly was. Her fury still rages a decade later–so why does she want him more than ever?
Blake never stopped wanting Chloe Lewis. Through years of bad choices, Chloe was his guiding light, leading him away from a life of crime to turn him into the man he’s become, a respectable, decorated member of the NOPD. Now, seeing her again, Blake understands the mere memory of their love, their combustible lust, will never be enough.
When they reach the crash point, will love be enough to save them?
Crash Point was previously part of the Riding Desire Anthology.

I love most books by Mari Carr, but this one is my least favorite. I understand his reason, as a nineteen year old, for ghosting her ten years ago, but he had turned his life around and was back in town for six years without a word, then accidentally runs into her and suddenly he wants her back. She's understandably angry and hurt, but she just can't resist him, and within a couple of weeks they're declaring their love. I'm sorry, but no one is the same person at 29 that they were at 19, and I find it disingenuous that they can just pick back up where they left off with only an "I'm sorry" to cover what happened.
Quick read. It was okay, kind of cuts off at the end. Basically bad boy, fathers an ass, good girl, great home life. Fall in love, 3 months late shit meets fan and he does something stupid because he doesn't want to admit his life is bad. Fast forward ten years later. She's doing a photo shoot and he's a model in it. He's a cop now and wants her back. We all know what happens so I'll just say the ending was very abrupt. I'm guessing there is more in the series.
One of those h's who tells herself she won't give in to the attraction to H and then lies down and becomes a doormat - with a Welcome sign. H gets his way every single time plus his reason for leaving h was lame.
Wow, this book, this second chance love between Blake Mills and Chloe Lewis is the perfect example of second chances at romance. Ten years ago, two 19-year-old kids fell in love, and one was very definitely from the wrong side of the tracks. Only this time it wasn’t the parents with the perfect family life messing it up, Blake managed to do that all on his own, breaking both his and Chloe’s hearts in the process. He was just too young and stupid, and too much a victim of circumstance to realise it at the time.
What I loved about this second chance love is that during those 10 years apart, not only has Chloe realised her goal as a photographer, but Blake has become the man he is today because of her. I loved him and his tenaciousness, because he knew that Mama Lewis still saw the best in him, and I think we both hoped that Chloe would too.
This was a beautiful romance with the right amount of hot and spicy that I just couldn’t put down. 4.5 Stars.
Crash Point is a great contemporary romance by Mari Carr. This is a fairly quick read, perfect for those with limited reading time. Ms. Carr has produced a book that is well-written and packed with outstanding characters. Blake stole from her family and left her all on the same night, now he's back in her life. Chloe doesn't want to photograph Blake but doesn't have much choice. Chloe and Blake's story has plenty of drama, steam and humor. I enjoyed this second chance romance and look forward to reading more from Mari Carr soon. Crash Point is book 2 of the Big Easy Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.
This was a sweet, but slightly intense, second chance romance. After a decade apart, these two connect, but everything is still unresolved. He works hard though to win her back, and no is not an option. Luckily, she comes around pretty quickly, and they start to work things out. Time heals all wounds, and didn’t dim the heat between them one bit!
Another great book in this series. I love reading second chance love stories and stories with big families that all get along, so this book was right up my alley. Can't wait to read the next one.
Book12/14, by Mari Carr, a good 5. Yea another 5 for this boxed set. Forgiveness is obtainable, it has to come from all parties involved. Including the perp. I hope there's more to this series, I cannot wait to read more if so! I was just a little upset to find out I was reading book 2 prior to book 1. Otherwise I LOVED this book immensely! It had 2 things I really LOVE, 1-a cop, 2-bad boy w/bike.
I've read this before in the Riding Desires compilation and its better reading it with the other books in the Big Easy series. Its gets 4 stars cause I wanted more it is a 5 star book Chloe Lewis is the photographer of a calendar to fund Blessing House a place for kids and famlies that needs a place to stay and during the calendar she meets her old boyfriend Blake a sexy as sin NOPD cop and he has some making up to do for leaving her and stealing from mama Lewis when 10 yrs earlier
At First i thought this book wasn't going to be very interesting or anything but sometime during the story (when all the hot stuff started) I changed my mind. This book was so good. It had some serious things in it, feelings and bad stuff but it also had some amazingly hot sex in it and humour. So it wasn't too heavy to read.
Chloe and Blake were in love, or so she thought. He stole from her family and left her with a broken heart. When they end up crossing paths again, she is still furious with him and he is still in love with her. He will do whatever he can to show her that he loves her and prove that she still loves him.
Didn't like this one as much as Blank Canvas, the end was kind of predictable but im really enjoying Mari Carr's writing style so im looking forward to know the rest of the Lewis brothers.
I did love to know what happened with Caliph and Jen and characters of this one, Blake and Chloe are really easy to connect to. Bottom line was an easy, fast read and very nice love scenes.
Loved it.. Blake will get to your heart , for the way he loves Chloe . The way she tries to be strong around Blake and tries to make him think she's over him is precious .. But she can only hold out so long n then again is back in blakes arms to stay . You will laugh and cry . But it's all worth it at the end
Blake was Chloe's first love, but he broke her heart 10 years ago when he stole from her family and left without a word. Now he's back, sent by the NOPD as their representative for he charity calendar Chloe is taking photos for. This was a hot, hot, hot story although very short. I loved both characters and would have loved to have a longer book!
10 años después se encuentan en una sesión de fotos, ninguno ha olvidado al otro, pero la forma en que el desaparición no le permite perdonarlo, hasta que se explica y aceptan que se amana.
Nice, sweet, quick story. If it were a full length book, it would've gotten boring pretty fast, so the shortness was good. Shame some thing dragged, while there could've been a twist or two more. This way it became an easily forgettable read.
I love this series. Love New Orleans. Love this family and can't wait for more. This is the story of old loves. A teenager romance that ended with lots love and stolen property
Reunited with Blake 10 years after a sizzling summer spent together at age 19, Chloe isn't sure she wants to look past her hurt and heartbreak and work with him on a charity project. Lots of emotional depth and plenty of very steamy sexy times packed into 87 pages. Definitely recommend.
