About the author

Akira Toriyama (鳥山明) was a Japanese manga artist and character designer. He first achieved mainstream recognition for creating the popular manga series Dr. Slump, before going on to create Dragon Ball (his most famous work) and acting as a character designer for several popular video games such as the Dragon Quest series, Chrono Trigger, and Blue Dragon. Toriyama came to be regarded as one of the most important authors in the history of manga with his works highly influential and popular, particularly Dragon Ball, which many manga artists cite as a source of inspiration.
He earned the 1981 Shogakukan Manga Award for best shōnen/shōjo manga with Dr. Slump, and it went on to sell over 35 million copies in Japan. It was adapted into a successful anime series, with a second anime created in 1997, 13 years after the manga ended.
His next series, Dragon Ball, would become one of the most popular and successful manga in the world. Having sold 260 million copies worldwide, it is one of the best-selling manga series of all time and is considered a key work in increasing manga circulation to its peak in the mid-1980s and mid-1990s. Overseas, Dragon Ball's anime adaptations have been more successful than the manga and are credited with boosting anime's popularity in the Western world. In 2019, Toriyama was decorated a Chevalier of the French Ordre des Arts et des Lettres for his contributions to the arts.
In October 2024, Toriyama was inducted into the Harvey Awards Hall of Fame.

[Amburusset]

Les planches restent toujours jolies avec des beaux jeux de contraste que cela se retranscrive par les trames mais aussi via le mouvement. Les combats bien que trainants en longueur restent tout de même très rythmés, on tourne les pages avec plaisir et ferveur (même si je trouve que parfois certains passages manquent d'intensité et peuvent traîner en longueur).
Les jeux de mots restent toujours très drôle offrant une part humoristique au récit non négligeable !

Me ha gustado bastante, la verdad; y ha sido muy entretenida la pelea entre Goku y Vegeta *^*
Aún así, han habido algunas partes que se me han hecho algo densas. Este tomo no me ha gustado tanto xD No obstante, eso no quita que me haya encantado.

Goku vient d'arriver sur Terre et combat Nappa. Il le domine largement en force et en vitesse.

Cela agace Végéta qui le remplace et finit même par le tuer. Le premier combat entre Goku et Végéta débute. Gohan et Krilin vont retourner à Kame House pour ne pas gêner Goku. Le combat est, cette fois, beaucoup plus difficile. Végéta est très puissant. Goku doit utiliser le kaioken et le multiplier à plusieurs reprises, en prenant le risque d'abimer son corps.

On se rend compte que Yajirobé est là, il se planque pour des raisons évidentes. Goku est en très mauvaise posture. Végéta recrée une mini lune afin de se transformer en singe géant et l'achever. Goku tente d'utiliser le genki dama mais échoue. Krilin et Gohan, sentant l'énergie de Goko diminuer à vue d'oeil, sont revenus et tentent de lui couper la queue. Finalement, cet honneur reviendra à Yajirobé. Goku transmet le genki dama à Krilin, qui rate Végéta, mais Gohan le revoie et ils le touchent.

Végéta est fou de rage. Il tente de les tuer tous les quatre. Au dernier moment, la queue de Gohan a repoussé et il se transforme à son tour en singe géant.

Che volume adrenalinico! Goku e Vegeta combattono fino allo stremo delle proprie forze, ma il principe dei Saiyan è un osso duro da battere. Fortunatamente Goku può contare sull'instancabile aiuto di amici che non ce la fanno ad abbandonarlo anche quando la situazione è disperata. Comunque, con questa rilettura mi sono ricordata per bene come mai all'inizio avessi una fortissima repulsione per Vegeta: era dannatamente odioso e supponente. Meno male che poi migliora!

Un dels millors combats després del time-speed. En Vegeta uns dels meus personatges preferis però no recordava lo mal xinat que era al començament XD.
S'ha passat super-rapid al combat amb ganes de més.
