The “queen” of fast-pitch softball is doing everything she can to get Stephanie out of the picture. As Stephanie struggles to deal with Jackie—and be a friend to a teammate with an eating disorder—she determines to be a peacemaker, and faith grows in the process. Exciting sports, intense competition, inspiring stories . . . Game On! is a sports fiction series that presents true-to-life stories of young athletes who must overcome obstacles on and off the field. The characters aren’t always the best athletes, but they aren’t always underdogs either. As these athletes work through intense personal struggles, how will their faith change them—and impact others?
I absolutely loved this book. This book is about an 8th grader named Stephanie. Stephanie was going to a softball tryout where she had met a girl name, Alexis. Alexis sadly suffered from an eating disorder because of her mother, who didn't feed Alexis since she was "fat" even though she was as skinny as can be. Stephanie had some enemies throughout the book, but I'll let you read about that and how they became enemies. A guy named Matt has always been there for Stephaine until Stephanie made a kinda bold move to hold his hand one day, Matt never really talked to her after that for 2 weeks. A month later Stephanie and Matt went out to go get ice cream. Matt then asked Stephaine to be his girlfriend! (She said yes by the way). Now I don't really know what to say because I don't want to spoil anything. Overall I loved this book that I would read it again!
